[Lingjing] The grudge of the aunt in the vegetable market

Winter 1998, Jianghai, Shaohua District

It rained heavily in the middle of the night last night, and the asphalt road in front of the market was already sloppy. The various wheels working together made the ground a mess as usual.

The buildings that make up this market have exterior walls made of washed stone rice, a material that no one can use anymore. The unnecessary height of the roof creates a huge vertical space. If the weather is good, the sunlight is hollowed out from the surrounding walls.

The light shines in and forms sloping beams of light. The low one-story houses extend to both sides. Looking slightly farther away, there are new buildings and new communities wrapped in ceramic tiles, terrazzo, and mosaics. In fact, this is exactly what happened.

The epitome of most Chinese cities in that era: tradition and new trends were crowded together, and they were in harmony with each other. Of course, the so-called tradition here actually only has a history of a few decades at most, and most of them started in the late 1940s and were deeply influenced by it.

It was gradually developed under the influence of Soviet style.

The cement stand used for selling has long been occupied, and there is also a row outside along the wall of the vegetable market. The trolley occupies the largest area, followed by the bamboo basket carried on the pole, or there is just one basket filled with food.

After walking all the way from the entrance without a gate, various ingredients emit different smells. The places where river fresh food is concentrated naturally have the lingering smell of fish. The area near the meat stall always makes people think of greasy fat and fat.

There were shouts and shouts and loud calls to give way, all mixed together to create the atmosphere of an active vegetable market.

"Ah sneeze——"

"You have the flu?"
