Chapter 48 A turning point appears

Xiaowu usually sleeps in a side room in the hospital. He mainly assists Old Man Li in completing the task of decoction.

Of course, as a handyman, he also has to do the sanitation in the courtyard, and even the chores outside the courtyard, such as going out to buy medicinal materials.

The senior brothers also said that Guo Silang would leave early tomorrow morning, but Huang An would naturally be uneasy if he didn't see it with his own eyes.

However, he didn't want to risk leaving the martial arts gym, so he had no choice but to ask Xiao Wu.

Xiaowu will definitely be able to help him!

When Huang An came, Xiao Wu was sitting on the stool at the mouth of the stove, with one elbow on his knees, his hand supporting his little head, and one hand under his armpit. His head was moving little by little, and he was dozing off.<

Hot water is boiling in the pot, and white water vapor slowly floats along the edge of the pot, and then disappears into the cold air.

"Ahem!"

Huang An coughed slightly, the sound was a bit loud.

Xiaowu woke up immediately like a frightened rabbit.

When he saw it was Huang An, he breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the corners of his mouth, and said in surprise:

"Brother Huang? Why are you here?

After saying that, he pulled out the stool under his buttocks and moved it to the other side of the stove mouth for Huang An to sit on, and said diligently:

"Come, Brother Huang, sit here, it's too cold today."

Huang An noticed Xiao Wu's ears that were red from the cold, but he didn't see any cracks.

Obviously, it is quite good to do this kind of work beside the stove in winter.

Huang An was not polite, walked over and sat on the stool, and skillfully reached out to the stove mouth to start the fire.

Xiao Wu also pulled up a stool, sat down in his original position, and looked at Huang An quietly, waiting for Huang An to speak.

The two of them are quite familiar.

"Xiaowu, can I ask you to do me a favor?"

Huang An directly stated his intention.

Xiaowu's eyes narrowed and he said in surprise:

"What did Brother Huang say? Just tell me, hehe!"

Xiao Wu didn’t ask any questions and just agreed.

"Last time you said you had met Mr. Guo Silang from the Martial Arts Department of the City Lord's Mansion. Do you still recognize him now?"

"I recognize it, I recognize it. Uncle Li and I go to the Martial Arts Department to collect medicinal materials from the owner of the museum every month. If we have met Fourth Master, we must recognize him."

Xiao Wu didn’t hesitate at all.

However, after he finished speaking, he frowned slightly and hesitated to Huang An:

"However, the servants from the Martial Arts Department said a few days ago that the fourth master should leave tomorrow morning. Is Brother Huang having trouble with the fourth master?"

It seems that Xiaowu is quite excited, and he does know Guo Silang very well, and he actually knows the day of Guo Silang's departure in advance.

Huang An breathed a long sigh of relief and sighed helplessly:

"I don't know how I offended Mr. Guo. I was targeted by him a few days ago. Aren't I afraid?"

Xiaowu said oh and chuckled:

"No wonder Brother Huang hasn't even left the martial arts gym these days."

Xiao Wu joked, and when Huang An glared at him, he immediately laughed and said with a chuckle:

"However, Guo Silang will leave tomorrow morning, so Brother Huang doesn't have to be afraid, haha!"

Huang An also laughed when he heard this.

"So, I want you to go see with your own eyes tomorrow morning whether Guo Silang has really left, and then come back and tell me! How about I wait for you here with a big bun?"

As soon as Huang An finished speaking, Xiao Wu's eyes lit up, he licked his lips and his chest made a bang bang sound.

"Brother Huang, don't worry. I will go and guard the city lord's palace gate before dawn tomorrow morning. I will follow Guo Silang out of the city gate and come back again! I promise to keep a watchful eye!"

Huang An laughed and patted Xiao Wu on the shoulder.

"Then it's all up to you. I'll clean the hospital tomorrow morning!"

The two exchanged a few words, and after hearing that Old Man Li asked Xiao Wu to bring the foot-washing water in, Huang Ancai and Xiao Wu said goodbye and left.

Huang An woke up at 5:30 a.m. the next day.

Today is four days before the New Year's Eve in my hometown, and three days until the master comes back.

He simply washed up and went straight to the yard where Xiao Wu was.

Xiao Wu got up early, and even the brazier was lit. The fire was raging, and Xiao Wu was bending over to roast sweet potatoes.

Looking at the brown skin of the sweet potatoes, Huang An knew that he had gotten up very early.

"Xiaowu!"

Huang An called out and walked over directly.

"Brother Huang, here we come!"

Xiao Wu looked up and saw that it was Huang An, and he immediately smiled.

There are two stools next to the brazier. One is Xiaowu sitting on it, and the other is empty. Xiaowu must have prepared it for him.

Huang An grabbed the stool and sat down.

"The kitchen is not ready yet, and the big buns are not available yet. If you don't have anything to eat here, you will go hungry."

He explained.

Xiao Wu's face was stern, he rolled his eyes at Huang An angrily, and said with a frown:

"Brother Huang is looking down on others, isn't he? I, Xiao Wu, helped Brother Huang because of the big bun?"

Although Xiao Wu is a handyman in a martial arts gym and can't even fill his stomach, he still has some dignity as a human being.

This may be the only thing he can offer in front of Huang An.

Huang An knew that he had said the wrong thing, and his heart skipped a beat, and he apologized repeatedly.

Xiaowu simply knew Huang An as a person and did not take the opportunity to laugh at him. His emotions came and went even faster.

He handed a roasted sweet potato to Huang An, and then, regardless of how hot it was, he stuffed another sweet potato into his arms, gasped, and jumped out of the hospital quickly.

As Xiao Wu left, the entire courtyard instantly became much quieter, with only the sound of fierce wind and fire.

The weather was so cold that even if Huang An had the strength of Qi and blood and had a brazier in front of him to warm himself, he still felt freezing.

It was pitch black all around, and even the stars in the sky were extremely dim in winter.

Huang An tightened his tight clothes, rubbed his hands, looked around, and found that the space in the yard was pretty good.

He stood up straight and began to practice the turtle character exercise.

Fists, feet, knees, elbows, claws, martial arts are so powerful that tigers and tigers make wind.

Xiaowu came back around 7:30. When he came back, his nose was wet with cold, his whole body was shaking unconsciously, and even his teeth were chattering.

This reminded Huang An of when he was a university student in the north, returning to his dormitory after staying up all night in winter.

When Xiao Wu came back, Huang An had already cleaned up the courtyard and was baking buns with Old Man Li around the brazier.

As the New Year is approaching, most of the disciples in the martial arts school are going home, visiting relatives, and the tasks of decoction in the hospital.

Presumably, in the past few days, Mr. Li and Xiao Wu’s life will be more leisurely than usual.

"How was it?"

When Huang An saw Xiao Wu step into the courtyard, he immediately handed over a big hot bun in his hand and asked hurriedly.

Xiaowu raised his hand, swept his arm across his face, wiped his nose with his sleeve, chuckled, and took the steaming bun with both hands.

"Let's go, let's go. I saw Guo Silang leave the city with my own eyes. He was riding a brown and red horse, and he had a big black hat on his head. I heard it was made from bearskin."

Xiaowu's face was red from the cold, and cracks could be clearly seen on his cheeks.

Huang An didn't dislike Xiao Wu's lack of hygiene. He patted his shoulder and pulled him to the brazier.

"Quick, hurry up and warm yourself up!"

Xiao Wu was so greedy that he just sat down, moved the stool closer to the brazier, then took the hot buns and stuffed them into his mouth, which made Old Man Li burst out laughing.

"Huang An, when will you go back? When will you come back?"

Old Uncle Li has been following Xiao Wu for several meals, and his relationship with Huang An is quite familiar.

He brought another stool, placed it next to the brazier, and sat down himself.

He moved the stool he was sitting on to sit at Huang An's feet.

Huang An was not polite, thanked him, took the stool and put it under his butt.

"I'll go back at noon tomorrow, and I'll be back soon after the New Year."

"The relationship is good, okay. When Brother Huang comes back, come directly to the yard, and I will roast the hare for you to eat."

Xiao Wu on the side suddenly interrupted, and after finishing speaking, he lowered his head and ate fiercely.

Huang An was puzzled, and Old Man Li smiled and said:

"After Mr. Zhao comes back, we will also go back to Zhuangzi outside the city to celebrate the New Year. There are quite a lot of hares in the fields outside the city. Every year, these wild boys can catch more than a dozen."

Huang An said "Oh", no wonder he didn't see the handyman cleaning the hall, he smiled and said:

"That's a good feeling."

After the two sides exchanged a few words, Huang An stood up to say goodbye and left the place quickly.

Then he went straight to his yard and started today's martial arts training task.

He is indeed planning to go back tomorrow, and there is no way he can delay it any longer.

As for going back now, Huang An has also thought about it, but for the sake of his own safety, he still thinks of waiting one more day.

What if Guo Silang didn't leave? If he goes out now, wouldn't he be throwing himself into a trap?

If Guo Silang really appeared in front of Huang An tomorrow, he would have nothing to say.

After all, it’s freezing cold outside, so if Guo Silang can stay outside the martial arts gym all night for him, that’s considered a great person.

It's Huang An's own misfortune.

However, what makes Huang An feel regretful is that he heard that the master will arrive the day after tomorrow.

It's such a pity that I couldn't say goodbye to my master before I left. They just missed each other.

There was nothing to say all night, and in a blink of an eye it was eight o'clock in the morning the next day.

Before six-thirty, Huang An got up and practiced martial arts like his two senior sisters.

While everyone was eating breakfast in the kitchen, Huang An formally made a request to leave at noon.

Although the two senior sisters felt sorry for him, they did not try to persuade him to stay.

Because Huang An said the day before yesterday that he would go back to the courtyard as soon as possible to clean up his home and prepare things like new year's goods.

Junior Brother Huang also said that this year is the happiest year for him in so many years. It is possible to cure his serious illness. He will go back to burn incense and pray for his parents, grandfather and brother.

With this righteousness in mind, the two Zhao sisters would not ask or say anything.

"Junior brother, if you feel bored, you can come to our Zhaojia Zhuangzi to find us. The Zhuangzi is very lively. You can get there by walking along the main road after leaving the city gate."

The little money fan still cares about Huang An after all.

Her words made Huang An feel warm in his heart, and he chuckled:

"Don't worry, little senior sister. The martial arts gym will open after the new year. Junior brother, I will be back right away!"

After chatting with the two senior sisters about some gossip, and pretending to ask for advice on the back steps of the Turtle Character Exercise, Huang Ancai solemnly said goodbye to the two senior sisters and turned around to get his luggage in the hospital.

His luggage is relatively small, just a change of clothes, the shoes issued by the martial arts school, and some scattered copper coins, silver, daggers and the like.

After he got up in the morning, he put away these things with an oil lamp and placed them on the table in the house.

When passing by the martial arts training ground, Huang An said hello to Xiao Wu and Old Man Li, then took a detour and left through the side door of the martial arts gym.
