Chapter 470 The whereabouts of the original

Because he was worried that Chu Yuhong's health would relapse, Chu Chenxun did not follow Yu Fei to Kyoto.

Qi Zhi's flight was a little later than Yu Fei's, so when Yu Fei arrived, Ma Shangdu, who came to pick him up, couldn't see the Yongle Dian at the first time, and he couldn't help but feel a little regretful.

The two waited at the airport for more than ten minutes before Qi Zhi got off the plane.

What he held in his hand was the thin book that Yu Fei said seemed to be from the Yongle Grand Ceremony.

Of course, a packaging box was carefully added outside.

Yu Fei took it and wanted to open it for Ma Shangdu to see, but was stopped by Ma Shangdu. It would be too disrespectful to open it here, and the weather would also have a negative impact on its preservation. It is better to open it after going back.

At this time, the discussion on the eleven-volume copy of the Yongle Drama donated by St. Petersburg University has come to an end. Now there is more discussion about the search for copies of the Yongle Dadian. Some people have even proposed to find the original copy of the Yongle Dadian.

When Ma Shangdu and others walked into the venue, there was a sensation. It was obvious that Ma Shangdu had already announced the news that Yu Fei had discovered a volume of the Yongle Grand Ceremony.

Yu Fei couldn't help but curse in his heart: If this thing is true, forget it. If it's wrong, then he will be in great disgrace and something like this happened without even giving instructions.

He didn't know that Ma Shangdu had intentionally released it. He felt that Yi Fei's research and discovery of antiques had made a great contribution to antique collection, archeology and even historical research. A person like him should be known and respected by the world.

.should receive corresponding status and treatment. That’s why I intend to take this opportunity to push Yu Fei to the stage.

You kid, you can do something wrong for me after not seeing each other for a few days. If this thing is not right, I will see how you end up. Dong Dechang came over and whispered.

Yu Fei said with a bitter face: Uncle Dong, don't blame me, okay? I originally wanted to show you and Brother Ma the book to read, but who would have thought that he would cause such a big battle?

Okay, stop complaining. Hurry up and take your things to the podium. Dong Dechang said.

In order to appraise Yu Fei's book, the conference was specifically interrupted, and several calligraphy and painting appraisal experts and scholars who studied the Yongle Dadian were recommended to jointly conduct the appraisal.

Although the book jacket has fallen off, there is a lot of information on the pages. Therefore, the identification work is not complicated at all. Soon several experts unanimously determined that this book is indeed one of the copies of the Yongle Dadian.

For a moment, all the participants stood up and applauded, expressing their appreciation and gratitude to Fei.

This made Yu Fei feel a little embarrassed.

At this time, an old man about sixty years old walked up to Yu Fei.

Young man, you are young and promising. I want to thank you on behalf of my teacher. The old man stretched out his hand and said.

Yu Fei was confused for a while. He thought to himself, who are you and who is your teacher?

Seeing Yu Fei's confusion, Ma Shangdu quickly stepped forward to introduce him.

The old man's name is Luan Minggui, and he is a research expert on Yongle Dadian. And his teacher is the famous Qian Shuzhong

According to Luan Minggui's recollection, in 1972, Qian Shuzhong gave him a postgraduate proposition in the workshop of the cadre school, which was to spend ten years studying and sorting out the Yongle Grand Ceremony. Under the guidance of Qian Shuzhong and his wife, Luan Minggui spent two full years.

It took fifteen years to finally research and publish an index of Yongle Dadian. During this process, Luan Minggui even quit his job.

This made Yu Fei admire him very much. He himself could not settle down to study. He had great respect for these older generation scholars who were studying.

Mr. Luan, please don't say that, you are going to hurt me. Yu Fei said quickly: You and Mr. Qian are both people I admire. When it comes to thanking you, I should also thank you.

The reason why St. Petersburg University donated these 11 Yongle Dadian is fundamentally due to the warming of relations between China and Russia.

After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Russia and other CIS countries needed to seek support from China. And this goodwill was ultimately reflected in all aspects of economic and cultural exchanges.

The focus of today’s discussion is the whereabouts of the original copy of my Yongle Dadian.

There have been five speculations about the whereabouts of the original Yongle Dadian:

One is that the Great Fire of Qianqing Palace was destroyed in the Qing Dynasty. But this view is problematic, because judging from historical records, the Yongle Dadian disappeared after Longqing in the Ming Dynasty. Therefore, whether there is an original copy of the Yongle Dadian in the Qing Dynasty is itself A question. Of course, unless the emperors and ministers of the Ming and Qing dynasties kept this matter secret. This seems impossible.

The second possibility is that it was destroyed when the Ming Dynasty fell. When the Ming Dynasty fell, Emperor Chongzhen was hanged on a coal mountain. King Chuang entered Beijing, killed and plundered the treasures. King Chuang must have looked down upon these broken scrolls. , so it was very likely that it was destroyed when the Ming Dynasty fell. The possible objection to this possibility is the same as the previous one. Why was there no record of the whereabouts of the original copy after Emperor Longqing?

The third possibility is that it was destroyed by the Wanli fire in the Ming Dynasty. This view can be roughly the same or similar to the first and second. Most of the buildings in ancient times were of wooden structure. It is very easy to have a fire. If a fire occurs, you want to put it out. It is also very difficult. The more than 10,000 volumes of the original Yongle Dadian may have been destroyed in a fire.

Yu Fei did not comment on the destruction and did not participate in the discussion. If the original copy has been destroyed, is there any point in arguing about how it was destroyed?

The fourth possibility is that it is hidden in the wall of the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. The Imperial Palace is a place where books were collected in ancient times. So this is indeed a possibility. But the question arises again. If it is true, then who is going to hide it? The Yongle Collection is hidden in the palace of Emperor Shichen. It is not clear whether his motive was for fun or to avoid the war.

The fifth possibility, as advocated by Luan Minggui, is that the Yongle Dadian is hidden in the Dingling Tombs of the Thirteen Tombs, the tomb of Emperor Jiajing. There are many reasons for this.

The first is because Emperor Jiaqing liked Yongle Dadian very much. There were two emperors in Ming Dynasty who liked Yongle Dadian, one was Ming Xiaozong and the other was Ming Shizong, also known as Emperor Jiajing.

In comparison, Emperor Jiajing was even more fond of him because he had been absent-minded for several cases. During the fire in the palace in the thirty-sixth year of Jiajing, he issued three or four orders in one night to save the ceremony. ; Later he decided to re-record one.

Since Emperor Jiajing loves Yongle Dadian so much, is it possible that he allowed it to be buried for him? This is very possible. After all, ancient emperors attached great importance to their own affairs. There must be.

Emperor Jiajing, in particular, visited his mausoleum several times during his lifetime. Could it be that he was so concerned about his mausoleum to prepare for the storage of the Yongle Ceremony? If this is true, then it can be speculated that when he ordered the re-recording During the Yongle Ceremony, I had actually decided to take the original copy to my grave.

The second reason is the issue of timing. The re-recording work started in the 41st year of Jiajing. Even after Emperor Jiajing died, the re-recording work continued.

Emperor Jiajing died in December 1566 and was buried in Yongling in March 1567. In other words, there were three months between Emperor Jiajing's death and his burial. It was not until April 15 that Emperor Longqing, who succeeded him, granted the Yongle Grand Ceremony

Re-recording personnel. There is no clear record of when the re-recording was completed.

There is a time difference. Could it be that the reason why Emperor Jiajing was buried late was to wait for the copy of the Yongle Ceremony to be copied and then bury the original together?

Among these five possible speculations, the first three as damage theories cannot be verified.

The fourth type of research is not very troublesome. The Palace Museum once measured the area and actual use area of the Imperial Palace. Although several secret chambers were found, the original Yongle Dadian was not found.

What more people agree with is the burial theory. After all, there are indeed many coincidences and doubts in it.

However, it is much more troublesome to verify the fifth conjecture, because Dingling Tomb has been closed so far and has not been excavated.

Judging from the world's principles for the excavation of ancient ruins, as long as it is not a rescue excavation or necessary, ancient ruins cannot be excavated.

Some people also think of other detection methods, such as the cinnabar detection method. The Yongle Dadian uses red and black pens, of which the red pen is cinnabar, and cinnabar is radioactive. Can the existence of cinnabar be detected based on this to determine the original copy of the Yongle Dadian?

Whether it exists in Dingling. But the actual situation is that the amount of cinnabar used in the ceremony is simply not enough to detect. So we can only leave it alone.

After hearing this, Yu Fei suddenly had another idea. To be continued...
