The man walked leisurely in the corridor, everything in front of him seemed so familiar.
The armor that has been pushed down by Peeves more than once, the ancient but not mottled walls, and the familiar blue sky and white clouds outside the window.
Peter didn't know if he had fulfilled his mother's wish. He survived the terrible war, but he was alone, without a wife, no children, and no... home.
An equally lonely stone statue caught Peter's wandering eyes. It was squatting in an alcove, staring at the passers-by.
A few good friends used to come in and out of here frequently. As long as they scratched the ears of the stone statue and patted its left front paw, a secret passage leading to the ground would appear. The exit was very close to the kitchen.
Peter's eyes were a little dazed, as if he saw four little wizards running past him, with food residue and oil stains on the corners of their mouths.
He has never thought of hurting his friends, nor does he want to do so.
But when terror struck, Peter did not hesitate to sell James and Lily, his best friends and former protectors.
Just because I haven’t thought about it doesn’t mean I won’t do it, and if I don’t want to do it, it doesn’t mean I can’t.
Overcoming fear is courage.
Stepping through temptation means persevering.
Digging through confusion leads to clarity.
So, what does it mean to betray friendship? What does it mean to be greedy for life when you feel guilty?
"Hey! Coward!"
Peter was walking in the corridor with his eyes blank, when a loud shout suddenly came to his ears.
"Coward, charge with Sir Cadogan! Be brave, we have nothing to fear...ah~ouch~eh..."
The sudden shout dispelled Peter's fugue. He followed the sound and looked to the wall on the left. A knight charged forward, and the next second he was pushed to the ground by the troll and violently beaten.
It was a huge tapestry, and Peter remembered it. The troll beat the silly Barnabas with a club. This is a very old story.
The tapestry looks quite old, and there are still traces of moth damage on it, but obviously the troll doesn't care about this, and keeps swinging the big stick in his hand while spinning.
"Come on, Sir Cadogan is not afraid of you. Hey, you coward outside, did a mere troll scare you? Why don't you charge with me?"
The knight struggled to crawl on the ground, knocking down the six big club joints in turn. If Cadogan was still alive, it probably wouldn't take long before he could be called Cadogan-chan...
"Hey, kid, I remember you, the follower behind those two bad guys."
Cadogan panted and crawled to the edge of the tapestry, finally getting rid of the troll's pursuit. However, a brown-haired man in the center of the picture still yelled at him dissatisfied, but no sound was heard.
"Don't be ungrateful, Barnabas. If I hadn't stopped those trolls, you would have been beaten."
The knight turned around and shouted angrily, and sure enough, the brown-haired wizard was whipped away by the troll, but he got up as if nothing had happened and continued to teach the big men how to dance ballet.
"Good afternoon, Sir Cadogan, I didn't expect to see you here."
Although "coward", "coward" and other titles were used in turn, Peter still greeted the knight politely, with some nostalgia in his tone.
Peter is not a generous person, nor is Peter a stingy person. He is just very tolerant, even if the object is just the character in the painting.
"I'm not okay at all. Today was really bad. A cat scratched my canvas."
Even when he was beaten violently, the knight's waist was still straight. However, thinking of his recent experience, Sir Cadogan's head slumped and his shoulders slumped. His whole body collapsed, and a large shadow appeared behind him.
"Ah, it's that cat, don't come over here!"
Sir Cadogan suddenly screamed, jumped up and turned around to run away.
"Don't be afraid, Sir Cadogan, I will bring Tom to apologize to you."
A gentle male voice suddenly sounded. The knight stopped running away, but Peter's hair stood up in shock.
Before the other party spoke, he didn't notice anyone behind him at all!
"Hello, Professor Scamander."
Peter turned around and said hello to Aini, with a deep fear flashing in his eyes.
"Hello, Professor Pedillo."
After greeting each other, Ani brought Tom to the knight.
"Meow~"
Tom reluctantly called out. This little man has such a bad mouth that he doesn’t want to apologize to him.
"Sir Cadogan, your portrait has been restored and you can go back at any time."
Ani said and nodded the cat's forehead angrily. He originally thought that Tom just scratched a painting, but when he got there, he discovered that Tom's "one" did not refer to the painting, but to the little man in the painting.
.
It did only attack Sir Cadogan, but the characters in the painting in the magical world can run away, and the cat messed up half the corridor in pursuit.
Those portraits were all magic items, and it was difficult to restore them without damage even with Ani's level of repair spell. In the end, Dumbledore was invited to restore the corridor to its original state.
"Ha, you dirty hypocrite, don't try to fool the shrewd Sir Cadogan. If you have the guts, drive that monster away. Let's fight one on one. Come on, bastard!"
Seeing Aini's gentle attitude, the knight immediately ran over with high spirits, his sword whirring in his hand.
"Okay, let's have a knight showdown."
Aini accepted Cadogan's invitation with a smile, stretched out his hand, and another knight appeared in the tapestry, and the two sides started fighting.
He thought he could easily deal with the Cadogan Knight, but after more than ten minutes, the villain controlled by Aini chopped his opponent to the ground.
"Huh~huh~ you are a real strong man. Cadogan pays tribute to you. Huh~ the previous things have been wiped out."
Sir Cadogan stood up panting and gave a knightly salute to Aini, then ran out of the tapestry, and then his divine voice came from the frame not far away.
"The horse and I are separated. When we find it, we will fight again."
"It's a deal, sir."
Aini waved his hand in the direction Cadogan left with a calm face, but he was very surprised in his heart.
Everyone underestimated this knight who usually looked out of place. Originally, Ani thought he could defeat him easily. Who wanted to fight him? The opponent's sword skills were very exquisite. If he didn't have the Eye of True Seeing, he would still be able to use it.
My thoughts accelerated and I almost overturned.
Cadogan?
Maybe we can get in touch with him more in the future and listen to his stories.
"Meow~"
Tom looked at Ernie pitifully, his little tail wagging restlessly.
"Stop causing damage and go play."
As soon as Aini finished speaking, the cat's eyes immediately became bright and bright, and it ran out in the direction Cadogan left.
"Don't scratch those portraits..."
"Meow~"
I only had time to say something, and the cat ran across the corridor and disappeared.
"It's funny, Tom is more active by nature."
Ani smiled gently, but the words that followed made Peter feel nervous. He felt the cold light on the other person's white teeth, as if he was chewing the secret in his heart.
"Are you looking for the Room of Requirement? Professor Pedillo."
