0099 Burnt Pillowcase

Vernon straightened his collar, he was about to meet Mr. Mason, and he had to be perfect.

This is a big deal. If it can be completed, the family will not have to worry about money for a long time.

After meeting Mr. Mason, Vernon had to go to the sports store to see what Harry had said his broom was used for.

Quidditch?

Although the gameplay sounds a bit fancy, it seems to be similar to American football, and protection must be taken.

Happy days always pass quickly, and before you know it, the sun has set. After Harry's chubby uncle returned the phone call home, he also staggered into the car.

Well, it seems that the space is a little bigger than before. The potion Harry brought is really effective. The fat on the belly has shrunk a lot in the past week or so.

Vernon hummed an old song softly. It had been ten years and he had never felt so relaxed as he had recently.

There was a large, beautifully wrapped box in the trunk. It was Harry's gift, but Vernon thought it would be more meaningful to give it to his nephew on his birthday some time later.

Mr. Dursley talked about this matter with his wife yesterday, and the two were hesitating whether to throw a party for Harry.

Although their attitude toward magic has eased, they feel that they still need to rebuild their psychology after suddenly inviting a bunch of "weirdos" to their homes.

Yes, although they no longer reject magic as before, wizards are still a group of weirdos in their hearts.

The formation of this impression is inseparable from Severus Snape, James Potter and Rubeus Hagrid.

Fortunately, the couple didn't know how many of them could be considered Dumbledore's generals, otherwise they might have classified the white wizard they had never met as the director of a mental hospital.

And inviting acquaintances to celebrate Harry...

Looking at the red light on the opposite side, Vernon rubbed his fat face, which was thinner than before.

Damn St. Bruce Security Center School for Young Offenders, I must have had a brain cramp at that time to think of such an unreliable excuse.

No. 4 Privet Drive.

Although Petunia has been married to Vernon for more than ten years, they have not yet reached the point of understanding each other, and are unaware of her husband's current distress, but this does not prevent her from preparing for Mr. Dursley's return home.

"Harry, Dally~" Petunia put down the phone and called to the two children who were still playing.

"Mom (aunt)."

"Vernon will be back soon. Put the inner hall in order. Go back upstairs to tidy up yourself. Hurry up." Petunia looked at her watch. It would be a while before her husband would be back, but she knew that the two children were playing games.

What kind of virtue is this? The half-hour margin is a bit tight for them.

"Wait a minute, mom, give me 5 minutes, no, 3 minutes, we are about to clear the level."

Sure enough, when Dali heard the call, he pressed his cousin down and shouted to his mother without looking back. The little man on the screen rushed towards the Grand Duke Garibaldi.

"Okay, but remember you only have 5 minutes. I will turn off the TV when the time is up." Penny said it hard, but in fact she left at least 25 minutes for the children.

Anyway, it's just an ordinary family dinner tonight. The atmosphere at home has rarely been so cheerful in so many years, so let them go.

However, what was unexpected was that the two brothers, who used to be very affectionate when playing, were surprisingly efficient today. After three and a half minutes, they stood up and started cleaning up the inner hall with dark faces.

After finishing tidying up, the two looked at each other with disgust for a few seconds, and then walked to their respective rooms with a cold snort.

Tsk, I was just yelled by my mother (aunt). I was so panicked that I couldn’t even operate. I actually took all the damage from the golden man and ended up completely destroyed.

Recalling the final BOOS battle, the two of them complained in their hearts.

As soon as Harry stepped into the bedroom, Hedwig fluttered his wings and flew onto his shoulder.

"Good boy." Harry rubbed the snowy owl's soft little head, looked at the sky and then opened the window on the side.

"Shh, don't go out yet. Wait until it gets darker. I'll go downstairs in a while and you can go play by yourself." Harry opened a box of canned cats and put it on the table. Since Harry promised his cousin that he would let Hideaway go when school starts,

After giving him some snacks, Little Fatty asked his aunt for a lot of these things.

Sure enough, the owl just has one more pair of wings than the cat. This small can that can make Tom salivate also conquered Hedwig's body and mind.

Hmm?

Harry looked at the lawn downstairs in confusion. A square object was lying quietly on the grass blades. It looked like... an envelope?

And it looks very quaint, similar to the admission notice I received last year.

Putting Hedwig on the table to enjoy the can, Harry ran away in a flash.

"Harry, what are you going to do? Dinner will be served soon after Vernon comes back." Hearing the footsteps heading towards the door, Petunia leaned out of the kitchen wearing an apron and shouted.

"I'll pick him up at the door and help my uncle carry his things." Harry replied hastily and walked out.

"This kid." Petunia muttered softly and pulled her body back, and then the clanking sound of the spatula seemed to become lighter.

After leaving the house, Harry ran straight over and picked up the envelope. Just looking at the address column, he knew it was from the wizarding world.

[Collected by Mr. Potter from the west bedroom on the second floor, 4 Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey]

Looking at the familiar handwriting on the cover, Harry showed a heartfelt smile.

Unlike most of the days these days, a sincere smile comes from the heart.

Yes, there have been a lot more smiles on the faces of the family in more than a week, but except for the heartless Dali, how much of the others are deliberate and how much are sincere?

Everyone's attitude has changed, but it doesn't mean that if you accept it intellectually, you can really laugh it off in the blink of an eye.

But since everyone wants to laugh it off, it is much better than muddling along.

As time goes by, the former will eventually make his smile more sincere, while the latter will probably not be able to survive.

Harry habitually looked around furtively and put the letter in his arms like a thief.

After completing a set of subconscious actions, the boy patted his head. It was no longer last year, and no one would stop him from receiving the mail.

Now that you have collected the letter, let’s go back to the room and read it later.

Although it was just an excuse to pick up his uncle, it was not appropriate to go back now, so Harry just wandered outside.

Hey, what is that?

There seems to be a rag thrown on the lawn in front. Aunt Petunia would never do such a thing.

Was it thrown by passers-by?

It’s so unethical!

Harry walked over and picked up the rag, and shook it strangely. It turned out that it was not a rag, but a square and tattered pillowcase with scorch marks.

Strange, who would carry this thing with them, a homeless person?

Harry threw the torn pillowcase into the trash can with confusion, and raised his hand to block the light. It seemed to be Uncle Vernon's car.

And not long ago, thousands of kilometers away.

Aini glanced in the direction of London with a feeling, the barrier was triggered.

Hey, Dobby?

I wonder how old Mr. Malfoy will treat you?
