Chapter 149 Yunshan Returns at Dusk

Shen Yu shook his head: "Three hundred thousand is absolutely impossible. You may have some misunderstandings about this jar. You must know that this is a fake spliced jar. Who would pay a high price to buy such a jar?

"For example, if you bought a painting, half of it was painted by Zhang San and half was painted by Li Si. Would you buy such a painting?"

"This..." The middle-aged man was speechless again. Yes, he would definitely not buy it if it were for him.

Seeing that the middle-aged man was silent for a long time, Shen Yu continued: "In other words, you are a tea lover, and you must be familiar with famous wines. You go to the store to buy a jar of ten-year-old wine, but the seller adds more than half of it to you. The new wine, are you willing? Even if it is sold to you at a low price, you may not want it.

"We who are in the antique business are most afraid of losing antiques in our hands. Not everyone can afford to lose six figures of real money. Do you think this is true?"

The middle-aged man gritted his teeth and said, "Two hundred thousand, you take two hundred thousand."

"No, because you are short of money, I will increase it by 10,000 and give you 110,000." Shen Yu said.

"One hundred and eighty thousand."

"No!"

"160,000!" The middle-aged man continued to lower the price.

Shen Yu continued to shake his head: "No, no, it's really too high!"

"One hundred and fifty thousand!"

"Okay, deal!" Shen Yu agreed this time, "Do you want cash or transfer?"

The middle-aged man was startled. He didn't expect Shen Yu to agree so readily, "Cash, I want cash."

Shen Yu had roughly guessed that the other party would definitely ask for cash. He thought for a moment and said: "I took some cash yesterday but put it in the car in the underground parking lot. In this way, you can have a cup of tea in my little shop first. I'll come as soon as I go, and I can get the money in five minutes at most."

Shen Yu put the 200,000 yuan he took out for Li Qing'er from the bank yesterday in the trunk of the BMW 325iM. Now he can only use it for emergencies.

On the shoe cabinet at the entrance, Shen Yu took the car keys and was about to go downstairs. Unexpectedly, the middle-aged man stopped him, "Don't be anxious, little brother. I brought three antiques here. I don't know if you have any knowledge of ancient paintings." If you are not interested, you might as well buy it together and save yourself the hassle of running back and forth."

"Ancient paintings? Are they also passed down from your ancestors?" When asked, Shen Yu smiled awkwardly. There are no artifacts in ancient paintings. Calligraphy and paintings would have to be hung in a dry room, let alone placed in a humid underground. Only by careful preservation can it be passed down.

The middle-aged man nodded seriously: "Yes, it was passed down from that ancestor, and this painting was given to him by his friend."

When Shen Yu heard this, his heart moved. This uncle's ancestors were the fifth-grade magistrates of the Qianlong Dynasty. This official position is not high, but it is not low. The person who gave him the painting was probably a famous artist from the Qing Dynasty.

Thinking of this, Shen Yu smiled and said: "The name of my store is "Lantingju", how can I not be interested in calligraphy and painting antiques?

"Take it out. If it is really an antique calligraphy and painting, I can reassure you that the price I will pay will definitely be higher than this jar."

The middle-aged man was overjoyed: "Little brother, I am relieved by your words, but this painting is very long and your small table cannot fit it."

Shen Yu picked up the Doucai Tianzi jar, then stretched out his hand outside, "Uncle, let's go outside."

When he came outside the hall, Shen Yu first put the Tianzi jar on a shelf with an anti-fall device. After negotiating the price, Shen Yu now regarded the Tianzi jar as his own, so he had to keep it carefully. .< /p>

After repeatedly confirming safety, Shen Yu pulled out a set of movable glass display cabinets.

"This cabinet is 2.2 meters long, which is enough for you to put your paintings."

The middle-aged man removed the rope that tied the painting and slowly unfolded the painting on the glass display case.

This is a hanging scroll, ink on paper, about 100 cm in length and 45 cm in width.

As the drawing paper slowly unfolded, Shen Yu saw that it was a landscape painting depicting a water town in the south of the Yangtze River.

The distant view in the painting is of several steep and rugged peaks as straight as the clouds. The peaks are obscured by the vast clouds and mist, and the specific scene cannot be seen.

The middle scene shows a waterfall flowing down from a dangerous peak and merging into a river at the foot of the mountain. There is a dense forest with lush foliage on both sides. Among them, there is a building with cornices and horns hidden in the dense forest on the right. It is not known whether it is a temple or a Taoist temple.

A wooden bridge crosses a fast-flowing river in the close view. At this time, several woodcutter and fishermen are rushing home along the wooden bridge, carrying firewood, carrying fish, or leading buffalo. .

Not far away, there are dozens of cottages, shaded by huge trees, with smoke rising from their cooking pots. There are several children playing in the open space in front of the houses, chasing each other.

Seeing this, Shen Yu instantly pictured a picture of a woodcutter or fisherman returning home, and the family eating together, enjoying themselves happily.

This painting has elegant ink and wash, skillful brushwork, rigorous composition, simplicity and beauty. It is a masterpiece of the four painting methods of the Yuan Dynasty. The landscape and characters are integrated into one, which is beyond the reach of ordinary brushwork.

This painting actually has a title. In the upper right corner of the painting is written "The Picture of Yunshan Returning at Dusk" in regular script.

There is a line of cursive script at the bottom, which is a painting of "The Picture of Yunshan Returning at Dusk" as a gift to my friend Chen Zhengnian, in the autumn of the eighth month of Yihai, Bangda.

There are two seals next to it, the upper one is the three-character white seal of "Dong Bangda", and the lower one is the red seal of "Dongshan Famous Person".

Dong Bangda, courtesy name Fucun, nickname Dongshan, was born as a Jinshi, an important minister of the Qianlong Dynasty, a famous calligrapher and painter, and served successively as Bachelor of Servants, Bachelor of Cabinet, Li, Gong, Minister of Officials, Censor of Zuodu of the Imperial Academy, and Bachelor of the Imperial Academy, twice. Minister of the Ministry of Industry, first Minister of Rites, posthumous title Wen Ke.

He once participated in the compilation and revision of "Shiqu Baoji", "Secret Palace Pearl Forest", "Xiqing Ancient Mirror" and other records.

He was good at landscapes. He learned from the people of the Yuan Dynasty and studied with the four masters of the Yuan Dynasty. He studied the four kings of the early Qing Dynasty recently. He was good at using dry brushes to outline and erase. Later, he also referred to Dong Ju's painting method. His sky posture is extremely high and his painting skills are superb.

The most famous thing about Dong Bangda is that he is listed as one of the three Dongs. There is a poem praising him: "Far Liang, a scholar in Dongshan, and Yuan Zai in Beiyuan are all bright."

In the history of Chinese calligraphy and painting, there are three famous painters named Dong, namely: Dong Yuan, Dong Qichang, and Dong Bangda.

Although Dong Bangda is not as famous as Dong Yuan and Dong Qichang, he is still a top painter and has the reputation of being the first painter in the Qing Dynasty.

This is how Dong Bangda was evaluated in Qing history manuscripts: Bangda's landscapes originated from Dong Yuan, Ju Ran, and Huang Gongwang, and his calligraphy techniques were obtained from Dong Qichang. He was promoted to a great master after Wang Yuanqi, and he served in the imperial court for a long time.

An inch, no less than a few hundred.

The three directors all have one thing in common, that is, they are both officials and famous calligraphers and painters.

The same is true for Dong Bangda. He was an important minister that Emperor Qianlong relied on. After he passed the scholar examination, he did not continue to take the imperial examination. Instead, he chose to teach. In the first year of Yongzheng's reign, he was sent to the capital as a tribute and served as a seventh-grade household minister.

In the eleventh year of Yongzheng's reign, Dong Bangda was appointed as a Shujishi. This was a short-term position within the Hanlin Academy. Those with potential were selected among those who passed the imperial examination and became Jinshi.

Shujishi were close ministers of the emperor, responsible for drafting edicts and explaining scriptures to the emperor. Because they could often appear in front of the emperor, they could be said to be one of the candidates for future cabinet ministers.

Sure enough, in the second year of Qianlong's reign, Dong Bangda was awarded the title of editor, and in the sixth year of Qianlong's reign, he was already a bachelor's student and entered the Zhinan study room. He was already a real official of the emperor.

After that, Dong Bangda had a successful career, became a minister of the Prime Minister, and was awarded "horse riding in the Forbidden City" by Qianlong.

In addition, Dong Bangda was also the teacher of many famous figures in the Qing Dynasty, such as Ji Xiaolan, Qian Weicheng, etc.

After the death of Mrs. Dong Bangda, Ji Xiaolan, as a disciple of Dong Bangda, wrote an elegiac couplet for his wife:

The Fuchun River is the eternal green mountain, and the Qian watch will last forever. Kind training can make a wise prime minister;

Tingyutang has been wearing red curtains for nine years, and the food sheets are inspected in person. Old friends are the most grateful to my old disciples.

Dong Bangda and Cao Xueqin, the author of "A Dream of Red Mansions", are also close friends.

According to legend, there was a family in the capital who had obtained seven of Huang Gongwang's landscape paintings. He wanted to ask someone to imitate one more and make it into an even number. He then visited famous painters in the capital but was unable to do so. Later, he learned that Dong Bangda was famous and came to ask for paintings.

Dong Bangda mastered the essence of Da Chi's landscape painting, and it only took him a few days to paint an imitation of Huang Gongwang's landscape painting. It is difficult to distinguish the authenticity from the other seven paintings by hanging them together.

It is worth mentioning that his eldest son Dong Gao was more powerful. In history, it was not Liu Yong and Ji Xiaolan who fought against Heshen, but Dong Bangda's eldest son Dong Gao.

Dong Gao passed the imperial examination in the 29th year of Qianlong's reign, and ranked first and third in the examination in the second year, that is, Tanhualang.

With a stroke of his pen, Qianlong changed it to No. 1 in the Second Class A. The No. 1 in the Second Class A was called "Jindian Chuanlu", which was a decline in form but promotion in reality.

He has successively served as a scholar, editor, minister of the Ministry of Industry, minister of military aircraft, bachelor of Dongge University, bachelor of Wenhua Palace, chief military minister, chief master of the study room, and was awarded the title of "horse riding in the Forbidden City".

Among them, the bachelor of Wenhua Palace is the prime minister.

Six days after Dong Gao's death, Emperor Jiaqing came to pay homage in person, presented him as a gift to the Taifu, gave him the posthumous title Wengong, enshrined him in the Xianliang Temple, and ordered the construction of the "Dong Gong Temple" for Dong Gao.

"Uncle, your surname is Chen?" Shen Yu raised his head and asked.

The middle-aged man nodded: "My surname is Chen, and my name is Chen Chixia."

"I didn't expect that my ancestor was a close friend of Dong Bangda, a famous painter in the Qing Dynasty." Shen Yu praised.

Chen Chixia sighed: "How ashamed!"

"There is nothing to be ashamed of. Anyone's family may encounter difficulties. Uncle Chen, I wonder how much you want to sell this painting for?"
