Many of the Li and Tang royal families were fans of Wang Xizhi.
It’s not just a show, but I really like the calligraphy of the calligrapher.
There is such an incident in the old Tang Dynasty books. During the Wu Zhou Dynasty, Wu Zetian knew that Prime Minister Wang Fangqing had many books in his home, so she went to ask him to see Wang Xizhi's relics.
The allusion about Dong Bed's quick son-in-law that I mentioned before mentioned the famous official of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Prime Minister Wang Dao.
Wang Fangqing is Director Wang’s eleventh generation grandson.
Wang Fangqing also had the identity of being a famous bibliophile in the Tang Dynasty. It is said that he possesses the original works of the sage of calligraphy.
So what is the relationship between Wang Fangqing and Wang Xizhi?
This is a bit complicated to say. His ancestors Wang Dao and Wang Kuang were uncles and brothers, that is, they had the same grandfather.
And who is Wang Kuang? Wang Kuang is Wang Xizhi’s father.
Therefore, Director Wang is Wang Xizhi's cousin in terms of seniority. In other words, Wang Xizhi is Wang Fangqing's tenth generation great uncle.
When he heard that Wu Zetian came to ask for a book, Wang Fangqing said this, "I have received more than 40 pieces of books from my uncle Xizhi for ten generations. In the twelfth year of Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong purchased the book, and the ancestors have also submitted it. Only one volume is available today."
In."
To put it bluntly, it means that his family did have more than 40 authentic works from his great-uncle Wang Xizhi in the past, but in the 12th year of Emperor Zhenguan's reign, they were all submitted, and now only one volume is left at home.
After Wu Zetian ordered the two hooks to be filled with ink, she kept the copy and gave the original work back to Wang Fangqing. Wang Fangqing was very happy and even more proud of it.
There is another point that needs to be explained. When "Lanting Preface" was just completed, it was called "Linhe Preface" in the Jin Dynasty.
Later generations also called it "Preface to Xiu Yu" or "Preface to Lanting Poems", and finally "Preface to Lanting Poems", "Preface to Lanting Banquet Collection" and "Preface to Lanting Collection".
Finally, we removed the collection and called it "Lanting Preface".
After Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty received the "Lanting Preface", he often "sit to his side and read it day and night". He also ordered many great calligraphers to copy it and give it to the royal family and important ministers.
Among them, Ouyang Xun, Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang, Feng Chengsu, and Xue Ji, the five great calligraphers of the early Tang Dynasty, are the most famous.
1. "Dingwu Ben" is a copy of Ouyang Xun, a great calligrapher in the early Tang Dynasty. There is no paper copy and only rubbings have been handed down.
The so-called rubbings are made with ink on the stone carvings.
First, soak the tough tissue paper on the surface of the stone tablet, and then use a secret method to beat it to let the paper penetrate into the recessed area where the words are written on the stone tablet. After the paper dries, ink is applied, and finally it is peeled off to obtain white calligraphy on a black background. The writing style of this book is tough, simple and honest, which is a masterpiece of ink rubbing.
2. Yu Shinan's copy. Because this volume is not filled with double hooks and ink, it was once considered to be Chu Suiliang's copy. Later, Dong Qichang of the Ming Dynasty thought in his inscription and postscript that "it seems to have come from Yongxing".
Yu Shinan was granted the title of Duke of Yongxing County. Because Dong Qichang had a high prestige in the literary circle, later generations changed its name to Yu Shinan Ben.
Liang Qingbiao, a great collector in the Qing Dynasty, also signed the title of the volume: "Tang Yu Shi Nan Lin Lin Yu Tie",
This book has the writing style of Er Wang, with a thick and thick brush, soft on the outside and strong on the inside, with a smooth and elegant style.
Because the volume contains the treasure seal of the Tianli from the Tianli Palace of the Yuan Dynasty, it is also called the "Tianli Ben".
3. There are three books that Chu Suiliang came across, namely: "Poetry Book Inscribed on the Second Meter of the Eight Pillars of Orchid Pavilion", yellow silk book, and Liang Zhang's Juzang Book. These three books have a gentle Wei and Jin style, and they follow Wang Xizhi's writing style. Here, In addition to the basics, it incorporates its own style, which is also a top-notch copy.
4. The Shenlong version copied by Feng Chengsu is named after the left half of the seal of the Shenlong reign of Emperor Zhongzong of the Tang Dynasty, Li Xian, and the word "Shenlong" at the beginning of the post.
Guo Tianxi, a famous calligrapher and collector in the Yuan Dynasty, said in his postscript: "The right Tang Xian copied the Jin Youjun's "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Banquet Collection". The calligraphy is elegant, the ink color is brilliant, the beauty is extraordinary, and it is shocking.
"This must have been imitated by Feng Chengsu of Zhihong Wenguan, the calligrapher enshrined by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, on the double hook on the original "Lanting" by imperial decree."
This book uses a double hook method to fill in the ink, so that the ink does not blur outside the words, which best reflects the original appearance of Lanting.
It can be said that this version is exactly what Lanting's original work is, even in the correction of typos.
Moreover, the copying is exquisite, the brushwork, ink style, style, and charm are the best. It is recognized as the best copy of "Lanting Preface".
Speaking of this, Shen Yu pointed to the Mingben Lanting on the sandalwood square table in front of him, "This post is based on the Shenlong edition and is filled with ink again with double hooks. Of course, this is not the legendary hard yellow paper, but It's silkworm cocoon paper.
"The ancient method of copying Dharma books was mostly double hook filling with ink. Most of the Dharma books handed down from the Jin and Tang dynasties were handed down using this method.
"In addition to the Shenlong version of "Lanting Preface", Wang Xizhi's three Ping An paintings are "Ping An", "He Ru", "Feng Ju", and "Sang Luan Tie", "Er Xie Tie", "Yuan Sheng Tie" and "Yuan Huan Tie". This is true for all posts.
……
When Shen Yu returned to his seat with this authentic work of Wen Zhengming, the applause in the hall continued. Talented and knowledgeable people will be respected wherever they go. This has nothing to do with status or wealth. p >
Shen Yu finally talked about all the advantages of the copybook, which was considered as reciprocating the favor, and indirectly proved that Zhang Zongbao had a good vision. After all, Zhang Zongbao's skills in appraising calligraphy and painting have always been criticized.
Anyway, Zhang Zongbao has already said goodbye in front of so many people, so praising the other party is just a waste of saliva.
People carry people in sedan chairs, and many friends have many paths.
"I don't have stage fright, I can quote classics and references at my fingertips. My family in Qinan is great!"
Pei Yuqin unscrewed the water and handed it to Shen Yu, while looking at him with tender eyes, as if a fan had met their favorite star.
After finishing the long story-telling allusion just now, Shen Yu felt his mouth was dry and his throat was burning. He picked up the water and drank it all.
"Sister Qin, I am somewhat nervous when I say this in front of hundreds of people, but fortunately I have all this knowledge in my head, so I won't have stage fright."
Pei Yuqin: "If I guess correctly, this must be an authentic work by a certain celebrity, right?"
Shen Yu: "Well, it should be the calligraphy of Wen Zhengming, one of the four masters of the Ming Dynasty."
"Wow, isn't this a windfall? You can treat me to dinner later." Pei Yuqin said somewhat exaggeratedly.

Shen Yu smiled: "No problem, but maybe not today because I have something to do in the afternoon."
"What's going on? After the auction, it's already four or five o'clock in the afternoon. Don't you still have any important business to discuss?" Pei Yuqin asked casually.
Shen Yu smiled again: "It's nothing, just helping my ex-girlfriend move. You've seen it too. You bumped into it when you went downstairs to give me a mobile phone that day."
Shen Yu chose to tell the truth, but he did not say that he was moving to Qingyun County, lest Pei Yuqin would be unhappy.
Phew!
Pei Yuqin suddenly covered her red lips and smiled sweetly.
"Sister Qin, why are you laughing?"
Pei Yuqin looked at Shen Yu with a dimple-like smile, and said with some humor in his eyes: "Do you still care about what I think? Why didn't you say you were moving to Qingyun County?"
At this moment, Pei Yuqin was really showing off her face and smiling brightly, but Shen Yu was a little confused. He was stunned, and then let out a light sigh, "Sister Qin, this is wrong, I didn't tell you this. , how did you know? Don’t tell me that you can know five hundred years later.”
Pei Yuqin rolled her eyes at Shen Yu and said, "Where did everything go? Have you forgotten that I have shares in Nanxing Property? I am one of the vice presidents of Nanxing. Although it is in name, you appeared in the property hall. By then, someone had already called me to tell me.
"Of course, they still have professional ethics. They only said that you went to the real estate agency and didn't say a single bit of information about your ex-girlfriend.
"But, combined with your move just now, I guess it's almost the same. Now you know how powerful sister is?"
Perhaps Pei Yuqin is a few years older than herself, and she speaks like an elder sister. She often speaks in response to her own words, unlike Li Huiyun, who sometimes loses her temper.
Shen Yu felt very comfortable talking to Pei Yuqin.
