Chapter 058 The treasure in fake calligraphy and painting

Zhongzhonglou has always been very strict with Shen Yu.

If you fail to educate your son well, you must educate your grandson well.

Shen Yu was not taught medical skills by Shen Zhonglou. Instead, he taught him the art of identifying antiques.

However, Shen Yu was very playful when he was young. He would often go in his left ear and come out in his right ear.

I often excused myself by saying I was not feeling well, and in the end I didn’t even learn the three successful powers of Chongzhonglou.

Shen Yu felt regretful when the book came to use. Thinking of his laziness when he was young, Shen Yu also regretted it greatly.

But now that I have the special ability to detect treasures, God has treated me well.

When he came to the mirror, Shen Yu looked into his own eyes, feeling still very excited.

The pair of eyes in the mirror are as clear as water and seem to be getting brighter.

"Before I was knocked unconscious by the inverted fighter, I saw a curtain of light on which the five colors of blue, cyan, purple, gold, and yellow were constantly changing.

"The blue light represents the Qing Dynasty.

"The green light represents the Ming Dynasty. I already know these two.

"Do the three colors of purple, gold, and yellow represent the Yuan, Song, and Tang dynasties respectively?"

Thinking of this, Shen Yu looked at the rosewood desk next to him.

There is a white porcelain chess set in the upper right corner of the desk[si].

Shen Yu casually picked up the chess set, played with it for a few times and suddenly murmured in a low voice: "My grandfather once said that this chess set is an old item from the Tang Dynasty.

"It has a great origin. It was originally owned by Yuan Zhen, a great poet and writer of the Tang Dynasty, and was later given to his friend Bai Letian (Bai Juyi).

"It is also said that this chess set is originally a pair, one of which is engraved with the character Yuan, and the other is engraved with the character Bai.

"Unexpectedly, Bai Juyi accidentally broke one during a game of chess. Later, Bai Juyi gave the remaining chess set with the character Yuan to an old steward in the mansion.

"Then the chess set was passed down from generation to generation as a treasure by the descendants of the old steward until it was purchased by the old man for ten silver dollars in the early Republic of China.

"I asked my grandfather why he knew that this chess set belonged to Yuan Zhen of the Tang Dynasty. He said that when he purchased it, there was an heirloom booklet, which detailed the origin of the chess set.

"Now that I have the skill of appraising treasures, can I tell whether it is from the Tang Dynasty by looking at the color of the treasure on this chess set?"

After silently reciting a treasure appraisal, a ball of light yellow light condensed three inches above the chess piece.

The precious light is not big, only the size of a pearl.

It turns out that this chess set is really from the Tang Dynasty.

"Since the yellow light represents the Tang Dynasty, and Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi graduated from the same school and were lifelong friends, it is normal for Yuan Zhen to give Bai Juyi a pair of white porcelain chess sets.

"It seems that this chess set undoubtedly belongs to Yuan Zhen of the Tang Dynasty.

"White porcelain from the Tang Dynasty is a good thing."

Tang porcelain is mainly celadon and white porcelain.

The now famous blue and white porcelain was not famous at the time.

White porcelain is also called white glazed porcelain. It is as white as jade and has a color better than snow.

In Shen Yu's opinion, this white porcelain chess set is not a fine product. It has neither the appearance of ice and jade nor the feeling of plain flesh and bones. It can be regarded as ordinary, and the pearl-sized treasure is in line with its value.

"I really didn't expect that such an inconspicuous white porcelain chess set belonged to Yuan Zhen.

"Grandpa loves to play Go, and this chess set is his favorite thing. Many famous paintings and porcelain were sold back then, but this thing has always been kept in his collection. It really has a lot of history."

Mr. Yuan Zhen, Shen Yu studied for a while when he was in school.

Unlike Li Bai, Du Fu, Li He and other great poets who have little talent, although this poet also has a stubborn temper, he can be said to be a real winner in life.

He was born in the literary genus at the age of nine. He was talented and famous at a young age, and had a good relationship and career. Although his official career was bumpy, he still managed to become a very popular prime minister.

As a poor boy from a declining family, he even married Wei Cong, the youngest daughter of Jing Zhaoyin, Prince Shaobao, and Wei Xiaqing, a great bibliophile at that time.

The main reason is that Wei Cong, the daughter of a wealthy family, is willing to live a hard life with him, and you won’t be convinced!

The eternal mourning quatrain "Li Si" was written by Yuan Zhen to Wei Cong.

Once upon a time, there was no water in the sea, but it was nothing except Wushan.

Take a lazy look back at Huacong, half destined to practice Taoism and half destined to be a king.

A person who can write this kind of poetry can only be described as soaring into the sky with talent.

Later, Yuan Zhen wrote the story of his first love Cui Yingying into the legendary "Yingying Biography".

Later generations couldn't stand this imperfect ending, so Wang Shifu, a famous mixed-race writer, wrote the timeless classic drama "The Romance of the West Chamber".

It is worth mentioning that the protagonist "Zhang Sheng" in "The Romance of the West Chamber" is actually Yuan Zhen himself.

In the book, Yuan Zhen and Cui Yingying, despite going through many hardships, finally get married and come together. It is a full happy ending, and it also resolves the unhappiness of many readers.

Modern people have mixed opinions about Yuan Zhen. For example, many of Shen Yu's male classmates in college were extremely envious of Yuan Zhen. Not only was he amazingly talented, he was favored by many beauties, and he was a true idol!

There are also girls on the Internet who say that they don’t seek love in life or death, but only hope to meet each other in fate. If someone can write me a song "Missing" in a few decades, then I will be willing to endure hardships with him in this life.

There are also some people who are so angry that their teeth are itching, and their evaluation of Yuan Zhen is that he is a scumbag who always abandons himself, and his deep feelings are all based on his poems.

Shen Yu admired Mr. Yuan Zhen very much, and he was definitely not a mortal who could write "Lisi".

"This chess set is something that Grandpa cherishes. No matter how much money he spends, he can't sell it. Let's keep it as a thought in the future."

Holding the white porcelain chess set, Shen Yu came to a wardrobe on the north wall of the room.

Gently open the cabinet door, revealing a large custom-made safe.

The safe is about two meters high, one and a half meters wide, and one meter deep, just like a double-door refrigerator.

After the fingerprint passed, Shen Yu entered another line of password, and with a click, the safe door opened.

There are not many valuable things in this safe, most of them are relics that were used by Shen Zhonglou during his lifetime.

For example, he has played with antique bracelets, walnuts, gourds, and handwritten calligraphy and paintings.

Of course, there are also a few of the most precious identification seals.

These seals are priceless treasures in the eyes of many people, because after the calligraphy and paintings are appraised, Chongzhonglou will put different seals on them according to the different paintings.

Once a painting has a half-sheet stamp of appreciation, the price of the calligraphy and painting will often double.

After ordinary Qing Dynasty calligraphy and paintings are authenticated, most of them are stamped with Zhu's "Heavy Building Seal".

When you come across authentic works by famous artists from the Ming Dynasty, such as Wang Mengduan, Dai Jin, Shen Zhou, Tang Yin, Zhou Chen, Qiu Ying, Dong Qichang, Chen Hongshou and other painting masters, they will be stamped with a leisure seal of "Qingyun Disciple".

If you come across Song paintings and possibly unknown paintings by famous artists from the Song and Yuan Dynasties, you will get a white seal with "Shen's Chonglou Jingjian".

If an ancient painting has a Zhu Wenjian seal from Zhongzhonglou or a leisure seal from "Qingyun Disciple", its value will be doubled.

If an unknown ancient painting has the Zhuwen seal of "Shen's Chonglou Jingjian", its value will immediately increase a thousand or even ten thousand times.

Zhonglou once identified an unknown fish and dragon painting as an authentic work by Chen Rong of the Song Dynasty. After it was stamped with the seal of "Shen Chonglou Jingjian", the painting that the collector bought for 6,000 yuan was put up for auction and the price started at 2 million. , 13 million transactions.

It’s because “Shen Banzhang” is so famous.

Generally speaking, after a hundred years, a person's seal will be taken into the tomb, but Zhongzhonglou had already told Shen Yu that he would only take the "Qingyun Disciple" leisure seal with him after a hundred years.

Do not take the two collection seals into the tomb. If Shen Yu is desperate or impoverished, he can use these two collection seals to stamp an unknown ancient painting for emergencies.

To put it bluntly, it implies that Shen Yu can put his seal on an unknown painting and then sell it at a high price as an authentic work by a famous artist.

Shen Yu knew that this was because his grandfather was afraid that he would be left helpless after his death, and even his reputation was ignored.

The reason why I brought the "Qingyun Disciple" chapter to the tomb was because I was afraid of ruining the reputation of my master, Qingyunzi.

However, Shen Yu personally rubbed off the seals on the two seals as soon as his grandfather passed away.

From then on, there were no more seals in the world with the inscription "Chonglou Seal" in Zhu and the seal "Shen's Chonglou Jingjian" in white. The two fragments were left behind just so that I could take them out and look at them when I miss my grandfather.

After carefully placing the white porcelain chess set into the soft compartment of the safe, a scroll painting next to it caught Shen Yu's attention.

"Strange, isn't this painting the fake Lan Ying I gave to my grandfather when he turned 100? I don't even remember where I put this painting, but it's actually in my grandfather's safe."

Shen Yu took the scroll out of the safe, then arranged the chessboard pieces, pen, ink, paper and inkstone on Huali's desk before untying the ribbon and slowly opening the scroll.

This is a color painting on silk, about one and a half meters in length and half a meter in width.

The painting depicts the quiet and leisurely life of the literati living in the mountains.

The whole painting is mainly composed of three parts: giant pine, mountain wall and house.

Nearby are three giant pines towering into the clouds, drawn in heavy ink, medium ink, and light ink respectively.

There are several houses in the middle, where two scribes sit and talk to each other, and one is resting.

Below the house is a winding mountain waterfall that slowly flows down. It seems that you can feel the tinkling sound of the mountain spring water in the painting.

The whole painting not only has beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers, but also presents a leisurely, elegant, unrestrained and comfortable literati artistic conception.

This painting is called "Xige Qingyan Tu". It is an eye-catching "souvenir" from Shen Yu's antique career and is the work of Lan Ying.

Lan Ying, courtesy name Tian Shu, was a master of both calligraphy and painting. His paintings had a great influence on painters in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.

Chen Hongshou, the first painter in the late Ming Dynasty, was his disciple. Because Qiantang was also called Wulin, it was called the "Wulin School".

Lan Ying is the founder of the "Wulin School of Painting".

This painting was bought by Shen Yu at a Baobo Zhai on Qingniuguan Antique Street in Dongjiang when he was sixteen.

I am going to make my grandfather happy on his 90th birthday (100th birthday).

Qingyan literally means elegant conversation, but in fact it is when ancient literati gathered together to drink tea, chat, enjoy flowers, drink, play chess and watch the scenery.

Who would have known that Zhonglou just took one look at it and laughed loudly and said two words, "Fake!"

Because Zhongzhonglou has seen the original work before, this painting is a good copy. Unfortunately, it was done in a hurry. There are more than a dozen seals on the original work, but this painting only has a few stamped at random.

The most important thing is that the original "Xige Qingyan Picture" is in the Palace Museum in Tb City, Baodao Province.

It was after this time that Shen Yu became interested in calligraphy and painting. After Shen Yu graduated from university, Zhonglou evaluated his precious grandson again. In terms of calligraphy and painting appraisal skills alone, he already had five successes.

I silently recited the treasure appraisal, but no treasure light appeared on the painting.

But just one second later, something surprising happened to Shen Yu.

A ball of light blue light as big as a broad bean emerged from the ground pole in this painting.

"What? There are other antiques hidden in this painting pole?"

***The author has something to say***
