...The Mahaparinirvana Sutra is a famous classic among the five major parts of the Pali Tripitaka, the foundation of Theravada Buddhism!
Of course, the Mahaparinirvana Sutra is not the point. The point is that this sutra is actually the ‘Golden Bay-leaf Sutra’!
"Baye Sutra" originated in ancient India. When Buddhism was born more than 2,000 years ago, papermaking had not yet been invented. Ancient Indians collected leaves from the Bedolu tree and used them to write Buddhist scriptures. In the first century AD, monks from the Western Regions came to Luo-
Yang built the White Horse Temple, and the scripture he brought with him was the Bay-leaf Sutra. The eminent monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty went to the west to obtain scriptures, and what he got back was also the "Ba-leaf Sutra". The Bay-leaf Sutra is wear-resistant and light, and the handwriting can still be clearly read thousands of years later.
In India, the early manuscripts of the "Baye Sutra" have almost been lost, and there are very few "Baye Sutra" circulated in China. They only exist in Xi'an Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Mount Emei, Mount Putuo, and the National Museum of China.
A small number of editions, "Baye Sutra" has been designated as a national first-class cultural relic.
Of course, the Golden Bay Leaf Sutra in front of you cannot reach this level, and its history is only more than a hundred years old!
In the history of Myanmar Buddhism, the large-scale compilation of the fundamental classic of Theravada Buddhism, the Pali Tripitaka, began in the last century.
In 1871, King Mindong of Myanmar invited 2,400 eminent monks to hold the fifth gathering in Mandalay, the capital. The Pali Tripitaka, which was mainly based on the Vinaya, was engraved with Burmese characters on 729 square marbles. It took five years to complete and became Myanmar.
A stone scripture of.
By 1954, in order to welcome the 2500th anniversary of the death of the Buddha, Myanmar launched the sixth Tripitaka Collection, based on the Mandalay Stone Sutra and referring to various versions such as Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia and the Pali Canon Conference. Details of the Pali Tripitaka
Edited and edited. Newly published "Pali Tripitaka" in Burmese font.
During this period, Myanmar, which respected Buddhism, published a large number of scriptures on the Pali Tripitaka.
I just don’t know if the golden shell-leaf sutra in front of me comes from that big Buddhist temple in Myanmar, or from a wealthy businessman who believes in Buddhism, or from the royal family of Myanmar.
Of course, this is no longer important. What is important is that it has fallen into Liu Dong's hands.
After half an hour of checking one by one, these gold camphor wood boxes contained a total of 13 volumes of the Vinaya Collection, 42 volumes of the Sutra Collection, and 25 volumes of the Commentary Collection in the Pali Tripitaka, for a total of 80 volumes of the Golden Bay-leaf Sutra, which exactly symbolizes the
Buddha lived to be 80 years old!
Although it has only been handed down for about a hundred years, the precious material, special preservation method, and the historical and cultural value it contains make these eighty volumes of the Golden Bay Leaf Sutra a national treasure!
After putting away this priceless set of 80 volumes of the precious gold leaf sutra "The Pali Tripitaka", the fundamental classic of Theravada Buddhism, Liu Dong turned around. Except for the east wall where he came down just now, there was no iron ore placed there because of the stairs.
Outside the frame, there are iron frames almost the same length as the wall, two meters high, and four levels above and below placed on the sides of the other three walls.
The iron shelves on the south side are filled with Buddhist utensils made of gold and silver, such as alms bowls, wooden fish, treasure lids, as well as rosary beads made of jade, red and sapphires, beads, etc. There are about a hundred large and small in total.
Multiple pieces.
The wall on the west side is the longest, nearly 9 meters, and the length of the iron frame is also close to nine meters. On this iron frame are placed large and small antiques, such as Buddhist statues carved from ivory and rhino horn, with handles made of gold or ivory.
Different specifications, gleaming Burmese knives, precious Western oil paintings, and Chinese porcelain that almost every rich collector in that country will own.
Adding up all the artworks on this iron shelf, there are about more than 300 pieces. In addition to about 47 official kiln wares of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there are also 17 Western oil paintings, especially a Picasso portrait of a woman, which is extremely valuable.
Philippines. The remaining approximately 250 works of art are all national treasures of Southeast Asian countries. One of them has three male lions at the top. The top of the lion's head is inlaid with an approximately 45-carat pigeon's blood ruby, which is 1.8 meters long.
The scepter is the most precious!
The scepter has always been a symbol of imperial power. It is rare to find such a treasure in a temperature-resistant treasure house!
In Nai Wen's eyes, the value of these antiques is more precious than the wealth above, which is consistent with Liu Dong's rare opinion.
In addition, if you count the antiques here, plus the gains in the long-story secret room, and the furnishings in the temperature-resistant study, Liu Dong got about a thousand antiques on this trip, although 80% of them are Southeast Asian domestic art.
It also greatly enriched Liu Dong's collection and made him take a big step towards becoming an international collector.
In addition to these antiques that are basically hundreds of years old, there are a total of 17 pieces of top-grade jadeite materials of glass types on the top of the iron shelf on the west side, including imperial green, chicken fat yellow, purple eyes, smurf, cockscomb red, large and small.
The total weight should be about 180 kilograms, and each piece is worth a fortune, exceeding hundreds of millions of Chinese coins.
Of course, such top-quality materials are now rare after hundreds of years of jade mining, and their value can no longer be measured by money alone!
And this is the first time Liu Dong has harvested so much top-quality jade material!
Finally, there are several wooden boxes sparsely placed on the iron shelf on the north side, the same size as the boxes containing rubies and sapphires in the secret room on the first floor.
Liu Dong casually took out one from above and opened it. Sure enough, the box was full of rubies, and each piece was more than 3 carats. Although it was just a rough piece without processing, the clarity was translucent, and when placed under the light, the inside of the gemstones could be seen.
There are almost no cracks visible.
The only drawback is that the color is not quite pigeon blood red. After holding the largest ruby of about 15 carats in his hands and admiring it, Liu Dong took the box containing 79 rubies to Mustard Seed Space.
When Liu Dong picked up another box and opened it, he still found a box of 83 rough rubies weighing more than 3 carats.
Liu Dong found a total of 17 such boxes and harvested 1,637 rubies of more than three carats, most of which were between 3 and 5 carats, 353 of which were between 5 and 10 carats, and 127 of which were more than 10 carats.
There are 77 pieces over 20 carats, and the largest one is about 69 carats, a sub-transparent deep red ruby with a hint of purple.
But when Liu Dong picked up the eighth box, the pigeon blood ruby that Liu Dong had been waiting for finally appeared. Although there were only 237 pigeon blood rubies of more than 3 carats, this top-notch ruby was too great.
It's rare.
"It's so beautiful!" After opening the last box on the bottom row of iron shelves, there are three huge ruby blanks, shining a deep red under the incandescent lamp of Rumor, like solidified pigeon blood, which makes people intoxicated.
Ruby is no better than sapphire, emerald and diamond. From the beginning of its use as a gemstone, there are basically no high-grade rubies over 100 carats in the world, and even those over 20 carats are rare. Even if the country of Myanmar is heat-resistant, it is rare.
A local snake. Of the three best pigeon blood rubies in his hand, only the middle one exceeds 30 carats, and this is also the best and largest pigeon blood ruby Liu Dong has ever seen so far.
The moment he saw this red treasure, Liu Dong decided to name it Wang Qiang and give it to the other party as a wedding gift.
The two pigeon blood rubies next to them, about 25 carats, were given to Yan Qingqing and Lin Ling.
"One big one and two small ones, hehe!" Liu Dong's face showed the expectation of a male animal as he put three precious pigeon blood rubies into the mustard space.
Compared with rubies, there are relatively more boxes containing sapphires, because compared to most rubies that only have a few carats, the sapphire particles that are stored in a temperature-resistant collection are undoubtedly much larger. The number is almost the same as that of rubies, plus
It costs about 1,789 pieces together. However, it takes 18 boxes to contain 1,789 sapphires, which is almost double the number of rubies.
There are 137 sapphire roughs weighing more than 50 carats, and 19 pieces weighing more than 100 carats. The largest starlight sapphire rough, Liu Dong took it in his hand and weighed it, and estimated that it should be no less than 270 carats! Although he has not yet thought about it,
However, sapphire roughs with such large particles are rare and hard to find.
However, among the many sapphires that have been discovered in the world, there are dozens of them that are several times larger than this. However, this star sapphire is of high quality and has a pure and transparent color.
In addition to red sapphires, there are also some large colored sapphires. The so-called colored sapphires refer to all corundum gemstones except red and blue.
It is loved by everyone because of its colorful colors, but due to unsystematic reasons, its price is not as good as that of rubies and sapphires.
In addition to red sapphires and colored sapphires, there is also a box of about 239 diamonds next to it. Each diamond weighs more than three carats, but the largest one is only 43 carats.
Perhaps because of the small diamond output in Myanmar, large diamonds over 100 carats are not seen here.
In addition to gems, there are 19 boxes here to hold pearls. The ones that can be stored as essences due to temperature resistance are all real natural pearls, and the particles are all above 3cm, with a total of about 347 pearls!
In particular, a huge gold pearl with a diameter of about 8cm made Liu Dong almost recognize it as the "King of Golden Pearls". The bright golden light and round shape are enough to enchant anyone who sees it.
After collecting all the valuables in the secret room, Liu Dong conservatively estimated that the value of this windfall was more than 3 billion euros. And with the passage of time and the scarcity of precious gem resources, the value of this wealth will continue to rise.
.Of course this is a matter for the future.
With this harvest, at least Rose Jewelry will not need to worry about high-end jade materials in 20 years, nor will it need to worry about high-end rubies and sapphires in 10 years, and diamonds will finally have something to put in the spotlight.
"Only in Myanmar, the origin of jadeite and red sapphire, can we get such a rich harvest! If it were in China, besides money, I would not even think about such a large quantity of gemstones!" Liu Dongxin said.
After walking around the secret room and noticing that nothing was missing, Liu Dong glanced at the east wall under the iron staircase. There was a secret passage leading to the outside. It was obviously used to prepare for escape if things went wrong.
.
But Liu Dong was not interested in going in and taking a look.
Going up the stairs, Liu Dong did not take Wu Dongsheng away, but followed the corridor where the office was located. After reaching the end, he broke through three protective doors and entered the money counting room that is basically set up in every big casino.
Although the money counting room of the temperature-resistant underground casino does not have the astonishing amount of more than one billion Hong Kong dollars or Australian dollars every day in the famous Lisboa Casino, it is the largest underground casino in Yangon and coincides with the Myanmar Grand Prix and there are many high-rollers.
There were still large bundles of kyats and euros neatly stacked in the money counting room. Because there were so many, Liu Dong didn't bother to count them in detail, but when added together, there were nearly 100 million Chinese coins.
Subsequently, Liu Dong, under the guidance of Relic Yuanguang, swept away all the property in the entire underground casino. Perhaps because Nai Wen considered using a gun to solve the problem of Liu Dong's turmoil, not only did the entire casino stop operating, but even all
There were no service staff at all, which saved Liu Dong a lot of effort in solving hidden dangers.
After collecting bits and pieces of jewelry, antiques and loose money, Liu Dong began to take out the gasoline originally stored in the mustard space, and then took care of each room, layer by layer, and used up more than a thousand liters of gasoline.
!
In the end, in order to destroy it more completely, Liu Dong took out all the explosives collected from the Japanese arsenal, the artillery shells originally used for collection, and dozens of mortar shells!
After his arrangement, the entire underground casino almost turned into a large blasting tube.
After all this was done, Liu Dong carried Wu Dongsheng to the back seat of the car outside, then drove the car out of the gate, turned back to the entrance of the casino building, lifted up a strip extending from the building, with a heavy
Gasoline-smelling cloth!
Grabbing the cloth, a lighter appeared in Liu Dong's hand. Looking at the dimly lit building 10 meters away, Liu Dong whispered to himself: "Goodbye!"
"Crack!"
An orange flame ignited the cloth soaked in a little gasoline in his hand.
Seeing the flames slowly extending along the strips into the building, Liu Dong did not hesitate at all, turned around and ran as fast as he could, jumped into the car at the entrance of the casino, immediately started the car in the highest gear, and then stepped on the accelerator to the bottom
, and the car under his feet felt like it had been kicked by a prehistoric beast. The wheels were violently rubbing against each other with a burning smell, and it suddenly shot out like an arrow from a string.
Because the temperature-resistant casino is located on the outskirts of Yangon. Except for a road about ten meters wide that leads directly to the casino, there are farmlands on both sides of the gate. In addition, it is three or four o'clock in the morning, which is the right time for people to sleep.
There were no cars on the street at all. So Liu Dong smoothly drove the car to 200 mph! And it was still soaring rapidly.
