Liu Dong's trip to North America is absolutely tortuous and exciting!

Chapter 712 Lu Tanwei and the Western Zhou Luminous Cup

When Liu Dong carefully opened the hand scroll, which was 4.6 meters long and 45 centimeters wide, what appeared in front of him were eight figures with different temperaments and expressions, but all of them had the appearance of being thin, with slim shoulders and waist, and wide clothes and wide belts.

He is a sitting scribe, and the painting is fluent, the lines are dense and tight, and the characters are vivid. You can tell at a glance that it was written by everyone.

Surrounding this painting are numerous seals and promotions. Although Liu Dong did not count them in detail, I believe they will not be less than three hundred!

What's even more rare is that this painting is in very complete condition. Although the painting is old, there are no obvious damages or stains. It can be seen that the owners of the past generations have cherished it very much!

When Liu Dong turned his eyes to the left, nine ancient official script characters from "The Picture of the Seven Sages and Rong Qiqi in the Bamboo Forest" were clearly listed!

Rong Qiqi was a native of the Spring and Autumn Period. His thoughts were similar to those of the "Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove" headed by Ji Kang, such as Ruan Ji, Shan Tao, Wang Rong, Xiang Xiu, Liu Ling, Ruan Xian, etc., so they were also praised together.

According to archaeological research on the tomb-mounted brick painting "Seven Sages and Rong Qiqi in the Bamboo Grove" discovered in Jiangsu, Nanjing and Danyang areas, the powder copy of this brick painting probably came from Lu Tanwei!

Lu Tanwei was a painter during the Liu and Song Dynasties in the Southern Dynasty. In the history of Chinese painting, he was the founder of formal calligraphy in painting. He applied the cursive style of Zhang Zhi of the Eastern Han Dynasty to painting. Unfortunately, it is difficult to see his paintings anymore. Tang Zhang Yanyuan

There are more than 70 paintings by him in "Records of Famous Paintings of the Past Dynasties", with a wide range of themes, ranging from paintings of sages, Buddhist statues and figures to birds and beasts. They are all exquisite. Together with Gu Kaizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, he is also known as "Gu Lu"; even Xie He

He was also highly praised in his "Ancient Paintings".

He is one of the earliest outstanding painters in Suzhou, Jiangnan. Together with Gu Kaizhi, Cao Buxing and Zhang Sengyao, he is known as the "Four Masters of the Six Dynasties". The value of any of his authentic paintings is no less than that of Zhang Sengyao in Liu Dong's hands.

"The True Shape Diagram of the Five Elements and Twenty-Eight Constellations"!

Of course, whether it is the appraisal of the relic Yuanguang or the successive promotions on the painting "Seven Sages and Rong Qiqi in the Bamboo Forest", it all shows that this painting is the authentic work handed down by Lu Tanwei!

Even with the help of the relic Yuanguang, Liu Dong deeply felt how lucky he was to be able to obtain this national treasure among national treasures!

No matter how rich Liu Dong's calligraphy and painting collection becomes in the future, there will probably be very few paintings that surpass Lu Tanwei's "Seven Sages in the Bamboo Forest and Rong Qiqi", Zhang Sengyao's "Five Elements and Twenty-eight Constellations True Shape", and Wang Xizhi's "Han Qie Tie" of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

》Calligraphy hand scrolls exist!

However, although the second ancient painting Liu Dong found this time is not as valuable as Lu Tanwei's "Seven Sages in the Bamboo Forest and Rong Qiqi", it is still priceless in real terms.

Zhang Xuan, a painter of the Tang Dynasty, served as a court painter during the Kaiyuan period. He was famous for his painting of noble ladies, palaces, and horses. In the history of painting, he is often mentioned together with another lady painter Zhou Fangxiang who followed him later.

There are dozens of Zhang Xuan's works recorded in the Tang and Song Dynasty painting history records, many of which were copied by many painters. However, none of the original works by Zhang Xuan himself have survived. Two important works have been left in history.

The copies are said to be copied by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty.

However, the former is hidden in the Liao-Ning Museum, and the latter is hidden in the Metropolitan Museum of America. They are rarely seen!

The ancient painting now in Liu Dong's hands, 1.8 meters long and 40 centimeters wide, is Zhang Xuan's authentic "The Ming Emperor Enjoying the Coolness"!

The figure in imperial attire in the picture is naturally the famous Tang Ming Emperor Li Longji!

After putting away the two famous paintings, either of which could be used as a museum treasure, Liu Dong looked at the last box!

The box is not big, no more than 20 centimeters in length, and about 15 centimeters in width and height. There is a silver lock on the box, but this cannot stop Liu Dong.

When he opened the box, there was a thick yellow silk cushion inside.

But after removing the yellow silk cloth, it is a crystal clear white jade cup.

The jade cup is made of fine mutton-fat white jade. The upper part of the decoration is engraved with the banana leaf Taotie pattern, and the mouth, waist and tail are engraved with Kui patterns. However, the jade cup is not three-legged, but stands on a graceful flying phoenix.

The two are combined together to form the Feng Zun, a common drinking vessel during the Yin, Shang and Western Zhou dynasties.

The only difference from the Bronze Phoenix Zun is that it is not made of simple bronze, but mutton-fat white jade.

In addition, there are micro-carved seal characters engraved on the inside of this white jade phoenix statue. There are not many characters, about 100, but it describes a fairly famous historical story, at least everyone in the jade carving industry knows it.

According to the record of "Fenglinzhou" in Dongfang Shuo's "Records of Ten Continents in the Sea": "During the reign of King Mu of Zhou Dynasty, Xihu presented Kunwu with a jade knife and a cup full of luminous light. The knife was one foot long, and the cup held three liters. The knife cut jade like cutting mud.

, the cup is the essence of white jade, shining brightly at night.”

This is almost the earliest introduction of luminous cups in Chinese history.

The inscription on this white jade phoenix also narrates this story, but there is also a part at the end that says: After King Zhou Mu got the luminous cup, he loved it so much that he ordered that he be buried with this luminous cup after his death!

It's just not clear how this white jade luminous cup finally got out of the tomb of the longest-reigning and most legendary emperor in the history of the Western Zhou Dynasty and appeared in the mezzanine of the wall of this courtyard. Liu Dong still doesn't know. But it can't be escaped.

The word 'tomb robbing' comes out!

"It would be great if I could find the Kunwu Sword!" Liu Dong thought to himself.

During this period of time, Liu Dong was learning carving from Master Bi, and Liu Dong had already understood that if he wanted to reach the master level in jade carving, he would have little hope of relying solely on "weights", because any size of "weights" would not be as good as using a knife.

Carved with great detail.

Therefore, among the jade carvers of the past dynasties, the only master of jade carving who has been recorded and recognized by later generations is Lu Zigang of the Ming Dynasty. Of course, what is associated with the legend of Lu Zigang is the Kunwu jade-cutting knife in his hand, which cut jade as well as clay.

However, since Lu Zigang's death, no one has obtained the Kunwu Sword, so there has never been a jade carving master. However, Master Jianbao studied ancient books carefully, traveled all over the world, looking for meteorite elites, and created the 'Jade Tiger' and '

Shuang Jiao's two carved knives, thus advancing to the master level.

Although Liu Dong, who now has the 'Frost Jiao' in hand, doesn't know whether the knife in his hand is as good as the Kunwu knife that can cut jade like mud, but since the cheap master can use it to advance to the master level, Liu Dong can naturally do the same.

Putting aside his obsession with the Kunwu Sword, Liu Dong admired the 'white jade luminous cup' that King Zhou Mu once loved and put it away.

Time did not allow him to appreciate it slowly any longer.

After Liu Dong searched all the 408 courtyard houses in the six alleys purchased by K. Wah Hotel Group, only one twentieth of the courtyards with hidden treasures could be found, or even less. But despite this, Liu Dong still

Very satisfied.

Although most of the items collected from the 19 courtyard houses are gold, silver and jewelry, there are very few antiques, calligraphy and paintings.

However, after this trip, Liu Dong still collected about 129 antiques. Apart from Lu Tanwei's "Seven Sages and Rong Qiqi in the Bamboo Forest", Zhang Xuan's "The Emperor of the Ming Dynasty Enjoying Coolness" and the Western Zhou Dynasty Luminous Cup, which were discovered together, the most precious ones are

One of the items is the 'Ming Dynasty Hongwu official kiln's large platter with flowers and flowers wrapped in a rhombus'!

In addition to these antiques, Liu Dong collected about 8,000 taels of gold. Together with the remaining silver and various jewelry, its value is at least hundreds of millions of dollars!

Liu Dong, who had gained a lot, raided almost all the empty courtyard houses.

"It seems that during this period, we need to collect more money and buy everything we can in Nanluogu Alley!" Liu Dong thought to himself as he looked at the old house immersed in lights.

He is not the only smart person in the world. There is also more than one person who realizes the future of courtyards. Therefore, the courtyards that were almost ignored in the past are now attracting more and more investors, such as Liu Dong. Along the way, he has seen

We visited many street-side bars and restaurants that were being renovated.

Although the number is small, it is still a fact that this courtyard is being gradually developed.

Therefore, whether it was for the treasures buried underground in these courtyards or to reduce the number of competitors for his own courtyard hotel in the future, Liu Dong had enough reasons to buy these courtyards that had not attracted more people's attention.

Otherwise, if you want to buy it again in the future, you may really have no chance!

Thinking of this, Liu Dong changed direction and returned to the office space of the Beijing branch of K. Wah Hotel Group instead of going home. Before leaving for the United States, Liu Dong also asked Shao Tiejun to put forward his plan to purchase a courtyard house.

Keep going. Even if it’s a loan, it doesn’t matter. Liu Dong has enough mortgage anyway, and the future of this investment is bright enough!

Because he didn't stay in the capital for long this time, Liu Dong didn't contact Zhou Bin, but came to Mr. Qi the next day.

After Liu Dong's acupuncture treatment, the old man's high blood pressure and coronary heart disease have been greatly relieved, and he can now move freely with crutches.

"Mr. Qi, as long as I treat you for half a year, your body will be completely restored to health, and you will be able to walk normally!" Liu Dongqi wiped the sweat from his head after taking out 32 silver needles.

After nodding, Mr. Qi Gong looked lovingly at Liu Dong, who looked slightly tired, and said with gratitude: "Sit down and rest for a while. You have worked hard for me, an old man who is half dead!"

"

"Haha, I'm young and full of energy, so it's okay! Besides, you are the pinnacle of our calligraphy and painting world. If you can live a long and healthy life, it will be a blessing to the entire industry!" Liu Dong said.

"Okay, don't put a high hat on me, an old man! Let's go. I have reframed Zhang Sengyao's "Five Elements and Twenty-Eight Stars" and Tang Yin's "Spring Mountains Along the Road" you left behind. I will take you

Go check it out!”

Upon hearing this, Liu Dong quickly helped the old man up.

Of course, Mr. Qi Gong’s framing skills were not mentioned. Once the two paintings were framed, they immediately glowed with their most gorgeous style. (To be continued)
