Chapter 1000: A different world

"I just didn't expect that this tomb is really special. No wonder the Kangju royal family wanted to use this place as a family cemetery!" With this thought, Liu Dong's heart moved.

After the thick stone door disappeared like a bubble in a dream, the strong light suddenly pierced the darkness, and the dazzling sunlight shone obliquely into the cave. It was so exciting that the lion's head and tiger's head, as well as the little gold, were not used to such brightness for a while.

Suddenly barking and screaming!

Liu Dong opened his eyes after getting used to it for a while, comforted the pets around him, and then jumped out of the stone gate.

The distance of three meters is not too far for the lion head and tiger head. They jumped out just as quickly after Liu Dong jumped over.

"Chirp chirp...!"

It was not easy to see the blue sky and white clouds. As a golden eagle flying in the nine heavens, Xiao Jinzi, who had been suffocated in the dark and silent tomb for a long time, had already shot up to the sky like an arrow from the mysterious world after coming out of the cave!

Liu Dong also knew that it was suffocated, so he let it fly in the sky without paying much attention! In a blink of an eye, he looked at the surrounding environment.

The place where he stood at the moment was a square bluestone Pucheng square with a diameter of half a meter.

Because there has been no human presence for a long time, this square of about 300 square meters is covered with dead branches and leaves, and some unknown small insects crawled among them. It feels so uncomfortable!

However, the Kangju people built this square with great care. Although a long time has passed, there are not many weeds in the rock gaps in the center of the square. The thick rocks firmly block the surrounding pine and cypress shrubs from 300 square meters, making it

They can't go beyond that.

Directly opposite the cave where Liu Dong came out, a stone road about 8 meters wide and still paved with rocks passes through the surrounding thick dense forest and leads deep into the cave.

Seeing this stone road, Liu Dong didn't hesitate and walked up with the lion head and tiger head.

Although most of the stone road has been blocked by branches on both sides, leaving only a little more than one meter in the middle that can be passed freely, Liu Dong can still see the grand scene when this wide stone road was built.

It took tens of thousands of manpower to build this stone road, which is not surprising in modern times.

Moreover, around this stone road, every 10 meters or so, there is a two-meter-high stone statue erected. The lines of the stone statue are simple and not as exquisite as the stone soldiers Liu Dong saw in the tomb chamber.

Moreover, the movements of the stone statues are all consistent, with both hands raised to hold up the stone basin above their heads!

Although the stone basin was filled with a mixture of rainwater and dead leaves and was extremely dirty, Liu Dong was able to detect that these stone statues were placed here for lighting after they were built!

After walking for hundreds of meters along the slightly curved stone road, Liu Dong's eyes suddenly became empty. Without the tall trees blocking his sight, an extremely vast valley appeared in front of Liu Dong!

The valley is surrounded by steep cliffs. At a glance, at least half of the surrounding peaks are above the snow line. Even the cliffs surrounding this deep valley are covered with snow that has lasted for thousands of years.

Only this deep valley, which sinks nearly 1,500 meters, is full of green. Here, the magic of nature's creation is undoubtedly revealed.

It's just that this beautiful and pleasant Jedi Valley did not become the paradise described by Tao Yuanming, but was turned into the cemetery of the Kangju royal family!

Liu Dong continued to move forward along the stone path at his feet. There were no large animals on the soft green grass around him. Except for a few wild rabbits and pheasants that were chased by Xiao Jinzi, he did not see any animals such as goats and bison.

.

However, there are quite a few monkeys in the surrounding woods, which are somewhat similar to the valley under the Baizhangya where Liu Dong's first pet Wukong became king.

After Liu Dong climbed up a gentle slope along the stone path, he looked around and saw the scenery of the whole valley. But what attracted him first was the stone path at his feet, which was connected to the Turkish Mausoros, one of the world's top ten cultural heritage sites.

A form of burial similar to the tomb temple!

The difference is that the bottom of the tombs of the Kangju royal family, the Roman columns in the middle, and the eaves at the top have all been replaced with round shapes!

And in terms of grandeur, the largest tomb of King Kangju here is not as grand as the Mausolos Tomb Temple!

In addition to being only 12 meters in height, it is only one-third of the Mausolos Tomb Temple, and its diameter is only 25 meters, which is also only one-third of the latter!

And this scale is already the largest among the total fifty-eight tombs of King Kangju. Many tombs are only one-eighth of the Mausolos Tomb Temple, and the height is less than 4 meters!

The workmanship is not refined enough, giving people a hasty feel!

Obviously, there won't be very good burial objects in such a tomb. Of course, it's not absolute, but Liu Dong is still more willing to explore the largest tomb first!

Follow the stone path to the tomb, and after climbing up a ten-step staircase, as expected, there are two more bluestone lion statues outside the door.

And the door is also firmly sealed by huge rocks!

These stones, each of which weighs less than a ton, may be a headache for others, but for Liu Dong, it is just a thought!

After the darkness that lasted for thousands of years was broken, a hall with a diameter of about 18 meters and a height of about 5 meters appeared in front of Liu Dong. In the middle of the hall and slightly behind was a high platform about 40 centimeters high. Behind the high platform was a bright golden light.

golden screen!

The golden screen is 3 meters long and 2.5 meters high, and is supported by four thick lion paws!

In front of the golden screen is a two-meter-long golden table. On the table are things similar to pens, inks, paper and inkstones. Behind the table is a similarly golden bed!

At the head of the high platform is a table about one meter long, with low stools also placed behind it. In the entire hall, there are a total of 24 long tables and low stools arranged like this!

In addition to the tables and stools, there are also 8 lanterns placed in the surrounding corners. However, they are different from what Liu Dong saw before in the Thousand Coffins Hall. These maids are similar to the Changxin palace lanterns of the Han Dynasty in China. Of course, they are dressed up.

With a strong Hu Feng flavor!

In addition, the murals on the surrounding walls are also particularly exquisite. Most of them show the scene of King Kangju wearing a crown and gorgeous clothes accepting worship from his ministers. The three golden lions embossed on the top are also majestic as Kangju's totem!

Judging from the surrounding furnishings and the content of the murals on the walls, we can guess that this hall was probably rebuilt by King Kangju based on the main hall where he held meetings!

What makes Liu Dong feel a little pity is that even though everything here is shining with golden light, there is nothing that is pure gold at all.

Whether it is the original gold screen or the gold table next to it, the surface is gilded, and most of the inside is copper!

But this is only normal. These tables and chairs are all made of gold, at least more than 200 tons. Even if Central Asia is prolific in gold, in ancient times when productivity was scarce, there would not be so much in the hands of King Kang Ju!

Of course, even if they are not all gold, these tables and chairs, plus the surrounding furnishings and murals, are rare art treasures with extremely high value, so Liu Dong is not ready to let them go.

After bypassing the golden screen, an upward staircase unexpectedly appeared in front of Liu Dong. At the end of the staircase was a white marble stone door with a relief lion pattern. The stone door was heavy, but it was not blocked from behind, so Liu Dong entered

It’s not that difficult!

The second floor was a slightly smaller space than the first floor. Here, Liu Dong finally saw the coffin in the main tomb that he was looking for.

In this two-story main tomb with an area of about 200 square meters, the most eye-catching thing is the five coffins placed in the middle!

Among them, four bronze coffins are lined up, each held up by two bronze deer, 50 centimeters above the ground! The golden coffin guarded by four bronze coffins in the center is nearly three meters long, which is not only longer than the four surrounding bronze coffins.

One size larger, and it’s still held up by two golden lions!

Although the coffin and the lion are both gilded and not made of solid gold, there is no doubt that this is the main coffin Liu Dong wants to find!

The four bronze coffins next to it must belong to the concubines buried with them!

In addition to the five coffins that first caught Liu Dong's attention, there are also boxes of various sizes stacked in the open space of the tomb, as well as various gold and jade objects, as well as various exquisite burial objects!

Because before he came in, Liu Dong had already used relics to reinforce the fragile objects. Therefore, except for those precious cultural relics from thousands of years ago that had long since decayed into ashes and were irretrievable, most of them have survived, especially the wooden boxes.

There are many kinds of gorgeous fabrics such as Shu brocade, silk and silk from the Han Dynasty, and the various costumes worn by the Kangju royal family every day also give future generations the opportunity to understand the culture of this great Central Asian country 1,600 years ago!

After spending more than half an hour carefully packing away the funerary objects in the tomb, Liu Dong aimed at the main coffin in the center of the tomb.

After walking around in a circle, Liu Dong discovered that the four corners of the main coffin, which was three meters long, one and a half meters wide, and 80 centimeters high, with various mythological decorations embossed on the surface, had been poured with hot copper juice and firmly sealed.

The coffin lid and coffin are connected together.

Unless you use a saw blade to cut off the four two-finger-thick copper pillars, there is no way to open the copper coffin. Of course, Liu Dong didn't need to go to such trouble. He used the relic Yuanguang and was just a little careful, and he easily opened the copper coffin.

The lid of the coffin!

After opening the coffin lid, what appeared in front of him was not a corpse that had rotted into bones, but a coffin full of gold and jewelry! Various small gold utensils, inlaid with rubies and sapphires, were full of the Hu Feng of the Western Regions and carried with them the culture of the Central Plains.

A completely different style, extraordinarily exquisite and eye-catching!

After Liu Dong packed up these gold jewelry, the burial items that were originally flush with the coffin rim were still missing by 20 centimeters. In terms of pure value, although these gold jewelry from more than a thousand years ago are nothing that can be called national treasures, each of them is

They are all in the hundreds of thousands, and if added together they are no less than 100 million US dollars!

However, in comparison, Liu Dong still values these underground jewelry items more. (To be continued)
