Chapter 856 Lanting Collection Preface

"Thank you Master!"

Taking the thin booklet thrown by Huangpu Wudi, Qin Dongyuan felt the kindness of the other party for the first time in so many years, and was a little moved in his heart. He bowed and saluted Huangpu Wudi...

"I taught you kung fu, but I never said I would accept you as my disciple..."

Huangpu Wudi did not appreciate it and said: "The Qin family has done wrong things before. I hope that starting from you, you can truly play the role of guardian of the royal family. As for how to do it, you can arrange it..."

If you want to rebuild the royal city, it is not enough to rely on Huangpu Wudi's people. Therefore, under Qin Feng's reminder, Huangpu Wudi's attitude towards the Qin family also began to change. Otherwise, according to his temperament, it would be impossible to

The core skills were passed down to Qin Dongyuan.

"I know how to do it!"

Qin Dongyuan nodded, turned around and saluted Qin Feng, and said: "My lord, I will go back to Qin City first. I will rush back in ten days and go out with you then..."

Qin Dongyuan and Qin Feng have known each other for a long time. They always call him by his first name and call him "Master". This is the first time, which shows that Qin Dongyuan truly recognizes Qin Feng's identity.

"Elder Dongyuan, you should call me Qin Feng..."

Hearing Qin Dongyuan's name, Qin Feng felt uncomfortable all over his body, and immediately said: "Except for Elder Huangpu and the others, all future Huajin warriors can call me by my name..."

The reason why Qin Feng is not used to this space is that the lack of technology is only one aspect. The most important thing is the hierarchical system. Just kneeling down makes Qin Feng feel uncomfortable.

The reason why Huangpu Wudi and others are listed separately is because Qin Feng knows that these old people are too stubborn. Instead of persuading them to call him by his name, it is better to just let them call him.

"My lord, the etiquette cannot be abolished!"

Sure enough, after hearing Qin Feng's words, Huangpu Wudi became excited again. Qin Feng really didn't know how he cultivated to the peak of energy. Such a small thing could cause fluctuations in his mood.

"Elder Huangpu, I still have my parents and grandparents above me. If they are all alive, it will not be my turn to take the throne..."

Qin Feng waved his hand and interrupted Huangpu Wudi's words, and said: "So it is too early to call the Lord now. So, give me a year and wait until I find my parents first..."

"Before we find them, we will only treat you as the Lord..."

Huangpu Wudi shook his head. The royal bloodline was almost cut off. It was hard to find someone like Qin Feng. They would not let him shirk the burden on his shoulders. As for the parents Qin Feng mentioned, it was hard to find them.

What about things.

"It's up to you!"

Qin Feng shrugged his shoulders and said: "But Elder Dongyuan wants to go out with me. This title of Lord cannot be used in the outside world. You still call me by my name. Sometimes, respect is in the heart. It's not

The one hanging at the top..."

"Okay, then I will call you Qin Feng..."

Qin Dongyuan nodded. Unlike Huangpu Wudi and others, the royal family disappeared when Qin Dongyuan was underage. To be honest, Qin Dongyuan did not have much sense of belonging to the royal family.

In addition, Qin Dongyuan has been in a high position for a long time, so he just called Qin Feng Lord. Firstly, it was to thank Huangpu Wudi, and secondly, he recognized Qin Feng from the bottom of his heart, but it did not mean that he felt comfortable shouting.

"Okay, Elder Dongyuan, go and do your work!"

Qin Feng said: "I just came out of seclusion and went back to take a bath and rest. Don't let anyone disturb me..."

"Yes!" Huangpu Wudi replied respectfully, and he and Qin Dongyuan walked out of the room.

"It's so tiring!"

After the two of them went out, Qin Feng couldn't help but rub his temples. As a young man in his twenties, Qin Feng could not get used to talking about national affairs with these old guys all day long.

"You two should also go out to look for food..."

Qin Feng kicked the Green Wolf Mastiff lying on the edge of the chair. At the same time, his right shoulder shook, and he threw the Golden Falcon away. He muttered: "Grandma, it took me so long to get the preface to the Lanting Collection, and yet it's still..."

have not seen……"

I don't know if it's because his state of mind has improved after entering the peak of energy, but Qin Feng's patience has increased a lot. He has held the copybook of Wang Xizhi that has been passed down through the ages in his hand for more than ten days, but Qin Feng has never opened it once.

After driving everyone away, Qin Feng went to the mountain spring behind the house to take a bath, then changed his clothes, and then took out the "Preface to the Lanting Collection" scroll that he kept in a wooden box.

The wooden pole of this scroll was obviously renovated later, because it is made of ironwood unique to this space. Compared with the precious sandalwood, the antiseptic properties of ironwood are better.

On both ends of the wooden scroll pole, there is a jade component inlaid on each end. The jade component is warm and white in color. It seems that it has been often played with, showing a luster that has been handed down from generation to generation.

“The first post of all time!”

Before opening the "Preface to the Lanting Collection", Qin Feng was slightly excited. Although Wang Xizhi was called the Saint of Calligraphy by later generations, up to now, no authentic works of his works have survived.

Some of the works known as Wang Xizhi that people see now are all copies after the Tang Dynasty.

Of course, these Tang Dynasty copies are also rare treasures.

For example, Qin Feng once saw a version of Wang Xizhi's "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection" in the Forbidden City. It was called the "Shenlong version" because there was a small seal of the reign of Emperor Zhongzong Li Xian of the Tang Dynasty on the front of the volume. It is said to have been written by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty.

Copied by calligrapher Feng Chengsu.

Legend has it that Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty obtained the original "Lanting Preface" through almost deceptive means. He regarded it as a treasure and ordered those who were good calligraphers in the court to copy several copies and give them to princes and ministers.

Most of the "Lanting Preface" circulating in the world today are copies from that time or imitations by later generations. As for the original work, it was brought to Zhaoling by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty.

But no one expected that in the turbulent era of the late Tang Dynasty, people in this dimension would steal this calligraphy from Zhaoling. Thousands of years later, it would actually fall into Qin Feng's hands.

Qin Feng was not in a hurry to open the copybook, because when observing calligraphy and painting, he had to immerse himself in it, so that he could understand the charm of calligraphy and painting. He gently stroked the scroll with his hand, and Qin Feng silently recited the words and sentences in "Lanting Preface" in his heart.

On the third day of the third lunar month in the ninth year of the Yonghe reign of Emperor Mu of the Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi held an elegant gathering with forty-one celebrities including Xie An and Sun Chuo at the Lanting Pavilion in Shanyin, Kuaiji, at the foot of Lanzhu Mountain outside today's Shaoxing City.

The participants composed poems while they were there, expressing their feelings and transcribing them into a collection. Everyone recommended the convener of this gathering, the highly respected Wang Xizhi, to write a preface to record this gathering, which is the "Preface to the Lanting Collection".

In just three hundred and twenty words, it describes the scenery of the Orchid Pavilion and the fun of Wang Xizhi and others' gathering, and expresses the author's lament that great events do not come often and that "the shortcomings are modified and the end comes".

When Wang Xizhi was writing the copybook, his mood was alternately happy and sad, extremely happy and sad. The article also followed the changes of his emotions, from calm to agitated, and then from agitated to calm, showing the beauty of ups and downs, cadences and ups and downs. Therefore, the "Preface to the Lanting Collection" is

Become a masterpiece.

Reading the entire preface to the Lanting Collection silently, Qin Feng seemed to be taken into a place where literati gathered in ancient times, and experienced Wang Xizhi's positive worldly outlook on life and short philosophy, and the emotion that great events do not come often, and he had a lot of thoughts at the same time.

.

With that kind of emotion, Qin Feng slowly spread out the scroll on the table.

"Huh? This... this is indeed Wang Xizhi's authentic work!" Qin Feng had just opened the scroll within five centimeters when he saw a red seal with the word "Zhenguan" written on it.

Qin Feng read a document saying that Emperor Taizong Li Shimin of the Tang Dynasty personally made a "Zhenguan" jade seal specifically for the imperial collection of calligraphy and paintings.

Such emperors include the "Kaiyuan" seal of Tang Xuanzong, the "Xuanhe" seal of Song Huizong, and the "Qianlong Imperial Treasure" of the Qianlong period, all of which were specially used for calligraphy and painting.

Among the many handed down calligraphy and paintings, the "Kaiyuan" seal of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty appears the least frequently, followed by the "Xuanhe" seal of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty, both of which are considered precious.

As for Qianlong's "Treasure of Qianlong's Royal Views", it is ruined on the street. This seal has a bad reputation in the calligraphy and painting collection circle, and it is covered everywhere like dog skin plaster. Sometimes it even destroys the overall beauty of calligraphy and painting.

However, the "Zhenguan" seal of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty was only known by its name. None of the calligraphy and paintings handed down to this day bear this seal.

For this reason, many collectors and historians even doubted the existence of this seal. As a result, there was a debate in the academic community. In the absence of the actual object, no one could convince the other in the end.

Before he saw the copybook, he saw this seal. Qin Feng's heart was suddenly lifted. Just this seal could resolve the dispute in the academic world back then.

Then he pushed the scroll down, and Qin Feng's eyes suddenly froze again, because there was a big seal below, with eight seal characters written on it: "Ordered by heaven, you will live forever."

"This... this is the Jade Seal of the Kingdom!" Qin Feng was shocked again. He did not expect that the Jade Seal of the Kingdom whose whereabouts were unknown in the early Tang Dynasty actually fell into the hands of Li Shimin.

"This calligraphy must not be taken out!"

Seeing these two seals, Qin Feng immediately made up his mind. If he took out this inscription, he would probably be targeted by the country, and he might be labeled as a tomb robber.

Then I opened the scroll, and Wang Xizhi's handwriting suddenly appeared on the paper. Although it was thousands of years ago, the characters were still clear, and the brushwork, ink style, style, and charm were all amazing.

In particular, the "broken edge", "broken pen" and "thieves" on the copybook are very different from the later copies. They appear extremely natural and should have been written in one stroke without the slightest feeling of stagnation.

The handwriting on the entire calligraphy shows the successive layers, traces of strokes, and the shades of ink are very clear. The frame structure also reflects the left and right bands, and is dense and well-proportioned, making it look natural and vivid.

After completely unfolding it, Qin Feng discovered that the copybook was 24.5 centimeters long and 69.9 centimeters wide, with a layer of paste on the outside where the seal should be.

However, Wang Xizhi's "Preface to the Lanting Collection" has always been collected by his descendants. After the monk Biancai was deceived into his hands, Li Shimin got it.

Wang Xizhi's descendants would not add seals to their ancestors' handwriting, so except for Li Shimin's two seals, the entire calligraphy is very clean, unlike other calligraphy and paintings handed down from ancient times that are densely covered with seals.

Qin Feng worshiped his master as a disciple and copied the copybooks of hundreds of famous masters. His calligraphy skills were already very profound. Now that he saw this masterpiece handed down from generation to generation, he was immediately immersed in it and couldn't extricate himself.
