Chapter 117 The lonely hero

On April 12, 1937, although Reinhardt tried every means and even whimsically invited a famous Chinese doctor from Asia to nurse him back to health, he still could not save the life of a German general.

Hans von Seeckt, the German Army Commander-in-Chief, who was respectfully called the "Sphinx" (Sphinx) by the British during World War I and later became known as the father of the German Wehrmacht in World War II,

He left this country he loved deeply in the early morning of April 12, 1937.

Sickert's death also marked the end of an era.

Reinhard, who lost Sickert's strong support, reorganized the Weimar Republic into the German Third Reich in order to further concentrate power against foreign enemies, but still retained the basic bureaucracy of the original republic.

Before Sickert's death, the German Wehrmacht peacefully crossed the border between Germany and Austria and stationed throughout Austria. The leader of the new Austrian cabinet, Seth Inquart, signed the "Austria-Germany Reunification Act", and Germany and Austria were officially merged.

.

Austria became the German Eastern Province, with Seth Inquart serving as governor. The merger of Germany and Austria expanded Germany's territory by 17%, its population increased by 10%, and its military strength was greatly enhanced.

This respected general, with the efforts of his closed disciple Reinhard, finally saw a rising Germany before he passed away.

Before his death, Sickert's last words on the hospital bed were: "Fortunately, God bless Germany! Fortunately, I have a good student!"

In Austria, after Reinhardt, who was in Vienna, received the news, he immediately flew back to Berlin and personally presided over a large-scale German state funeral.

Except for Reinhardt, almost all the top officials of the entire Third Reich gathered here. Speer, the Minister of Armament Production of the Third Reich, Steve, the deputy commander-in-chief and chief of staff of the SS, and the pregnant Speer.

Roth, the Third Reich Minister of State Security who was the top person in charge of the Gestapo, Gustav, the outgoing former President of the Weimar Republic, Myers, the Petroleum Minister who was confirmed for re-election, and Moss, the newly appointed Security Minister of the Third Reich, had just been

Hans von Furmanreid, who was transferred to the post of Minister of Propaganda, also included Schacht, the Honorary Board Member of the Rhein Company, Minister of Economics of the Third Reich, who had already represented Manstein at the top level of the Wehrmacht under Sickert.

Because I'm waiting for the officer...

In German history, there has never been a general's funeral with such a standard. Almost all the powerful figures and representatives of a country participated in this large-scale German state funeral.

The streets were already crowded with crowds. Thanks to the publicity of the Social Workers newspaper, Sickert’s achievements became known to the world earlier than in history. The people believed that Germany’s growing national and military strength was absolutely inseparable from Sickert.

The merits of General Te.

Moreover, he is also the most respected teacher of Head of State Reinhard. It is he who once taught this "God's gift to Germany" who will continue to lead the German people!

After the military band played the second chapter of Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, Reinhard slowly walked to the front desk and delivered a prepared tribute praising Sickert's achievements:

General Johannes Friedrich Leopold von Sickert, an outstanding German general, was brought to Schleswig, Germany by God on April 22, 1866, and in 1937

On April 12, 2010, he was called back into his arms by God.

He is my teacher, the founder of Germany's new Wehrmacht, a hero who laid the foundation for Germany's re-emergence, and the pride of all Germans!

General Sickert is a role model for our German army commander in the new era and a perfect example of the German General Staff's principle of "less talk, more action". Under his influence, many people, including me, became enlightened.

Mr. Smith, the British Ambassador to Germany, once commented: "General Sickert's mind is much broader than his rigid military appearance, and his knowledge is much broader than his rigorous and neat appearance."

In this regard, I have to praise Mr. Smith for what he said is very accurate.

Many people know that Admiral Sickert was an outstanding officer who graduated first in the staff school. But few people know that in addition to his expertise in literature, he also won famous sports awards.

The extraordinary title of "Abt Turner" (excellent sportsman).

I have no hesitation in believing that General Sickert is fully capable of achieving greater achievements in literature or sports.

However, General Sickert finally chose to join the army. For the sake of the country he loved deeply, General Sickert put aside his literary talent, abandoned his pen and joined the army, and became an excellent officer.

This officer with extremely high literary talent showed us another talent on the battlefield.

He once served as the chief of staff of a newly formed group army and planned a devastating offensive. He advanced 100 miles in two weeks, captured 140,000 prisoners in 12 days, and recaptured the second largest fortress in Central Europe in one month.

Germishel, receives the highest military honor medal - the Medal of Valor!

General Sickert experienced the great victory of Lemberg, participated in the famous Battle of Warsaw, and planned the surprise attack on the Brest-Litovsk Fortress.

He planned and accomplished many goals that the Allies were unable to achieve, and for this he was awarded the Oak Leaf Medal (Medal of Valor with Oak Leaves).

As a former general, I can't think of anyone who was a more suitable chief of staff than General Sickert at that time.

During the 17 years from 1920 to 1937, General Sickert made great achievements in his position that cannot be overestimated. During this period of political turmoil and the country was in dire need, he created a military force that became

The mainstay of the country, it has been proven to be the best-trained and most capable army of its generation.

And now, the teacher has put this army in my hands and entrusted me with his dreams and expectations! And I will definitely live up to his trust!

Long live General Sickert!

Long live the German Third Reich!

............

Following Reinhard's lead, everyone in the square and on the streets who heard the broadcast let out a cry that echoed through the sky.

"I declare that General Sickert is promoted to the first field marshal of the Third Reich and is awarded the marshal's scepter..."

"Long live!..." In this exciting atmosphere, the emotions of the German people were also aroused to the extreme.

In addition to ordinary people, high-level German officials and some keen reporters also immediately heard a deeper meaning from Reinhardt's eulogy.

If Reinhard used the unofficial term "teacher" to address Admiral Sickert at the end of his eulogy, it was out of inner respect and love.

Then Reinhardt bypassed the president and the army headquarters and directly announced his promotion to field marshal in this public place. This can be explained by more than respect and love.

Behind this act worth pondering, there is an incredible possibility - Reinhardt has mastered, or is about to master, the power of the German President and the Army Command!

Reinhardt, who was born in the navy, naturally took over the leadership of the navy long ago. And in the emerging German Air Force, from its commander Catherine to the captains who were sent to the Soviet Union for special training, all of them were Reinhardt.

Hart's confidant.

In addition, Reinhard has been the chancellor for many years and has already spread his influence in the political circles. Not to mention that President Gustav once came to power in cooperation with him. Even among current German officials at all levels, there are more than

Ninety-nine percent of the people were members of the Socialist Workers Party and declared their allegiance to Reinhardt.

Once today's inference comes true, then the term "head of state" will really be worthy of its title.

Germany, after losing some of its past heroes, may soon have more emerging heroes!
