Chapter 15 The Secret Police

As Zhang Chengtian expected, or to be precise, it was destined by history. The Polish 5th Army took advantage of the incoordination of the Red Army's 3rd, 4th, and 15th Army Groups' stretched front lines to block the attacks of these armies, and then stopped them in the outskirts of Warsaw.

Afterwards, the Polish 3rd and 4th Army penetrated directly into the flank of the Red Army's 16th Army, and the remaining Polish armies launched a full-scale counterattack, resulting in the Soviet Army's disastrous defeat in the Battle of Warsaw.

In this battle, the entire Soviet 4th Army, two divisions of the 15th Army and the 3rd Cavalry Corps were forced to withdraw into East Prussia, Germany by the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish and Latvian Armed Forces, Edward Rez-Chimigwi.

After being disarmed, the 15th and 16th Group Armies suffered basic losses. The Red Army lost about 150,000 people, 230 artillery pieces, and more than 1,000 machine guns.

Subsequently, Germany quickly returned the disarmed Soviet troops and equipment to the Soviet Union.

Germany's measures quickly won the favor of the Soviet Union. In addition, the failure of the war caused a great shock among Soviet leaders. At the Ninth Representative Conference, top Soviet leaders intensely discussed the reasons for the failure of the war and the prospects for world revolution.

Tukhachevsky criticized the performance of the Southwestern Front Army in the war, and Stalin, the political commissar of the Southwestern Front Army, directly pointed out that this failure was inseparably related to the army's poor logistics and inferior equipment.

Stalin's views coincided with Germany's intention for cooperation and development revealed when it returned its disarmed Soviet troops.

Coincidentally, the consequences of this battle promoted the leaders of the next three European powers to take office at once.

Poland, the most victorious country, and the Polish general Eduard Rez-Chimigwi who led the victory in Warsaw became famous, and accumulated capital for later serving as Marshal of Poland and implementing military dictatorship.

Stalin, who was the first to propose cooperation with Germany, was appointed by Lenin to be the person in charge of Soviet-German cooperation. Together with Zhang Chengtian, the person in charge of Germany, he negotiated the "Treaty of Raballo" regarding Soviet-German secret cooperation.

According to the treaty, the two sides resumed diplomatic relations and developed bilateral trade and economic relations under the principle of most-favored-nation treatment. Both sides gave up their demands for compensation and property. Subsequently, the two countries concluded a secret military agreement. Germany resisted the prohibitions of the Versailles Peace Treaty and asked Soviet Russia

It provides complete sets of weapons manufacturing production lines to strengthen the weapons of the Soviet Russian troops, and helps Soviet Russia build roads according to European standards to strengthen the logistics of the Soviet Russian troops. Soviet Russia opens its bases and factories to Germany, where Germany can train armored forces without interference.

Pilots and other military personnel developed weapons strictly prohibited by the Treaty of Versailles.

As the responsible person in Germany who was Sickert's student and assistant, Zhang Chengtian will be promoted to colonel and go to Moscow, Soviet Russia to establish an executive agency called the "Moscow Center". He will also plan the site for the Joint Tank School in Kazan.

Before departure, Zhang Chengtian contacted Steve, who was still serving as a company commander in the National Defense Forces. When Steve learned that Zhang Chengtian wanted his help in forming a civilian armed force that could serve as a reserve force, he resolutely submitted an application for retirement and went to Berlin to join Zhang Chengtian.

Along with Steve, 24 officers and soldiers from the original 3rd Company submitted their retirement applications. They were all the best left after being selected through many layers of the National Defense Forces. But at this moment, they all left the army without hesitation to help Zhang Chengtian form a militia force.

They did this not because they did not value the identity of the Wehrmacht. On the contrary, they all cherished the opportunity to stay in the Wehrmacht. However, they were willing to give up this hard-won opportunity to build this combat-effective reserve force for Germany. This

It is a sense of responsibility for Germany, and even more trust in Zhang Chengtian.

Feeling this trust, Zhang Chengtian deeply realized the responsibility on his shoulders. In the German nation, too many people have given their hope to themselves, and Zhang Chengtian really did not intend to let these people down. Just when Zhang Chengtian was about to leave for Berlin

In the suburbs, when meeting Steve and others, the door of Zhang Chengtian's office was knocked open by an acquaintance.

"It's you, Ross." Zhang Chengtian quickly recognized the police sergeant who had saved him from Schmidt's bodyguard.

Seeing that Zhang Chengtian recognized him, Ross didn't make any detours and directly talked about the topic of his visit. "Lieutenant Colonel Reinhardt, no, Colonel Reinhardt. Congratulations on your promotion again. You may be promoted the fastest in German history."

I'm a colonel."

Hearing the praise, Zhang Chengtian was unabashedly elated. He kept shouting secretly in his heart, "Praise me a few more words, praise me a few more words."

However, Ross did not continue to praise Zhang Chengtian as he hoped. "However, your threat is not small. According to the information I received, Chairman Schmidt last time was looking for connections to retaliate against you after he was released from prison."

Zhang Chengtian's face couldn't help but twitch twice, and he almost forgot about Schmidt's future trouble. Suddenly hearing the news, Zhang Chengtian realized his carelessness.

However, Ross was obviously not just here to inform the news. He replied before Chang Chengtian could speak: "But our police force has quickly dealt with him. Schmidt has shut up forever now."

"Disposed of it?! Aren't you afraid of something happening if you do this?" Zhang Chengtian was obviously surprised by Ross's ruthless determination. After all, Zhang Chengtian had never experienced the destruction of a life. In this matter, Ross gave Zhang Chengtian a hard time.

A lesson, sometimes if you don’t put your opponent to death, your opponent will in turn threaten you. This is true between people, and it is also true between countries!

"Our entire police force is a naval member who has participated in Operation Rainbow. In order to support you, we will never be afraid of getting into trouble. From the moment you proposed Operation Rainbow, I thought you were not an ordinary soldier. After I heard that you were planning to quell

After understanding the process of the Kapp riot, your ability to predict has made me surrender. I have always believed that the rise of Germany is inseparable from talents like you." By the end of his words, Ross had begun to express his loyalty clearly.

Upon realizing this, Zhang Chengtian suddenly remembered something, and then solemnly mentioned to Ross: "If I say, I hope you can help me form a nationwide secret police, and in the future find for me those who hinder the rise of Germany.

Moth, dig out foreign spies. Will you accept it?"

"Your will, my sword. I am willing to serve you and serve Germany."

Zhang Chengtian knew this colleague who had worked with him relatively well. At least, Zhang Chengtian had no doubt about Ross's unabashed patriotism and radicalism. After patting Ross on the shoulder, Zhang Chengtian smiled and said, "Okay, from today on you

You will become the direct person in charge of the secret organization 'Gestapo'. I can recruit reliable personnel for you from the dismantled army. I will raise the initial funds for you in the name of resettling retired soldiers, and the later stage will be provided by the operational Rheinland Company.

Remember, it must be established in secret and only report to me. All personnel must understand my achievements and praise me as much as possible."

The hint of Chang Chengtian's narcissism was interpreted by Ross as the selected members must be loyal and have a certain degree of admiration for Chang Chengtian like himself.

"That's it, you will be responsible for specific cases and report to me at any time. After I go abroad, you remember to help me keep an eye on a newly established small party called the 'German Democratic Socialist Workers Party'. Arrange us in this small party.

People, and by the way, arrange some of our people in other political parties." After initially establishing the secret police, Zhang Chengtian immediately thought of adding sand to the later arrogant Nazi party. After all, the Gestapo was Hitler's trump card in later generations.

To be wary of Hitler is not enough to show respect.

Afterwards, Zhang Chengtian wasted no time and rushed to a small warehouse in the suburbs of Berlin that he had agreed with Steve and others. There, they would screen a large number of retired personnel for a party to be formed by the reorganized German Socialist Workers Party in the future.

Guards. A paramilitary organization labeled by the government as a reserve training facility.

Zhang Chengtian, who was traveling alone, was immediately targeted by several assassins with malicious intentions after leaving the office building. On his way to the suburban warehouse, a hired assassination team quietly gathered behind Zhang Chengtian.
