Chapter 434 Mussolini's sincerity

At first, Reinhardt wanted to give Italy and Egypt the benefits first.

Anyway, Egypt is still within the British sphere of influence, so give it to you.

In addition, Reinhard was also mentally prepared to promise not to interfere with Mussolini's dream of a "new Roman Empire".

In other words, he can not interfere with Italy's actions in the Balkans. The premise is that the Italians do not infringe on Germany's interests.

Anyway, Reinhardt also knew what Italy was capable of. Their army was simply the despair of all Italian allies.

If Mussolini wanted to show off his power in the Balkans, he would be doing nothing more than taking advantage of Greece as he did in history.

It is different from the Battle of France, where 32 Italian divisions were defeated by 5 French divisions.

In the incredible Italian-Greek war in history, the performance of the Italian Army was simply even more amazing!

In the Italian-Greek war in the original time and space, the main force on the Italian side was the 25th Main Army Group commanded by Polasca, which consisted of the 23rd and 51st Infantry Divisions, the 131st Armored Division, the Littoral Combat Brigade, and the 3rd Alpine Division.

Supported by the Mountain Division, the total strength is about 85,000, equipped with 163 tanks, more than 600 artillery pieces and 187 aircraft.

On the Greek front, there is only the 8th Infantry Division commanded by Major General Simitros. The ones responsible for backup and flank cover tasks are the West Macedonia Group (division-level troops) and the Bandus regiment-level troops. The total strength is only 30,000, and there is a lack of tanks.

, howitzers and other heavy weapons, as for the air force, they are basically just decorations.

But what was the result? It was obviously Italy that invaded Greece on a large scale, using the strong to bully the weak, and launching an attack on the Kingdom of Greece with overwhelming force.

But the fight turned into a Greek army counterattack, forcing Italy to retreat. Then the Greeks occupied a quarter of Albania that belonged to Italian territory, and besieged nearly 500,000 Italian troops!

Being beaten by a small country!

Thinking of Mussolini's future embarrassment, Reinhard felt sympathy for him.

It's so fucking embarrassing, it's like pressing the Italian's face to the ground and rubbing it!

How else could it be said that Greece was only willing to surrender to the Germans during World War II?

Surrendering to the Italians seems to be a bit embarrassing in terms of face.

What's the point of that joke? Because Greece was only willing to surrender to the Germans, and there were no soldiers of German descent in the Italian army fighting there. In the end, the Italians accidentally found a local prostitute of German descent and accepted it for them.

Surrender of the Greek Army.

The Greeks would rather admit losing to a German prostitute than admit losing to an Italian man...

Damn it! Who was responsible for this incident? Reinhard was extremely impressed.

"Fuhrer Reinhardt, are you listening to me?"

Opposite Reinhardt, Mussolini noticed something was wrong with his expression and asked in his fluent German.

"Oh? Oh! I'm listening, I'm listening, please continue talking." Realizing that he was lost in thought, Reinhard quickly put away his inner laughter, put on what he thought was the most serious look, and looked

By Mussolini.

Because Mussolini himself spoke German, he did not need an interpreter for every meeting with Reinhardt. This made few people in Italy aware of how pretentious their leader was in front of the German head of state.

An extraordinary gesture.

"Okay, I'll continue." Mussolini paused and confirmed that Reinhard was serious. At least, he showed that he was listening to him very seriously, and then continued his declaration.

"We, the Kingdom of Italy, must take 49% of the French oil fields in Algeria." Mussolini was not polite at all. He immediately focused on the large oil fields in Algeria recently developed by the French.

This was the most important step in Reinhardt's plan to win over France. If it hadn't been for the French to get oil in Algeria first, he would have developed Africa's largest oil field reserve area - Libya.

Algeria, the "pseudo-Africa's largest oil field" deliberately boasted by Reinhardt, was used to seduce Britain and make Churchill sleepless.

The British will not let the Vichy government, which is a puppet of Germany, develop a huge oil field. Because this means that Germany will be able to obtain huge amounts of oil from Vichy France and continue to supply the Third Reich's powerful war effort.

Machine operation.

The mission of the Algerian oil fields is to create an irreparable gap between Britain and France. This is part of Reinhardt's long-planned huge plan, and Italy cannot be tolerated to break it.

Even Germany does not have much involvement in the Algerian oil fields, but the Rhine consortium holds 30% of the shares, leaving most of the shares in the hands of the French to give them hope.

Why do you Italians ask for 49% of the shares?!

And judging by Mussolini’s tone, he didn’t want to take away 50% of the shares, which was enough to save Reinhardt enough face!

Co-author, Mussolini thinks that Germany is 51% and Italy is 49%. Is Italy a little more modest?

But before Reinhard could stop Mussolini, the Italian leader spoke again.

"After the Battle of France, Italy should receive 40% of its reparations to make up for Italy's losses in the war."

Reinhard just felt dizzy. If you are beaten badly and suffer huge losses, someone else, the French, will have to take responsibility, right?

Looking at the stunned Reinhardt, thinking that the other party was dissatisfied with the reparations being divided up by Italy, Mussolini made a "thoughtful" suggestion: "If the German side feels dissatisfied with the loss of some funds, it can give the French side

Increase the reparations by 40% and give the increased part to Italy."

Interesting, really interesting! Reinhard raised his lips with a smile: "What other requests does the leader have? Just ask them and I will agree to them all?"

"Very good, very good, then I'm welcome." Mussolini was delighted.

Next, Mussolini made his demands one after another without politeness:

Italy wanted some of France's African colonies, including French Tunisia.

Italy demanded that France compensate the Italian Navy for 20 warships of various types.

Italy asked Germany to give France some territory in the east.

Italy asked Germany to allow Italy to take ownership of the Suez Canal.

Italy also demands absolute dominance in the Balkans.

Of course, Mussolini believed that the Kingdom of Italy was still very sincere.

In return, Italy would guarantee German interests in the Mediterranean and Germany's dominant position in France.

At the same time, Italy will heroically help Germany and eliminate the main British force in Egypt. It will also guarantee that it will not make any more demands before completely occupying the Balkans.
