0006 Camp

At night, the weather is slightly cooler.

Li Fan had no money to buy a portable tent, let alone build a decent camp.

According to previous exchanges with Dilu, there are public hunting camps in the wild.

Of course, it is not free to use, you also have to pay, and because someone is responsible for guarding it at night, the price is several times more expensive than hotels in villages and towns.

The advantage is that it is safe and you don’t have to worry about monsters crawling into your bed at night.

Li Fan helplessly held his forehead and thought. He did not expect that the seemingly ordinary food, clothing, housing and transportation during hunting would occupy such an important position.

Thinking back to the hunting teams I met in the morning, an idea suddenly popped into my mind.

"Dilu, I want to ask you something?"

"Yes! Meow."

"Do those hunting teams that frequently go out on missions have their own exclusive camps in the wild?"

"Yes, meow, but this kind of camp is usually very small. If it is not taken care of for a long time, it will be abandoned."

Li Fan confirmed his suspicion.

Public hunting camps are maintained by a large number of full-time personnel, so the comfort and safety are naturally the highest.

From an economic perspective, it is the most reasonable choice for the hunting team to build their own temporary wild camp.

When the hunting mission is completed, either dismantle the camp and take it away, or mark it and wait for the next time you come to the surrounding area for hunting, repair it and continue to use it.

During this period of time, there will be no one moving in.

"Even if the established hunting camp is abandoned, careful consideration must have been given to the location selection, and safety must be guaranteed to a certain extent. If there are any leftover materials that can be used..."

As Li Fan muttered, Di Lu suddenly said: "I know an abandoned camp! Meow!"

"Set off!"

Hanging the backpack around Marutori's neck, Li Fan did not choose to ride.

After all, there is no riding cushion yet, so it won’t be stable when riding on it, and Marutori is still injured.

Half an hour later, one person and one cat stood in front of a giant rock.

"Just climb up the vine, nya!"

Dilu said, jumping onto the branches of the hanging vines, climbing hard with all four claws, and soon climbed onto the rock platform, and then launched an attack on the higher rock.

It's okay, Li Fan. Di Lu said that there are only a handful of people who fall to death in this world.

Secretly encouraged myself.

Li Fan retrieved his backpack, put Marutori into the elf ball, grabbed the vines with tiny spikes on the surface, and kept climbing up.

Climbing up to the high mountain rock platform more than ten meters, he looked back down.

I thought that if this height were in the wizarding world, 20 demon hunters would be killed by the fall.

Climb and crawl...climb and crawl...

When Li Fan felt almost exhausted, he finally reached the third rock platform at the top.

An abandoned camp built in a naturally formed cave appeared in front of us.

This cave is extremely shallow, only less than 10 meters deep into the mountain.

There are several large boxes covered with fine spider webs placed inside. The location for setting up the tent can only be half inside the cave and half outside.

In order to prevent rainwater invasion and provide concealment, a simple canopy was built to cover the open-air half of the tent.

In order to prevent certain materials from being exposed to rain and rotting, the snow storage area was specially placed in the cave.

Li Fan observed for a moment and quickly saw the true purpose of this strange arrangement.

Di Lu saw a sharp corner exposed in the dust, ran over and dug around, and found a wooden standing sign.

Use the cat's paw to wipe off the dirt on it, and a line of writing carved on the surface of the standing sign will appear.

"This is the station of the Phoenix Hunting Group, meow!"

Dilu informed.

"How did you find this place before?"

"Because...there are dried salted fish here."

"Where is it? I want to eat it too."

Li Fan immediately regained his energy.

"Sorry, I finished eating half a year ago, meow."

"Well, that means no one has set foot here for at least half a year."

Li Li looked at the time on his handheld device and saw that it was already past 10 p.m.

So I threw out the lightning bug light bulb and wanted to simply pack it up and rest as soon as possible.

Di Lu marked the blue mushroom collection point on the hand-drawn map, and there are still 5 places he has not visited. Tomorrow is destined to be a busy day, so he must ensure adequate sleep.

Inside the tent, a sleeping mat made of withered grass, a small bamboo pillow, a small oil lamp that ran out of oil, and several books introducing ancient dragons were piled on the ground, and there was nothing else.

I gathered a few long hairs from Marutori's body, tied them to a wooden stick with twigs and vines, and a small broom was made.

After sweeping away the dust in the tent, Li Fan walked out of the camp and observed the surrounding terrain.

When he came back, he made a simple carrying harness out of twigs and vines and put it on Marutori's back.

"Too beautiful, I have put all my belongings on you. If you are attacked by wild beasts at night, don't worry about laying eggs. Call out as soon as possible. I will rush out of the tent with Dilu to join us, and ride on your back when the time comes.

Go up, turn right after leaving the camp, and run wildly on the mountain road."

Taimei is the name given to Marutori by Li Fan.

"You only have 8 points of intelligence attribute. I don't know if you can understand such a complicated command."

After Li Fan finished chanting, he also did a drill with Di Lu.

Apart from Taimei being a little slow in reaction and timid, she finally carried out the arrangement completely.

Looking at the time on the phone, it was already 11 o'clock in the night. The tired Li Fan felt that he could finally rest peacefully.

However, less than half an hour after falling asleep, I was awakened by a bear roar that echoed through the mountains.

Li Fan sat up from his sleeping mat, took off his blindfold, and looked angry.

"Damn Green Bear, when I pick mushrooms tomorrow, I'll stab each one in the nest."

While planning how to take revenge, Li Fan vaguely heard a woman's shout.

"ah!"

"Hey!"

"ah!"

....

The shout was short and sharp, accompanied by waves of low rumbles.

As well as the green bear beast's increasingly fierce cry, Li Li quickly came up with an inference.

Someone is hunting Blue Bearmon nearby!

"Want to help, Meow?"

"Ah! When did you get up? Your equipment is all ready."

Li Fan was startled.

When he sat up, Dilu was clearly lying on the ground, sleeping like a dead pig. Unexpectedly, in the blink of an eye, he was already ready to go.

"A qualified hunting cat must be ready to fight at any time."

Dilu puffed out her chest.

"Let's take a look at the situation first. It's so beautiful, there's no one who can hit the light bulb and you. If there's really a problem, I'll have to fix it."

Ever since I experienced the tough skin and texture of Marutori.

Li Li understood why the sharpness of weapons was so important in monster hunting games.

Based on the material of a hunter's knife, even if the blade has been sharpened to the sharpest level, as long as the attack is not a weak point, it may be difficult to cause damage to the thick-skinned Green Bear.
