Act 130: White Gorge

Just as Brando was heading to the Spiral Hall, an exhausted knights were passing through the sparkling ice forest. The forest was silent in the silver-covered world, and every branch grew from the snow-white trunks.

They are all as crystal clear and fragile as glass. If touched lightly, they will completely turn into powder with a click.

The sound of heavy footsteps came from far to near, and the steps of different shades showed the owner's nervousness.

Then there was a rustling sound that followed, like insects crawling under the grass, but it was actually the gentle footsteps of some kind of four-legged beast.

"Damn these!" The young knights of the Broken Sword Knights gritted their teeth and cursed, turning around and pulling out their swords.

The next moment, a demon with white fur emerged from the darkness. It was a snow-white wolf, all white except for a pair of cold eyes shining with burnt yellow light; the wolves passed through the thorny thorn forest, roaring low.

From the bushes, from under the snowdrifts, and from all directions, the knights were attacked.

At that moment, time stood still, with the howling winter wolf on one side and the roaring knight on the other.

"Fifteen heads."

"Seven heads over here."

The winter wolf's attacking movement was frozen in the cold air, and then a narrow and bright sword edge pierced its throat, and then was retracted like lightning, and the white beast rolled and fell beside the bushes.

The knights took a step back in unison, leaving a long row of corpses quietly flowing with dirty black blood. Black smoke rose from the monster's body and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

The wolves passed over the corpses of their own kind like a rolling snow wall. They stood side by side with a low roar, their silver hair moving automatically without the wind. With the roar of these demons, the dark magic in the forest was gathering at a speed visible to the naked eye.

stand up.

The magic power formed intertwined blue curves, and then condensed into crystal prisms of ice. The ice prisms were suspended in mid-air for a moment, and the next moment they were like a storm rushing towards them.

"Martha on top!"

Accompanied by hoarse roars, one halo after another unfolded from the knights of the Broken Sword Knights. The knights wielded their long swords and shattered the ice edges. The few that passed through the gaps between the sword blades would also hit the armor.

The halo was shattered into pieces and exploded into a ball of ice mist.

Brund frowned and punched the winter wolf's open bloody mouth, almost sending it flying back with a single punch, along with splashes of blood and broken teeth. Then he turned around and struck out with a sword.

The sword struck the narrow cheek of the other winter wolf, which was waiting for an opportunity to pounce, leaving a deep wound where the bone could be seen.

The beast whimpered, turned around and fled with its bleeding wounds, disappearing into the darkness in the blink of an eye.

"Hahahaha." Alaya's rough laughter came from one side. Brenda looked in that direction and saw that his companion's mouth was full of blood, and he actually bit a wolf to death. He laughed loudly: "

If they bite me, I will bite them. What is fairness? This is fairness. So I like to fight. Here, everyone is equal regardless of their origin, Brund."

His neck was wrapped in thick gauze, he was shaking, and his face was as pale as paper. There was blood seeping out from the injured area last night. But this could not stop his violent temper and loud voice. In fact, someone stopped him from doing so.

Get up on a stretcher and join the fight.

Brenda frowned: "Where is your upbringing, Alaya."

"I only treat well-educated people. Who can educate a dog?" Alaya replied nonchalantly.

"This is not a dog, this is a wolf." Rollo corrected.

"it's the same."

Brund was too lazy to pay attention to these two guys. He shook off the blood drops on the dark steel blade and looked around. The forest was like a dark illusion, with shadows of white beasts far and near.

Farther away, the elegant stag was resting on a snow-white rock, seemingly waiting for them to move on.

Since tracking it, they have been trekking in the snow for several hours. The winter wolves have been tracking them in the forest all night. Everyone is cold and sleepy, relying solely on their will to support them.

Like the Eruin people, the Cruz people are also superstitious that the rare and elegant creatures in these forests will bring good luck. This stag did lead them all night long to find a path that they could move forward in the dark forest.

, fǎngfo is like being protected by the gods in the dark.

However, the good times did not last long. At this moment, the sky was getting brighter, and the first ray of morning light appeared in the eastern sky. Everyone could clearly see a long white wall and a glacier cliff appearing in the sky several miles away, stretching across the forest canopy.

The crystal ice surface sparkled in the morning light.

The glacier pressed heavily on Brender's chest, making his heart pound.

Is there really still a road ahead?

Freya gasped slightly, her light brown bright eyes also full of doubts.

"Two ladies, I'm afraid there's no way ahead. What should we do next?" a knight from the Knights of the Broken Sword shouted loudly.

"It doesn't matter if there is no road. The glacier cannot continue forever. Since the stag has brought us here, it means there must be some way to get around it." Little Pello replied.

This sick young man from Cruz was wrapped in a thick bearskin coat, holding a rapier in one hand and a crossbow in the other. He was not inferior to his companions in fighting. Many winter wolves had fallen at his feet, everywhere.

The wounds were all fatal in one blow.

Seeing others turning their attention to him, Little Pelo continued to answer slowly: "As long as we find the natural edges of these broken glaciers."

"Will it happen?" Freya couldn't help blurting out, and then covered her mouth. Such unconfident words really didn't seem to come from the commander's mouth.

"Yes," little Perlo only glanced at Freya and replied firmly, "if it is indeed a naturally formed glacier."

"What if not?" Alaya hurriedly took two steps to catch up from behind, just in time to hear the conversation.

The sickly young man glanced at him without answering.

Alaya opened his mouth. He was not afraid of Brund, who came from a noble family. Even in front of the eldest son of the emperor, he could neither be humble nor arrogant. But in front of little Pello, he was like a mouse that couldn't raise its head like a cat. After all,

The reason is really something that even he himself can't figure out.

But this does not mean that his big mouth can stop talking. He thought for a moment and complained: "If you ask me, we shouldn't believe a deer. I really don't know what you are thinking in your mind."

"I'm sorry, this is my decision." Freya stood up and replied.

"I'm not targeting you, Commander. I'm just a little strange. So many of us seem to be possessed by evil spirits, and no one raised any objection at the time." Alaya replied, this man from Eruin

The commander's lady is far inferior to them in strength, and her tactical skills can only be said to be average, but this does not mean that they can disrespect her.

If she hadn't been investigating the cause of death of Qingchu Ainika and the others, she wouldn't have fallen into a trap and found herself in this situation.

At least she has the consciousness and courage as a commander. This feeling is very similar to what they often feel from Veronica.

"This is the strange thing about the whole thing." After repelling a wave of attacks from the winter wolves, Brund also came over: "Alaya, we Cruz people and Eruin people listen to the stag.

Legend has it that the stags in the dark forest, like unicorns, are the embodiment of kindness and order. They once guided the Lord of Fire. They also guided Ek, and today they are here to guide us again. You were not standing at that time

I come out to oppose it because I agree with this from my heart."

"Nonsense." The rugged knight curled his lips.

"Alaya, it's understandable that you Yinir people haven't heard of the legend of the stag." Brende chuckled: "But you have to admit that there are some mysterious and unexplainable things in this world.

"

Only then did Freya notice that Alaya did seem to have part of the blood of the Iniel people. The light golden curly hair sticking to his forehead and the narrow nasal cavity were proof. He also had a strong local accent when he spoke. This knight looked like

Like people from Farnzan or further north.

But Alaya jumped up as if he had been stabbed in the foot: "Brend. What do you mean by that?"

"It's just what I said. If you were a little more confident, you wouldn't regard your birth and blood as an attack." Brund replied nonchalantly.

"Humph!" The former snorted heavily, but did not answer any more.

Freya had become accustomed to the quarrel between the two people this night, but even if they could find a reason, it would not help solve the current dilemma.

What needs to be done now is to completely contain the wolves' offensive.

"No matter what, we have to defeat them first, then bypass the glacier and continue heading north." Freya paused and said to the others: "If possible, join Brando and Ms. Veronica.

.”

"But it's too difficult to get rid of wolves in the forest." Rollo frowned and shook his head.

"How will you know if you don't try." Alea turned around and replied nonchalantly.

"You don't know wolves, Alaya, and you don't know how cunning they are."

"That's natural. I'm not a mountaineer, so how can I understand these beasts?" He spread his hands in a funny way.

The dark-skinned mountain knight stared at the former without saying a word.

"That's exactly what it is." The girl from the countryside of Butchi pulled off her cloak: "That's why we need to fight back. If we are entangled with them, we can't get rid of them. We must take the initiative to defeat them until they dare not pursue them anymore.

.”

When Little Pelo saw Freya tying her cloak to a spear, he immediately understood what the other person was thinking: "This is too risky. If you expose yourself rashly, maybe the silver monster is ambushing you."

, it’s obviously coming for you.”

Freya hesitated for a moment and said, "There is no way to think more. We are all exhausted. I don't want to be driven forward by the wolves and wait to die when I am too tired to walk."

She put up the flag in her hand: "I am the commander. Now I will direct everyone to break out. If I fall, you will take over my flag and pass the information about the monster to Brando and Veronica."

Ms. Ka."

"You are just a trainee commander."

A slightly cold voice came from behind, and then Freya felt someone holding the spear in her hand. She was slightly startled, and looked back to see Nimesis's expressionless face.

"Senior Sister Nimesis?"

"Leave the flag to me." The black-haired female knight gently took the simple battle flag from her hand: "I order you to do it."

"Senior sister..."

"Stop talking nonsense and give orders."

Freya took a deep breath. She turned back to look at the others. Little Pelo and Brund both nodded to her. Her eyes swept across the undulating forests and snowfields, and she had a plan in mind.

"The descendants of the Fire King, the knights of Cruz, take the flag as the center, and move the two wings closer to the center."

The girl's clear voice echoed through the forest, and all the knights of the Broken Sword Knights turned around in shock. A silver flag had been erected in the forest, which was clearly a cloak dancing in the morning breeze.

The cloak is also embroidered with the emblem of the white lion.

"Knights, prepare to charge forward!"
