87. Ruichang

In July 1938, Japan began to attack the vast areas outside Wuhan. The commander-in-chief of the war was General Hata Junroku. He invested 350,000 troops in the army, navy and air force, and planned to deploy an additional 400,000 troops to cooperate with the battle. More than 500 aircraft and more than 120 warships were mobilized.

The combat budget was 3.25 billion yen. According to Japanese army documents discovered after the war, even the only Guards division left in Japan was on standby to reinforce the Wuhan War. Documents from the Japanese base camp’s Ministry of War said: “The Army devoted all its strength to the Hankou battle.

There is no room for emergency response." On August 22, the Japanese base camp issued Order No. 188 and the Chief of Staff's Order No. 250 can be summarized into two points: first, "capture the area near Hankou"; second, "driving the Chiang regime out of the Central Plains."

.The Japanese Emperor's order clearly stated: "What is expected from this war is to reduce Chiang's regime to local power."

The Nationalist Government mobilized all the navy and air force, including more than 40 warships, more than 100 aircraft, and 120 army divisions with a total strength of about 1.1 million people. Chiang Kai-shek personally sat in Wuhan and took direct command. Chiang personally went to the Central Radio Station to deliver a tragic speech.

Speech: "The Chinese people and government have been bullied and oppressed by the Japanese invaders to the bitter end. For the sake of the survival of the nation, the Chinese army is determined to fight to the death with the Japanese army in the Wuhan area. Since the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, the experience of fighting has proved that our army is very capable in positional warfare.

The strength is strong, and the soldiers fight bravely and fearlessly." However, he also emphasized another goal: "Our army's battle this time will not focus on the gains and losses of one city or one area, but on automatically selecting favorable combat areas.

Achieve the goal of annihilating the enemy's vitality."

On August 12, 1938, Zhou Weiguo and others boarded an American cruise ship from Wujiang Town.

On August 14, 1938, Zhou Weiguo and others arrived in Jiujiang. At this time, Jiujiang had fallen. The Japanese army was about to continuously capture cities and counties outside Wuhan.

Near Jiujiang, the Botian detachment marched westward to Wuhan, landed at the port northeast of Ruichang (then a county) on August 8, and fought a fierce battle with the Chinese defender Zhang Fakui's 12th Army of the Second Corps on the highlands east of Ruichang.

"Master, the Japs are really crazy, they are just like beasts!" Yang Dali cursed. They arrived in Jiujiang, got off the boat, and saw that Jiujiang was devastated, houses collapsed, and people were enslaved.

Zhou Weiguo sighed and said, "Jiujiang fell last month, and what you see now is nothing. Now, our goal is to find the place where the national army fought with the Japanese, and try to trick the Japanese. Now the Japanese are

There must be a shortage of supplies. If the Japanese use up the current supplies, we don’t know when they will be able to make up for them. This is our advantage."

"Do you want to inform the Chairman?" Gu Feiyan asked, "This is very important information."

Zhou Weiguo smiled and shook his head and said, "We don't need to inform you of this information at all. Do you think Dai Yunong is a vegetarian? I think the chairman of the committee should have known this information a long time ago."

Zhou Weiguo's guess was correct.

Chongqing, Jiangzhai

"This is really great news!" Jiang Zhongzheng laughed, stroking his bald head, "Yunong, who do you think did it?"

"Students don't know." Dai Li shook his head, "After all, according to the intelligence, this large amount of supplies has disappeared. There is no trace at all at the scene."

"Haha!" Lao Jiang laughed. For some reason, Zhou Weiguo's face flashed in his mind, and then he said, "Do you think it could be that boy?"

Dai Li naturally knew that the boy Lao Jiang was talking about was Zhou Weiguo, and then said, "Probably not. First, Zhou Weiguo is in Shandong after all. The time when his independent division was established is too short, and it should not have formed a combat capability. Secondly, those batches of

The disappearance of supplies, if it is true as the Japanese say, is very likely not caused by humans."

"If it's not a human being, how can it still be a ghost?" Jiang Zhongzheng laughed and scolded, "But no matter who did it, it was a good job."

"The principal is absolutely right."

"By the way, you send a telegram to that guy and ask his independent division how it is developing now."

"Now the Japanese are fighting against us in the Battle of Wuhan. The Suqian branch of their independent division has also arrived in Shandong. The Japanese in Laiyang County have nothing to do with them. Unless the Battle of Wuhan is over and the Japanese are free," Dai Li said with a smile.

, "So this kid may not know how to jump. But since the principal has said it, I will send someone to send a telegram to ask."

Jiang Zhongzheng smiled and nodded.

August 15, 1938, Ruichang, Jiujiang, Jiangxi

Zhou Weiguo led the special operations team members through the forest.

Then, Zhou Weiguo moved his ears and made a gesture, causing everyone to stop moving forward.

"Tmall, go and see if there is any fighting in the southwest."

"yes!"

A few minutes later, Suning ran back and said, "On the high ground about 800 meters to the southwest, there is a battle between the national army and the Japanese."

"Are we here close to the National Army or the Japanese? What is the comparison in strength between the National Army and the Japanese?" Zhou Weiguo asked.

"Close to the Japs." Suning replied, "I don't know the strength of the national army, but the Japs have about 10,000 troops."

Zhou Weiguo nodded and said, "Be careful, don't get discovered." Then, with constant gestures in his hands, three teams of the special forces separated and surrounded the Japanese from three directions.

Soon, Zhou Weiguo and others were only 500 meters away from the nearest Japs. Immediately, everyone took adequate cover, and on a small slope behind the Japs, they took sniper rifles and began to look at the Japs through the scope.

The battle ahead is fierce.

The Japanese had an artillery regiment, which was launching an artillery bombardment at the national army position opposite.

Zhou Weiguo aimed at a gunner and said over the intercom, "All the first team is aiming at the gunner, the second team is aiming at the loader, and the third team is aiming at the commander of the artillery wing."

Thirty seconds later, Zhou Weiguo said to the intercom again, "Three, two, one, fight!"

Barrett's 12.7mm caliber bullets were fired at the unsuspecting Japanese. They would never have thought that the attack would come from behind.

Then, a strange situation occurred in the Japanese artillery regiment. The Japanese gunner, the loader, the major of the Japanese artillery regiment, and some of the following officers suddenly had their brains exploded and then fell to the ground. Almost at the same time.

All 26 Japanese soldiers fell.

Zhou Weiguo smiled, indicating that even the new special forces members can perform well.

"Continue. Defeat the Japanese artillery regiment." Zhou Weiguo turned on the intercom again and said. And Zhou Weiguo's voice also appeared in the ears of the special forces.

"There is a sneak attack! Hidden!" A Japanese second lieutenant shouted. Now, he was the only one with the highest rank in their artillery regiment. The scene just now was like a nightmare, so terrible. As soon as the second lieutenant finished shouting, his eyes were unwilling to give up, and he fell

On the ground.

Seeing this, the surrounding soldiers took a breath of air, and some began to shout, "Run away! There is a devil!"

If someone takes the lead, someone will follow.

Zhou Weiguo and the special forces members were still hunting the Japanese who were trying to escape. For the new members, it was still difficult to hit the moving targets.

However, it’s time to practice.

national army position

"Eh? The Japanese artillery bombardment is over?" A Chinese soldier wondered. No artillery shells had been fired for quite a while.

"It seems so." Another soldier replied, "This time, it's time for the little devil to charge forward."

As for the Japanese army's position, the Japanese soldiers, who had no idea what was going on, thought that the shelling was over, so they shouted and rushed towards the national army's position.
