1332 Mars Exploration

There was no situation in the asteroid belt for the time being, so Ye Han immediately recovered his divergent thoughts and put all his attention back to Mars.

As he saw, the joint command attaches great importance to Mars. The joint fleet has just arrived, and the transport ships accompanying them are already performing their duties. They have launched a series of landing surveys on Mars. The landing craft have landed in batches. There are everywhere on the north and south poles of Mars.

It is a creeping crawler drilling vehicle, and a large number of soil and rock samples are sent back to the battleship for the most detailed analysis by professionals.

Landing on Mars is easy, but stationing there for a long time is not that simple. Not only must the conditions of the soil and rock formations be determined, but more importantly, the direction of the underground ice veins must be determined!

The water on Mars is concentrated at the north and south poles, so the fleet prioritizes investigating the geological conditions of the two poles. Once the direction of the underground ice veins is determined, a reasonable landing point can be determined based on the ice vein conditions. The next step is to establish a permanent Mars base.

As for whether the two sides will build it alone or whether they will work together, that is not something Ye Han can worry about.

The exploration on Mars has not yet yielded results, but the project on Phobos has already begun.

Ye Han discovered that there were more than a dozen transport ships focused on Phobos, and dozens of landing craft were constantly going back and forth between the satellite and the spacecraft, transporting large amounts of supplies to Phobos.

A batch of engineering equipment has been sent to Phobos, and they are moving around on the surface of Phobos, even in the craters left behind.

Seeing this scene, Ye Han couldn't help but sigh at the wonders of the world. Back then, he never imagined that he would have such a day in the future.

Phobos was originally not big, but after being bombed by the expeditionary force, its size further shrank. The fleet quickly measured the situation of Phobos and determined a suitable building location.

So another batch of construction machinery was sent to Phobos. They attached to the surface of Phobos, cut rocks, and excavated underground spaces. They planned to build a small space base on Phobos first.

Ye Han briefly learned that this space base is not as simple as it seems. Its construction is divided into several steps. The goal of the first phase is to dig out a small amount of underground space to house the reactor and corresponding maintenance personnel, and then lay out the laser array.

Turn Phobos into a mobile fort to protect Mars.

This is a plan that has been planned for a long time. The transport ship carries sufficient supplies, and the entire project is expected to be completed in about a week.

After the first phase, the project on Phobos will be suspended indefinitely until humans gain a foothold on Mars and then use the resources on Mars for subsequent construction.

The goal of the second phase is to continue to excavate underground space and install various support equipment. The ultimate goal is to hollow out Phobos and turn it into a space base for the combined fleet, with a war fortress capable of housing an entire fleet inside.

At the end of the plan, there is also an imaginary picture of Phobos after it is completed. The completed Phobos is full of a sense of technology and violence. It does look like a war fortress, and even the fortress that has not yet been revealed.

Call it the "unsinkable Mars battleship."

Ye Han almost got cancer. A fortress is just a fortress. It has to be unsinkable. I don’t think that Phobos is only a tiny bit bigger and can be blown up with just a few nuclear bombs without leaving any debris. It is also unsinkable.

, isn’t this nonsense?

Overall, the development plan for Phobos is very good, but Mars is not the moon. It is not easy to establish a foothold here. Once the Mars base is built and the minerals on Mars are developed, sufficient industrial capabilities must be formed.

.

Mars is now in a state of poverty. I don’t know when this day will come. If aliens come over, haha, it’s hard to say whether the first phase of the project can be saved, but the second phase? Let’s just go to sleep.

Deimos also had a transformation plan. Out of curiosity, Ye Han also found the plan and took a look at it. As a result, he almost vomited blood when he turned the first page. Isn't this the same plan just now? In addition to destroying Deimos,

Become Deimos, even the punctuation marks are exactly the same!

But when I turned to the back, I finally found something different. The construction period and imagination of Deimos were different from the previous one. Although the ultimate goal is to turn the satellite into a fortress, Deimos is smaller than Deimos.

Much more, the construction difficulty was suddenly reduced by several levels. According to the plan, when conditions are met in the future, priority will be given to the construction of Deimos.

Ye Han couldn't help but laugh. This plan is really long-term, but in his opinion, the so-called fortress is a joke. If the combined fleet cannot stop the aliens, no matter how powerful these two fortresses are, they will not be able to stop the aliens.

Outside the orbit of Mars.

On the other hand, if the combined fleet blocks the aliens, these two fortresses will at most be defending Mars and will have no effect on the earth. There is no difference at all between them.

Ye Han didn't know yet that on the first day when the fleet arrived on Mars, all actions were controlled to a minimum. To put it simply, they were mainly testing.

However, the project on Deimos was not as smooth as that on Phobos, because the expeditionary force planted a large number of nuclear bombs on the two satellites, and the ones on Phobos detonated, but the ones on Deimos were still buried there. The project

The personnel must first dig out all the nuclear bombs, one by one, before they can work on the little guy with peace of mind.

Starting from the next day, July 18, the fleet launched a large-scale exploration operation. Within one day, more than 400 units of various construction machinery and more than 2,000 engineering personnel were invested, half of which were land combat personnel.

Team members.

Soldiers can't do real technical work, but they are very good at physical work such as moving... This refers to the headquarters!

On the 20th, the preliminary survey of the North Pole was completed; on the 21st, the Antarctic survey was completed, and a position was determined for the North and South Poles respectively.

After the coordinates were sent to the ground, the engineering staff immediately took action and drilled several inclined wells with a depth of tens of meters at the designated locations. Then they filled the wells with explosives and everyone evacuated the scene.

There was an earth-shaking explosion, and countless earth and rocks flew into the sky. When everything was over, a giant inclined shaft with a depth of nearly 100 meters appeared on the originally fine ground.

A large number of engineering personnel and engineering equipment rushed into the inclined shaft and cleared the gravel underground as quickly as possible. As for the uneven shaft wall, they did not care at all.

The large and small gravels were only cleaned to the edge of the well, with no intention of sending them far away.

After the shaft was almost cleared, a dozen transport ships flew to the North Pole of Mars in a neat formation, suspended above the North Pole, and airdropped supplies to the predetermined coordinates.

The container-like airdrop pods are all manufactured to military standards, and each container has a set of guidance equipment that allows them to land at predetermined locations as accurately as guided bombs.
