204 Interrogation

"Get ready to fight!" Ye Han just thought Hu Ya saw the giant locust and didn't even ask what was going on.

"No, no, there's a village on fire ahead!" Hu Ya quickly explained.

"Village?" Ye Han was stunned, and questions emerged in his mind, "What village?

When I passed here yesterday, all the farmland on both sides of the road had been harvested, and the villagers who came back to collect food should have left. How could there be anyone in the village?"

The veteran guessed: "Did you see it wrong?"

"Impossible!" Huya insisted.

Ye Han opened the top cover and immediately saw the slowly rising smoke column in the distance. Because it was too far away, he could only see the blurry village under the smoke column, but could not clearly see what was happening in the village.

His heart suddenly skipped a beat and he quickly retreated into the car: "Let's go over and have a look!"

"Okay!" Huya agreed, and the armored vehicle suddenly accelerated and drove towards the direction of the rising smoke column.

The plume of smoke didn't look far away, but the distance didn't feel close at all. It took the armored vehicle four or five minutes to reach the vicinity of the plume of smoke.

The car parked on the side of the road. Ye Han got out of the car and looked down at the smoke column. He found that the fire had spread to several houses and that the fierce flames were spreading to the surrounding areas.

The veteran handed over the telescope at the right time: "How is it?"

Ye Han raised the telescope in front of his eyes: "I can't see anyone. Could it be that the circuit spontaneously ignited..."

"Bang——" A crisp explosion suddenly came from the direction of the village!

Ye Han was suddenly startled, and subconsciously retracted into the car, saying urgently: "There is gunfire, Huya rush over, hurry!"

"Sit tight!" Huya roared and turned the steering wheel. The armored vehicle rushed straight to the shoulder of the road and crashed through the guardrail of the highway. The eight-meter-long body shook violently and successfully drove off the highway.

The armored vehicle that went down to the field moved in unison and headed toward the village at high speed.

Ye Han fastened himself tightly to the chair with his seat belt, endured the violent bumps and shouted: "Veteran, equip yourself for battle!" All ordinary residents in this area had evacuated, and the gunshots probably came from friendly forces that were exterminating the giant locusts.

The rolling wheels crossed a distance of several hundred meters in a blink of an eye, drove onto the road leading to the village, and then suddenly accelerated and drove into the village.

The armored vehicle driving on the road finally stopped bumping. Ye Han breathed a sigh of relief and pointed the camera at the road directly in front of him. As soon as the camera turned around, he saw five or six people lying motionless on both sides of the road with blood stains on their bodies.

Extremely dazzling.

About ten meters away, a man holding a pistol had a ferocious expression, and the muzzle of the gun was pointed at the fallen people.

Seeing the armored vehicle rushing toward him at a rapid speed, the gunman's ferocious expression instantly changed to one of astonishment, and then he ran away.

An uncontrollable anger surged out of Ye Han's heart: "Huya, chase me!"

Without saying a word, Hu Ya stepped on the accelerator to the bottom. The diesel engine roared low, and the armored vehicle, which was not slow in the first place, moved forward at full speed.

The pistol man knew that his two legs would definitely not be able to outrun the wheels, so he rushed towards the houses on the roadside with all his strength.

Ye Han roared again: "Stop him!"

Without thinking, the veteran controlled the parallel machine gun and fired a string of bullets. The bullets hit the ground in front of the man with the pistol. He was so frightened that he jumped three feet high, turned around and ran to the other side.

The veteran's anger arose in his heart, and he grew evil. He pressed the launch button of the machine gun with one finger, and a white phosphorus incendiary bomb instantly rushed out of the barrel and exploded five or six meters directly in front of the man with the pistol. There was a little fire and a trace of smoke.

It flew away, and a bit of it happened to fall on the leg of the pistol man. The burning white phosphorus instantly burned through his pants, clinging to the skin and burning slowly.

The pistol man threw away the pistol with a scream, fell to the ground holding his injured leg, and rolled around in pain.

The speeding armored vehicle suddenly stopped beside the man with the pistol. Ye Han grabbed the rifle and jumped out of the vehicle. He walked towards the man and pulled the bolt of the gun to load the bullet.

The pistol man immediately showed an expression of extreme panic and begged tremblingly: "Don't, don't kill me!"

Ye Han picked up the rifle and pointed at the man with the pistol from a distance of five meters: "Don't kill? Why!"

There are always shots of guns pointed at the head or back in movies. In fact, even if you have a gun in your hand, you cannot guarantee absolute safety when approaching an unarmed enemy. Keeping an appropriate distance is the correct approach.

The pistol man's eyes flashed slightly, and he suddenly showed an expression of surprise: "You, you are not the same as them?"

Ye Han narrowed his eyes slightly and pointed the gun: "Tell me, who are you!" He did not lose his mind because of anger. Ye Han did not intend to do anything to the pistol man until he understood the cause and effect.

The pistol man was convinced and said quickly: "Comrade, comrade, I am a good person!"

Without saying a word, Ye Han pulled the trigger and shot the gunman on the ground next to him. The soil flying away from the hollow-point bullet fell on the face of the gunman, scaring him so much that he screamed: "Don't, don't kill me!"

"I ask again, who are you?"

The pistol man tried hard to look into Ye Han's eyes: "I, I'm looking for food!"

This answer was beyond everyone's expectation, but Ye Han didn't believe what the pistol man said: "A person who cares about food? A person who cares about food dares to kill people casually? You don't want to live anymore, don't you?"

"No, no, those people came to the village to ask for food. I was just a food watcher. The food in the village was not mine. I couldn't give it to them, so I drove them away. Unexpectedly, a few of them sneaked back and collected the food they had just collected.

All the food was on fire. I acted impulsively and that's all." The pistol man looked guilty.

"Is that so?" Ye Han stared closely into the pistol man's eyes.

The pistol man quickly said: "Really, I didn't lie to you."

"When did a liar say he was a liar?" Ye Han's evidence was a little more toned down, "Well, let me ask you, since you are a food keeper, why did you run away when you saw us!"

The pistol man looked remorseful: "I, I thought you were in the same group with them!"

"Where did the gun come from?" Ye Han asked again.

"I am a militiaman in the village, here to look after the food rations!"

Ye Han glanced around and saw the pistol without any markings on the handle, and couldn't help but snorted: "Hey, our militia has good equipment, Type 92, and it's still a small caliber!"

The pistol man's face changed slightly: "Well... I don't know what's going on. I will use whatever my superiors give me!"

Ye Han's expression became calmer, but he did not move his gun: "What's your name?"

Seeing that Ye Han's expression was relaxed, the pistol man breathed a sigh of relief, but on the surface he still looked fearful: "Zhao Hongwei."

"age!"

"Twenty-four years old."

"Married?

"No knot."

"What's your wife's name?"

"What's your name? I'm not married yet!"

"Twenty-four years old and still not married?" Ye Han's eyes were filled with suspicion, and his piercing eyes seemed to be piercing into Zhao Hongwei's heart.
