206 Man in a Car

Through the fierce burning flames, Ye Han and others clearly saw that the burning house was full of new grain that had not had time to be threshed. The bundles of grain were either burnt black or red, and billowing heat waves hit their faces.

The blazing flames devoured the dead bodies in an instant, and the limbs of several corpses suddenly twisted and danced in the fire, causing the three people to take a step back in unison.

A corpse suddenly sat up, twitching like an involuntary puppet, with half of its head ripped off by bullets, sometimes moving forward and sometimes facing backward, looking like a snake that had been electrocuted.

Hu Ya swallowed in fear: "Ye Pai...exploded, exploded the corpse!"

The veteran glared at Hu Ya with disdain: "What are you afraid of? This is burned, not exploded. You are not a new recruit, so why are you so superstitious?"

Hu Ya looked at Ye Han dubiously, and Ye Han nodded: "The veteran is right."

"How is that possible?" Huya still refused to believe it.

Ye Han explained: "After a person dies, nerve cells are still alive. When stimulated by the outside world, they will have a stress response, which is almost the same as an instinctive reaction."

Huya was still a little skeptical, but seeing how serious Ye Han said it, he finally believed it.

Believe it or not, Huya still felt a chill in his heart when he saw the moving corpse: "Ye Pai, let's leave quickly!"

"Look at your potential!" the veteran laughed and scolded.

Huya laughed dryly, his guilty eyes wandering around.

Ye Han's eyes swept across the huge fire, and a trace of sadness flashed in his eyes: "Let's go." After saying that, he turned and walked towards the armored vehicle.

He is not a real policeman, has no extra energy, and does not have the ability to find out what conflicts Zhao Hongwei had with these people based only on clues.

Hu Ya took a few steps to pass Ye Han and jumped onto the armored vehicle first. He didn't want to stay in this damn place for a second longer.

The veteran followed Ye Han and said softly: "Ye Pai, do we need to look for him again? What if there are still people in the village?"

Ye Han thought for a moment and said, "No need, we can find whatever should come out without us looking for it. If we don't want to come out, we can't find it even if we look for it."

With full military uniforms and armored vehicles, anyone with long eyes can tell the identities of the three of them. If there is anyone in the village who refuses to come out, there is a high probability that they are Zhao Hongwei's accomplice.

The erosion of the high temperature had destroyed the nerves of the corpse, and the moving corpse finally calmed down. The armored vehicle parked not far away started its engine and drove straight through the village.

At the other end of the village, Ye Han and others found a silver-grey car with four doors wide open and seven or eight bullet holes in the body.

"Stop the car, I'll go down and take a look." Ye Han suddenly said.

"What are you looking at?" the veteran asked.

"I think this car may belong to that guy." Ye Han said, picked up the rifle and jumped out of the car.

The silver-gray car was empty, with nothing on the front seat and a deflated backpack on the back seat.

Ye Han casually lifted his bag out of the car, unzipped the backpack, reached around, and took out a dirty camouflage jacket. On the collar, there were two thin stripes representing superior soldiers.

Ye Han's expression changed, and he simply turned his backpack over and shook it vigorously. Another pair of pants fell out of the bag, along with a few compressed biscuits and two magazines filled with bullets.

He first put away the magazine, then picked up the jacket and touched it carefully. His fingertips came across a square the size of a bank card. Ye Han took the thing out and saw that it was indeed a green soldier's ID card from the army.

Opening the soldier's ID card, Zhao Hongwei's photo was affixed to it.

Ye Han dropped his soldier ID card and scratched his hair angrily.

"Ye Pai, what are you looking for?"

"Soldier ID, that boy is not only a murderer, but also a deserter." Ye Han said coldly.

"Damn it!" the old soldier was furious, "You're just smearing us soldiers!"

Ye Han stuffed his soldier ID card into his pocket, threw his clothes back into the car, and turned around to walk towards the armored vehicle.

At this moment, the veteran suddenly shouted: "Ye Pai, the car is moving!"

"What?" Ye Han suddenly turned around and stared at the car with wide eyes.

Ye Han waited patiently for a while, but the car remained motionless. He was puzzled: "Veteran, did you see it wrong?"

"Absolutely not!" the veteran replied affirmatively, simply opened the roof and jumped out of the car, standing next to Ye Han and looking at the car together.

Ye Han looked left and right, and his eyes slowly fell on the trunk of the car. He first loaded the rifle with bullets, then carefully approached the car, grabbed the trunk lever and lifted it up.

There was a soft click, the trunk lid of the car slowly lifted, and an inaudible whine penetrated Ye Han's ears.

Ye Han turned around cautiously and saw that there was a soldier in the trunk with his hands, feet and mouth bound with tape.

When the soldier saw Ye Han's military uniform, his eyes immediately shone with hope.

Ye Han let out a long breath, lowered the gun, reached out and pulled off the tape on the soldier's mouth: "Name, serial number!"

The soldier in the trunk replied feebly: "Liu Erzhu, the first class soldier of Bai Nanying!"

"From Bai Nanying? Why did you get stuck in the traffic jam?" the veteran asked strangely.

Liu Erzhu showed a wry smile: "Squad leader, can you untie me first and then ask?"

The veteran looked at Ye Han and saw Ye Han nodded, then stretched out his hand to pull off the tape on Liu Erzhu's body.

Unexpectedly, the tape was much stronger than imagined. He pulled it left and right but couldn't pull it apart. The veteran got angry and pulled out the knife. He cut the tape with a light slash and let go of Liu Erzhu.

hands and feet.

Liu Erzhu wanted to get up, but he tried twice but failed. The veteran couldn't help asking: "What's wrong?"

"My hands and feet are numb and I can't obey my orders." Liu Erzhu said miserably.

"I'm really scared of you." The veteran reached out and helped Liu Erzhu up, letting him sit in the trunk and move slowly.

Liu Erzhu moved his arms with blocked blood while pleading embarrassedly: "Chief, squad leader, is there anything to eat?"

Ye Han took out a piece of compressed biscuit from his trouser pocket, tore open the package and handed it over.

Liu Erzhu felt as if he had found a treasure. He held the compressed biscuit with his hand that had only recovered a little, took a big bite, opened his cheeks and chewed it, as if he was not eating compressed biscuits, but a full banquet of sea cucumber, abalone and Manchurian.

The compressed biscuits were dry and hard, causing your teeth to clatter when you bite them, and your mouth to dry up when you swallowed them. People with bad teeth tasted like they were trying their best to eat them. This kid bit off a big chunk in one bite, which made Ye Han's teeth hurt.

Liu Erzhu's anxious look like a starving ghost reincarnated made Ye Han sigh, turned around and shouted at the armored vehicle: "Tiger fangs, water!"

"Okay!" Huya opened the top cover and threw a bottle of mineral water at the veteran.

The veteran didn't react quickly enough to catch the bottle of water. He made a thumbs down gesture to Huya, picked up the mineral water, opened the cap and handed it to Liu Erzhu.
