59 Giant Mantis Siege (2)

A soldier who had run out of bullets had no time to change the magazine. He moved his index finger in front of his hand and pressed it hard. With a soft "boom" sound, a high-explosive grenade instantly hit the side of the giant insect. The explosion of flames immediately scorched the giant insect.

Mantis wings.

The giant mantis flying over the wall waved its only half-parted wings in vain, but could no longer control its body shape. Like an old-fashioned airplane hit by an anti-aircraft gun, it fell upside down from the sky.

The falling position was just above the iron ladder. The giant insect's dancing blades and long legs hit the railing heavily, bending the iron ladder guardrail, and the water droplets falling under the railing suddenly scattered.

The explosion above his head made Ye Han instinctively raise his head. The ugly triangular insect head quickly enlarged in his eyes. Ye Han subconsciously raised his rifle and aimed at the falling giant insect.

Ye Han's shooting skills were very good at close range and not a single bullet was wasted. They all penetrated into the giant insect's body.

The last bullet came out of the chamber, and the giant mantis just passed by Ye Han. A long leg was inserted into the railing beside Ye Han. The noise of metal twisting suddenly sounded. The iron ladder under Ye Han's feet tilted suddenly, and a step under his feet

He almost fell when he slipped. He was so frightened that he grabbed the steel frame beside him and almost threw away his gun before he fell on the iron ladder.

The structure of the iron ladder is exactly the same as that of the stairs. Falling down in a place like this is no joke.

Although Ye Han's position was only as high as two floors, there would be no danger even if he jumped, but falling among the scattered steel frames and sharp steel plates was definitely not the same concept as jumping by himself.

Fortunately, the quality of the iron ladder was acceptable, and the spread range was only a little over one meter. Ye Han hooked his arm on the railing and kicked it a few times before returning to a safe position, and heaved a sigh of relief with lingering fear.

It was only then that Ye Han discovered that the insect's legs inserted into the railing were not broken. The twisted insect legs hung the giant mantis that had been shot dozens of times on the iron ladder. The long and movable blade limbs were still very flexible.

.

Lao Hu, who was following Ye Han, was stunned: "Xiaoye, are you okay?"

"It's okay!" Ye Han quickly put on a new magazine, pressed the muzzle of the gun against the charred chest of the giant mantis, and fired all the bullets in the gun in one breath.

The fierce struggle of the giant mantis finally slowed down and turned into a real death struggle. Ye Han replaced the third magazine and shot two shots to break the insect's legs. The curved railing bounced upwards. The heavy giant mantis fell from the air and fell heavily on the ground.

On the ground, the insect's legs slowly waved, and finally it died.

I don't know when the rain fell more rapidly. The dense rain fell on the dead giant insect, and then slowly slid off the insect corpse.

Ye Han wiped off the rain and sweat on his face and exhaled heavily.

He alone poured fifty rounds of bullets into the giant mantis, and combined with the results of the others, the giant mantis was hit by more than a hundred bullets.

This was not the first time that Ye Han had dealt with a giant mantis, but it was the first time that he had to use so many bullets to kill a giant mantis.

He couldn't help but begin to wonder, could it be that the giant mantis had undergone some kind of mutation in just half a month?

"Xiaoye, are you okay?" Zhou Yun shouted while lying on the railing on the upper floor, but his shout was masked by the fierce gunfire. He immediately pressed the call button on the walkie-talkie and repeated his words.

Ye Han replied that it was okay, jumped over the one-meter-wide gap in the iron ladder, and continued to rush towards the wall.

Lao Hu immediately followed. Xiao Jing, who stayed at the back, stared at the insect corpses. His hand holding the gun tightened, loosened and tightened, and finally he gritted his teeth and jumped over the hole.

Ye Han strode up the stairs and finally stepped onto the top of the ten-meter-high city wall.

At this time, on the city wall, a heavily armed fighter was firing fiercely every five meters or so. On two machine gun platforms fifty meters apart, four large-caliber anti-aircraft machine guns were humming happily, and bullets were pouring from the top of the wall.

It leaked down and intercepted the giant mantis rushing towards Jingjiang River.

Outside the city wall, hundreds of giant praying mantises jumped all over the mountains and fields. They rushed toward the city wall one after another against the thundering gunshots and dense bullets. They did not look like a group of praying mantises, but like a large group of grasshoppers.

Seeing this scene, Ye Han couldn't help but be stunned. He couldn't figure out what kind of madness the giant mantis had.

The situation was urgent and there was no time for him to study the habits of the giant mantis, so several people immediately joined the battle against the giant mantis.

Probably due to habit, the distance between the giant mantises is very wide, and it can almost be called a giant insect version of a skirmish line.

Skirmisher lines can play a unique role in human wars, but the giant insect teams are so dispersed that they lose the advantage of intensive assault, giving the defenders the opportunity to annihilate each one.

Ye Han aimed at the giant mantis closest to the city wall and began to draw fire. A series of short bursts of fire were precise and rapid. The gun never left the target's chest. In the blink of an eye, the bullets in the gun were empty again.

Ye Han only carried five magazines with him, and in order to maintain the elasticity of the spring, each magazine only held twenty-five rounds of bullets. He had already fired two of them on the stairs before, and now only the last two magazines were left.

.

But he didn't have time to hesitate. After loading the new magazine, he immediately fired again. In less than half a minute, all the magazines in his body were consumed.

He quickly ran to the supply point with the gun in hand, blocked the rain with his body, opened the plastic bullet box, tore open the outer packaging of the bullet as quickly as possible, stuffed one end of the ten-round clip into the magazine, and pressed down hard with his thumb.

, ten rounds of bullets are immediately loaded into the magazine, repeat this three times, and a thirty-round magazine is refilled.

Reality is not a game. It takes several seconds to empty a magazine when shooting, but the time to fill a magazine is far longer than emptying a magazine.

Although a large number of bullets are prepared on the wall, each bullet needs to be manually pressed into the magazine. That is, the 5.8mm bullets are packed with bridge clips, so that the magazine can be filled in such a fast time.

After replenishing his ammunition, Ye Han rushed back to the fighting position and just picked up his rifle when a giant mantis near the city wall suddenly jumped up, flapped its wings and flew towards the top of the wall.

The huge giant mantis has unsatisfactory speed and agility when flying, but it can barely get into the air.

Ye Han immediately gave up his original target and dumped bullets on the giant mantis that took off. A nearby soldier happened to run out of bullets and immediately fired a grenade without hesitation. Unfortunately, the soldier fired in a hurry and the shot failed to hit the giant mantis.

, just fell to the ground and heard a sound.

But this shot alerted the nearby soldiers, who turned their guns and fired grenades. Before the giant mantis could fly to the top of the wall, it was hit by three grenades. As a result, it lost control and hit the steel plate in the middle of the wall. It was shaken.

The wall shook a little.
