725 Cannon Salute

The blue sea and the sky are the same color. On the edge of the flight deck, the elevator is holding the soldiers covered in dark green matte armor slowly rising up. The scorching sun is shining slantingly, and the sunlight dispels the shadows and casts a faint glow on the soldiers.

To the left and right of the elevator, all the officers and soldiers who witnessed this scene were speechless and stared blankly at the Marines who were armed to the hair.

"Turn left, move together!" The command sounded all around, and the soldiers moved accordingly, with neat and uniform movements.

Ye Han noticed that in addition to his own national flag, a strange flag of blue, green and white with a red five-pointed star was hung above the island.

He had never seen such a flag, but he knew that when warships enter a port, to show respect, they must fly the flag of the port country.

The team quickly arrived at the bow of the ship, and Wei Chengfei waved repeatedly. Under the command of Ye Han, the soldiers stood at the edge of the flight deck on the port side, two meters apart, and stood solemnly facing the outboard.

The sea breeze was blowing, and the bow flags were flying. Eight warships lined up in a row approached the coast. A huge military port became increasingly clear. More than ten warships were clearly visible, and there were no less than three aircraft carriers alone.

But only one is a large aircraft carrier like the Yunzhou, and the other two are at least two sizes smaller. Judging from Ye Han's perspective, they have a displacement of 70,000 tons.

He was not even familiar with his own country's warships, let alone foreign ones. Judging from their appearance, he could only recognize the classic appearance of the American aircraft carrier. As for the other two aircraft carriers, he did not recognize them.

But he knew the national flag. The Union Jack hung straight on the flight deck, belonging to the conservative British; the other ship hung the green, white and red flag of Italy.

There are so many countries that use tricolor flags that Ye Han can't remember which countries those twin flags belong to, except for the flag of Italy, which owns the three major football clubs: Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus.

The British and Italy are both members of the base group, so it is not surprising at all to park the fleet in an American base.

The task force sailed slowly outside the port. A destroyer sailed out of the American base and sounded its whistle while running parallel to the Yunzhou.

The Yunzhou number responded with the sound of its flute.

At this moment, a cannon blast suddenly came from the U.S. warship, followed five seconds later by another blast, and then continued at five-second intervals.

The muscles on Wei Chengfei's face twitched suddenly, what the hell is going on?

Salutes are not fired casually. This is Djibouti. Although this country is on the verge of falling, after all, there is still half of the country. What does it mean for Americans to directly fire salutes?

Moreover, the normal sequence of firing salutes is that the fleet fires twenty-one guns first to express its salute, and then the port plays back twenty-one guns in response. How can the Yankees go ahead and steal Djibouti's business?

It was not until the seventeenth gun salute had been fired that Wei Chengfei quietly breathed a sigh of relief before the eighteenth one came.

Gun salutes are divided into national gun salutes and personal gun salutes. The international practice of the former is twenty-one guns, while the latter is seven to twenty-one guns depending on the status.

Zhuang Bo's rank of Major General should have fired a personal salute of thirteen guns, and the seventeen-gun salute corresponded to the rank of Fleet Commander.

That is to say, only those in the navy understand what is going on here, while laymen like Ye Han just listen to the excitement.

However, Wei Chengfei doesn't think that Americans' courtesy is of any benefit at all. As the saying goes, people must ask for something if they are polite. Maybe the Americans are holding back something bad.

After the US ship fired a salute, the destroyer accompanying the Yunzhou played back a 17-gun salute.

The fleet continued to move forward, passed the American base, and arrived outside the French base. The two sides exchanged another salute.

After bypassing the French base, the fleet turned and sailed from north to west. After passing the French base, the Chinese base was in sight.

Wei Chengfei had long been informed by the base that there were not only his own family members stationed at the base, but also foreign affairs officials from Djibouti on the dock. The task force deliberately slowed down its speed and fired twenty-one cannons.

When the sound of cannons came from the pier, Wei Chengfei suddenly had a thought in his mind: Were the people who fired the cannons on the pier someone from Djibouti? It couldn't have been someone from the base who set off the cannons, right?

If it were Djibouti before the insect disaster, these twenty-one cannons would naturally be fired, but now all industries in this place are in depression, and all the originally meager military power is consumed in the cause of fighting insects. If it were not for the special natural environment that limits the giant ants,

With the spread of the disease, this country has long since completely disappeared under the raging ant colony like its neighboring countries.

Wei Chengfei only guessed half of it right.

The person who fired the salute on the shore was indeed not the local black uncle, but it was also not his own family in the base, but a Frenchman invited by Kyrgyzstan.

This is not surprising. This place was originally a colony of the French. After independence, France was still its suzerain. The relationship between the two countries is very special, so much so that France is responsible for all the defense of Djibouti.

It's not surprising that the Gauls appeared, but it's surprising that they can't be seen.

The due etiquette was over, the fleet finally docked, and the ordinary crew members returned to the ship after being disbanded. Ye Han wanted to leave but was a step too late. Wei Chengfei, who had quick hands and eyes, caught the young man, and accompanied him to get off the ship, and followed him to the port to greet him.

Contact local officials emotionally.

There were more than a dozen fleet officers accompanying him, but Zhuang Bo never showed up.

The two sides had a friendly conversation in French...at least their expressions were very friendly, but Ye Han didn't understand a word of what was said.

The local Uncle Hei and the Gallic foreign aid invited by Uncle Hei became extremely interested in the power armor on Ye Han's body and kept asking the translator questions.

Most of Uncle Black's questions were superficial and his admiration was palpable, while the Gauls' questions were much more profound, often touching on the fundamentals and unable to be answered at all.

At the beginning, Ye Han patiently explained the parts he could talk about, but the more he answered, the more questions he had, which made him impatient, so he simply said he had no comment.

Uncle Hei was disappointed, Gaul was curious, and Ye Han was helpless.

He would rather connect with the giant African ants outside the desert than face a group of curious local black uncles. If it were not for the constraints of foreign affairs discipline, he would have sneaked back to the battleship to hide.

If I had known it would be such a troublesome thing, I would have brought a few more people over to share Uncle Hei's firepower!

Ye Han couldn't get an answer here. Uncle Hei and the Gaul foreign aid unanimously turned their attention to Wei Chengfei. Uncle Hei was very simple and straightforward and asked how much a set of power armor would cost.

In-depth cooperation between the military industries of the two countries.

It’s not surprising that Uncle Hei wants to buy power armor, but what does Gaul’s foreign aid mean? Don’t they have armor provided by Americans?

But if you think about it carefully, Ye Han will understand that the Gauls have always been independent and have unique weapons and equipment. Most of them are unwilling to be choked by the Americans, so they proposed cooperation with China.

Thinking of this, Ye Han was suddenly startled - what are the identities of these Gauls who are qualified to make such suggestions?
