Chapter 831 Destroy my Buddha statue and teach me a new method

Some time ago, there was a very popular debate variety show, which was very popular with the audience, especially the debaters who were quick-thinking and eloquent. The audience knew that what they said might be wrong, but they were convinced in the end.

However, what most viewers don't know is that those who are really good at debating are not those with high IQs or high academic qualifications. In China, the most powerful debaters come from Buddhism.

Buddhism has always had an active Zen debate, where a group of monks sit together and talk to each other about idealism, trying to convince each other.

Anyone who has read a little will know the difference between materialism and idealism. Materialism is based on matter and principle, but idealism starts from the heart, and what it says is illusory.

Just imagine, you have to use fluffy words to convince your opponents, or even believers, to make these believers believe how good these monks must be in eloquence and how good they are at brainwashing.

The more famous verses are naturally the two verses written by the Sixth Patriarch Huineng and Shenxiu.

"The body is like a bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror. It should be brushed diligently at all times to prevent it from attracting dust."

"The bodhi tree has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the beginning, so how can it cause dust."

Even those who are not Buddhist disciples have heard of these two poems. Naturally, Hui Neng won this debate, but would it be better if it were really Hui Neng’s poems?

The two are just arguments from two different angles, but to outsiders, Huineng's poems may seem more high-minded, that is, more B-style.

There is also a very famous saying: "Sometimes the wind blows and the flags move. Huineng said it is not the wind or the flags, but the heartbeat."

This is a kind of debating wit in Buddhism, and Huineng’s debating skills have been studied by future generations of monks. Almost every eminent monk has such a skill of pretending to be a b.

The master of the Jokhang Temple looked at the old Indian monk and said: "Everyone is a Tathagata, and the Tathagata is also everyone, but the only person who awakens his original mind is the son of the Buddha."

The old Indian monk frowned. The master of Jokhang Temple was using his strength to refute him with what he just said.

Yes, everyone is a Tathagata. We do not deny this. But the key is that everyone has not awakened or clearly seen the original mind. Only by clearly seeing the original mind can one become a Buddha and a Tathagata. And

The Buddha happens to see the original mind clearly.

The old Indian monk knew very well that if he questioned the Buddha's failure to clearly see the original mind, the monks in front of him would definitely give him the word "haha". Although the Buddhists all explain how to see the original mind, who has done it in the past?

Just because no one has done it, then each school and each faction has its own version of what the true intention of clearly seeing is, and there are different opinions. If he doesn't admit it, then he has to prove it?

"They say the Chinese are extremely cunning, and now it turns out that's true. But the good thing is that we didn't come empty-handed."

Several old monks in India looked at each other, and then the old monk from before said: "The Buddha left three life-size statues. Since you say he is the son of Buddha, you can naturally make the life-size statues react.

It just so happens that this time, we also brought a life-size statue of Buddha."

The expressions of several old Indian monks became solemn, and then they began to perform sutras and recite incantations. As they recited the incantations, a wave of space energy rippled out, and a shadow appeared behind them.

It was a golden Buddha statue, and the whole thing was solemn and solemn. When seeing this Buddha statue, the expressions of the disciples of the Three Treasures present all changed, and they became extremely respectful, and they chanted the Buddha's name in unison.

No matter how different the major sects of Buddhism are, they all have to respect the 25-year-old statue of Sakyamuni because this is their common ancestor.

"Amitabha, I didn't expect to see the 25-year-old life-size statue of the Buddha again after twenty years. But what do you mean by the illusory projection of the life-size statue of the Buddha?"

As heaven-level experts, these masters could tell at a glance that the life-size statue of Buddha had not really come here. After thinking about it, they knew that it was impossible for India to bring the life-size statue of Buddha to China, because once it fell in China,

, they cannot afford this consequence.

This is a space projection created by a few heaven-level experts. It is somewhat similar to the current instant video, but different from the video, this projection is real, which means that everything that happens here can be sensed in the space over there.

.

If there is an explosion here at this time, then the space where the Buddha statue in the projection is located will also be impacted by the explosion, and this kind of space projection requires at least six heaven-level experts to join forces to create it.

There are three here, and then there are three heaven-level powerhouses far away in India to cooperate in casting spells. Both parties must cooperate tacitly, and after receiving the news of the Buddha's appearance a few days ago, the Indian side has already begun preparations.

That's all.

To put it bluntly, the Indian side still does not believe that Fang Baobao is a son of Buddha, so it suspects that the Chinese side has made a conspiracy to snatch their title of Buddhist holy land. They even think that the two statues of Buddha and others have been tampered with, and they can only use

This method can prove that Buddha is fake.

The expressions of several masters of the Jokhang Temple became ugly. They made it clear that they did not believe them and were deliberately looking for trouble. However, they could not stop them. Otherwise, it would easily give people the feeling of guilty conscience.

Just as several masters at the Jokhang Temple were thinking about how to deal with it, Fang Baobao's clear voice came out again.

"presumptuous!"

Everyone turned their attention to Fang Baobao, and saw that Fang Baobao's immature face was full of seriousness, and he angrily said: "I preached to the world more than two thousand years ago, leaving behind a third-class statue to suppress all evils.

Let the Buddha's Dharma be immortal, and you dare to question my identity. Are you trying to deceive me and destroy your ancestors?"

It is a big crime to deceive the master and destroy the ancestors, especially when Fang Baobao, who is still claiming to be a Buddhist disciple, said that the expressions of the monks in India also changed slightly, but the old monks still held on forcefully because they

There is no turning back. If they cannot prove that the Buddha is fake this time, then when today's incident spreads, they will face the abuse of believers all over the world.

"We still don't know whether it is true or not. We are also cautious. Even if the Buddha knew about it, he would definitely not blame him."

"Won't you blame me?"

Fang Baobao sneered, "Although I am a merciful Buddha, I have preached 3,672 volumes of Dharma, including 1,650 volumes of Dacheng Buddhism and 2,022 volumes of Hinayana Buddhism. Unless I am sincere, I will not be able to do so."

Dharma, you who question my identity, how can you enter the door of my Three Jewels? From today on, as the body of Sakyamuni, I decree that the venerable Bodhisattva under you, your lineage, will never have the light of the Buddha to shine."

"Whether or not the Buddha's light shines is not up to you. You'd better prove your identity as a disciple of the Buddha."

The faces of several old monks in India became ugly. What Fang Baobao meant was that in the future, all Buddhist sages and Bodhisattvas would not teach the Dharma to them, which meant that they in India had been abandoned by the Buddha.

"Don't worry, I will naturally prove my identity. Since I have returned, there is no need for the third-class statue to exist."

The confident expression on Fang Baobao's face made the old monks in India feel a little uneasy, but they were comforting themselves that their guess was definitely not wrong, and the child in front of them was definitely not a disciple of the Buddha.

What is the identity of the Buddha? He is compassionate. How could he be as sharp-tongued and arrogant as the child in front of him? This is definitely a fake. Now he is just bluffing.

Thinking of this, the Indian monk felt much more at ease. However, the moment Fang Baobao heard a soft drink, the Indian monk's expression was full of disbelief.

"Sakyamuni, answer me!"

Fang Baobao just said this softly, as if saying hello to someone, but after shouting this sentence, the two Buddha statues on the high platform suddenly emitted light, and the light fell directly on Fang Baobao

.

If only these two life-size statues responded, the Indian monk would not be so incredible. But the key is that in mid-air, in the illusory projection, the twenty-five-year-old life-size statue of the Buddha also responded, with a golden light.

After crossing the distance of space, it shot directly from the void, tearing the void and shining on Fang Baobao's body.

The three life-size statues responded at the same time. At this moment, no one questioned Fang Baobao's identity as a Buddhist disciple.

After all, the three life-size statues have existed for so long, but no matter which eminent monk they are, they have never been able to make the Buddha statues change. And now just because of a soft drink, the Buddha statues responded. Isn't this exactly what it means?

Have you learned your identity as a Buddhist?

No one can do it except a Buddhist disciple.

"Amitabha, welcome my return!"

In the entire square, all the monks knelt down and bowed down to Fang Baobao. Fang Baobao also endured it generously. Three golden lights fell on him, making him even more holy and sacred.

While everyone was immersed in the shock of Fang Baobao's identity being confirmed, Fang Ming's expression in the background became a little weird, because he guessed how Fang Baobao managed to get the Buddha to respond.

According to what Fang Baobao said, there is a grudge between him and Gautama Buddha, and these three life-size statues were consecrated and blessed by Gautama Buddha himself. Naturally, there are traces of Gautama Buddha's mark, even very small.

There may still be a trace of Sakyamuni’s memory.

Obviously, Fang Baobao's soft drink made Sakyamuni's remnant recognize Fang Baobao. The three golden rays of light were not identity authentication at all, but the suppression of Fang Baobao.

The reason why Fang Ming came to such a judgment is also based on. The first point is that Fang Baobao just called "Sakyamuni", which was like calling "Bald Donkey" without any respect.

A provocative tone.

The second point is that after these golden rays of light fell on Fang Baobao, Fang Ming discovered with sharp eyes that a golden halo appeared around Fang Baobao. The monks outside might think that this golden halo was the body-protecting Buddha's light, but only he

You know, this is Fang Baobao's automatic defense from the sealed power in his body when he faces danger.

"It seems like this guy has already calculated all this."

Fang Ming murmured. He already understood that even if there were no Indian monks to appear and question, Fang Baobao would eventually deliberately provoke the two life-size statues of Buddha in order to gain everyone's recognition of his status as a Buddha.

The arrival of the Indian monk can only be said to be the icing on the cake, giving Fang Baobao a perfect reason to take action. Of course, in the end, the Indian monk will also have to bear the unreasonable disaster.

"On that day, I said that the Buddha statue and I will live forever. Today, when I return, the Buddha statue has also completed its merits and virtues. I should understand the cause and effect of the previous life."

Fang Baobao rolled his eyes, looked at the two Buddha statues on the stage, and ordered to the people below: "You disciples, please reshape my body, get rid of the old and welcome the new."

Hearing Fang Baobao's words, the monks in the audience were stunned for a moment, and Fang Ming's eyes shrank. He understood what Fang Baobao was going to do. This guy was so bold that he wanted to smash the life-size statue of Buddha.

It seems that it is indeed what Fang Baobao said. There is a lot of grudge between him and Sakyamuni. Not only did he pretend to be his reincarnation, but now he even wants to destroy his Buddha statue.

"Why, you haven't taken action yet?"

Fang Baobao glared at the monks below, and then said: "Whoever makes the merits of the Buddha statue in my previous life complete first will be my direct disciple."

The effect of this sentence is huge. It is easy to imagine that the status of a direct disciple of the Buddha is extremely high. More than two years and five hundred years ago, the Buddha Sakyamuni taught the Dharma. All his disciples have now become Buddhas.

Enjoy the incense offered by thousands of families.

Obviously, now is an opportunity for Buddhism to reshuffle the cards. When the Buddha reincarnates, he will definitely teach the Dharma again. The Buddhist scriptures may have to be rewritten. Many monks have already thought about what happened at the beginning.

"After more than 2,500 years, the Buddha reincarnated and collected his disciples at the foot of the Snowy Mountains to spread the new Dharma..."

Almost instantly, dozens of figures rushed towards the high platform, including the five masters of the Jokhang Temple. Although they were masters and heaven-level powerhouses, they were also fanatical Buddhists.

Some people even saw an old Indian monk among these figures. It was the one who had previously questioned the identity of the Buddha. Seeing this old monk rushing towards the high platform, many of the guests' mouths twitched.

Come to think of it, Indian Asan is indeed quite shameless.

Earlier, I had questioned the identity of Buddha, but now I was so active and rushed forward first.

Fang Baobao looked at these monks who rushed to the stage. His expression remained unchanged, but he sneered in his heart. The reason why he wanted to destroy these two life-size statues of Sakyamuni was certainly not to take revenge on him.

So simple, after all, destroying the life-size statue will make some people doubt his motives.

But he had to do this because he wanted to achieve his goal and this step was necessary.
