Chapter 1

The phrase "returning to the pre-liberation period overnight" is often used to describe people suddenly becoming very poor, and decades of hard work vanishing into thin air.

But what if someone really returns to before liberation overnight?

When Liu Lang woke up from his coma and raised his head with difficulty, even though he was brave enough, he was still shocked by the scene before him that was beyond his imagination.

Less than fifty meters away from him, they were all wearing yellow-green steel helmets, carrying khaki rucksacks, and khaki military uniforms. They were holding ridiculously long rifles and were bending over to follow the skirmisher line.

Come here.

The ferocious look on his face and the numb muscles are clearly visible.

Liu Lang wanted to curse, but his memory from the last second clearly told him that as the chief weapons designer of the 5210 Military Factory, although in name only, he was personally testing the newly developed weapon code-named "Changkong" at the factory's shooting range.

Soldiers’ rocket launcher conducted its first live-fire test.

The "Changkong" individual rocket launcher looks very impressive just by its appearance. It has a caliber of 60 mm but is only 75 cm long. With the warhead included, the total weight of the rocket launcher is only a mere 4.5 kg. Despite its small size, it has an effective range of 700 meters.

The maximum range is claimed to be 1,000 meters, and the explosive power of the warhead is equivalent to a thermobaric bomb equivalent to 6 kilograms of TNT.

If it can be deployed into the army, based on the PLA's standard combat load of 30 kilograms, an individual soldier can carry seven or eight warheads.

This was naturally a joy for Liu Lang, who was born in the special forces. If he had had such awesome equipment back then, annihilating the terrorist bases on the western border would not have been so troublesome.

The nominal chief designer didn't know whether the awesome-looking rocket launcher was really awesome or fake. Anyway, after the "boom" sound, Liu Lang woke up and saw such a strange scene.

Am I out of my mind or are those bureaucrats out of mind? Liu Lang vowed that when he goes back, he will stuff the heads of those bureaucrats who only smirk and argue at the conference table into the toilet.

Regardless of whether the experiment succeeds or fails, or even explodes, the "chief designer" should be sent to the hospital or the morgue, not to this bullshit photo studio!

But don't tell me, this director is a bit better than most directors of anti-Japanese dramas. At least the costumes of the extras are pretty good.

Apart from other things, the famous Type 90 steel helmet can be imitated just like the real thing.

The Japanese Army's "90" style steel helmet was officially commissioned by the Japanese army in 1930, the year 2590 of the Japanese calendar, and was named "Tetsudou". It was yellow-green in color, with a golden five-pointed star in the center. It was a trophy collected by the old man in the family.

This steel helmet is something Liu Lang is very familiar with since he was a child.

Does making a movie have something to do with me? Liu Lang had just finished scolding his mother. He heard a piercing scream from behind him from far to near.

Liu Lang subconsciously turned sideways, instinctively put his hands on his chest and lowered his body lower. Judging from the sound, it should be a howitzer of more than 75 mm. Liu Lang immediately did it

This is the most correct way to avoid the shock wave caused by the explosion of artillery shells. Usually in movies, the behavior of crawling on the ground to avoid artillery shells will end up in a real battlefield, with the final result being vomiting blood, including pieces of internal organs.

It's just that we are just making a movie. Is it necessary to be so outrageous? Even the real thing is brought out? While he instinctively avoided it, Liu Lang had a flash of doubt in his heart.

Out of habitual caution, Liu Lang did not stand up happily to appreciate the power of the fake cannon in the movie. Soon, he felt lucky for his caution.

"I'm going..." Amid the shock wave that hit the ground, Liu Lang opened his mouth wide, and uttered a curse word regardless of the ash he poured into his mouth.

If this were movie special effects, Liu Lang, who had never set foot in a theater, decided to buy a movie ticket, no, buy several movie tickets to support this dedicated director.

It's so real, exactly like the real thing.

The shell was fired very accurately, although perhaps due to the pre-designed explosion point, the shell exploded less than 40 meters in front of Liu Lang. The huge shock wave destroyed all three-dimensional creatures within a radius of 30 meters.

The "soldiers" on the opposite side heard the sound of incoming artillery shells and quickly fell to the ground to avoid it. It was obviously in vain. In the huge shock wave generated by the 75mm howitzer, several "soldiers" were thrown into the air in weird postures, and then disappeared without a sound.

It fell to the ground like a doll that had been carelessly discarded.

The moment the shell exploded, the huge shock wave had already claimed their lives in advance. Liu Lang, who had experienced a hail of bullets, knew very well the consequences of being hit by a field artillery at such a close range.

Damn it, who can tell me what is going on? Liu Lang threw away the bloody severed hand that fell on his head with some numbness.

The smell of blood and the soft skin of the monk ferociously proved one thing to Liu Lang, it was definitely not a prop.

However, this was no longer important to Liu Lang, from the moment the artillery shells exploded and the soldiers flew into the air.

Liu Lang knew that this was not some damn movie, and those soldiers flying into the sky with their weirdly twisted bodies were not extras.

This is actually a battlefield, a battlefield where lives are needed.

A battlefield that is at least seventy years away from the time and space he is familiar with.

What does it mean to go back to before liberation overnight?

This is.

The unique "90-style" steel helmet, the unique three-eight big cover, the snapping short legs, no longer need to listen carefully to the faint chirping coming from the opposite side, the "extras" on the opposite side have nothing but the leather curtain behind their heads.

The extremely familiar attire clearly told Liu Lang where they came from.

Except for the island country in the east that is short of resources and likes to have collective brain cramps.

Liu Lang really couldn't think of another country or ethnic group with such uniform heights.

Japanese?

Turns out to be a damn Japanese.

After a brief period of shock, Liu Lang suddenly wanted to laugh.

Laugh loudly.

An unspeakable excitement spread from the bottom of his heart to his whole body. Liu Lang felt that the blood all over his body was burning due to the sudden excitement, which made him tremble all over and bring tears to his eyes.

Everyone has a dream, and Liu Lang is no exception.

As a New Chinese who was born under the red flag and grew up under the constant bombardment of various Patriotic War movies, as a soldier who is always on guard against crazy neighbors, as a person who has never seen her grandma being beaten by her father and cannot find her.

A child of Haven, Liu Lang has had a dream since he was a child.

When soldiers fight, horses march to Tokyo.

A very simple, but difficult to realize dream.

But now, the dream that was once out of reach was actually placed in front of him, just like a certain female major who he once secretly admired but dared not express in words suddenly took off her clothes and lay in front of him.

Within reach.

This is simply God's greatest gift to him.

Even if we are on this battlefield where people can lose their lives at any time, and even if there are heavy artillery fire, even if there are no less than 200 Japanese troops on the opposite side, according to visual inspection, these are nothing in the face of dreams.

What's more, as the most elite guard of the Republic, Liu Lang is confident that he can escape unscathed with his own skills.

But there is a saying that goes well, dreams are full, but reality is skinny.

The next moment, Liu Lang felt cold all over from his uncontrollable excitement.
