What Buddhist cultivation emphasizes is the path to liberation, the end of life and death, and the end of troubles, rather than the cultivation of supernatural powers.
For poor people, they feel that poor and humble couples are miserable. Having money can solve everything, and they will be happy. Don't you know that when you have money, you will have a lot of worries. It doesn't mean you don't have worries just because you have money.
Magical powers are just like money. Having magical powers does not mean that you can escape from life and death or stay away from troubles.
It's just that people in the world treat magical powers like money, thinking that having it can solve all their troubles. Don't they know that magical powers can't relieve troubles, they just prove that you have achieved success in practicing Buddhism.
Miraculous powers are not the ultimate, but only manifestations of the Dharma. All the eminent Buddhist monks know this. However, people in the world are ignorant and have half-doubts about Buddhism. If we want to convince them, we can only use magical powers to demonstrate the inconceivable.
This is also a convenient way to cross people.
"Be careful of the Demon Sect." Monk Jishen warned again.
Chu Li smiled and nodded.
Monk Jishen said: "Our Buddhist sect has produced many top figures, and many of them fell into the hands of the demonic sect. They often come to challenge Buddhist talents as soon as they see them, thus destroying their confidence and leading them to fall into the demonic way."
Chu Li said: "Does the Demon Sect harm people?"
"Evil methods naturally harm people." Monk Jishen hummed, "Working hard will be in vain."
Chu Li nodded slowly.
He could tell that this so-called demon sect was different from the demon sect in the world below. It was not harmful to people, but the methods of cultivation were different, so he was dismissed as a demon. There might be others, which he needed to understand slowly.
"Master Jishen, let's write a letter!" Monk Xuye said.
"I'll have someone send it over tomorrow." Monk Jikong hummed, "Don't worry, I agreed, and I will never regret it!"
"That's good." Monk Xuye said, "Don't you want us to go in and sit for a while?"
"I still want to write a letter, so you should reply." Monk Jikong said.
"You..." Monk Xuye shook his head and smiled: "Then we can only go back and say goodbye!"
What is Chu Lihe?
He put his hand on Monk Xuye's shoulder, and the two of them disappeared in a flash.
The next moment, the two of them were already in Chu Li's Zen courtyard.
Monk Xu Ye looked at Chu Li and praised: "It is indeed a great magical power, but Master Dingru, it is best not to let other people know about this magical power."
Chu Li nodded: "Thank you, Master, for your guidance."
He immediately understood what Monk Xu Ye meant. He didn't want to arouse people's speculation. In this world without Qing Gong, Shen Zu Tong would be even more amazing. It would arouse people's suspicion and make people feel insecure, lest they suddenly appear in their own homes.
Being able to come and go freely is such a terrifying ability. How can it not make people guess?
"Then I won't bother you anymore." Monk Xuye said with a smile.
He sighed at Chu Li's wisdom. Even though he was in the deep mountains and didn't know the world, he could understand it at a glance and his wisdom was astonishing.
Chuli's lectures only had more than 300 believers, but they had a great influence.
The connections among the believers were closer, and the news spread faster. Within two days, the news had spread. All the believers who listened to the scriptures highly praised Chu Li, the new eminent monk, which aroused the curiosity of other believers.
In the early morning of the third day, Monk Xuye came over and told him that believers had been coming one after another for the past three days, wanting to ask him to open the forum to lecture again. They all wanted to listen to his wonderful Dharma, and hoped that Chu Li could open the forum to lecture again.
Chu Li happily agreed, and in the early morning of the fourth day, he held another lecture in the Main Hall.
This time not only the believers came, but also the eminent monks of Lingyin Temple, and more and more believers came. News about the eminent monk Chu Li had spread throughout the huge Yunding City. Many people had just heard the news and hurried to
Come.
Later, the main hall could no longer accommodate so many people, so it had to be moved outside Baoen Temple.
Chu Li sat on the steps at the entrance of Baoen Temple, while the others sat in the open space in front of the door. On both sides were several ancient trees that were lush and full of life.
Under the shade of the trees, more than two thousand people sat together and looked at Chu Li quietly, preparing to listen to his sermon.
Chu Li's gaze slowly swept over the crowd, then he titheed and began to lecture.
He used the method of teaching scriptures and pulled everyone into the world he created, as if it were a paradise. In this world, they all became wise, had a photographic memory, and had astonishing understanding.
After the Diamond Sutra was finished, everyone was immersed in it for a long time, unable to extricate themselves, and did not want to come out of this world.
The past seems to disappear like clouds, and the negative thoughts in the heart are swept away. There is only tranquility and joy. The body and mind are washed, and it is like being reborn. Especially for Buddhist disciples, the feeling is deeper.
In the territory where the sutras are preached, all the obstacles they encountered in practicing Buddhism have disappeared, and their progress has been rapid, which is better than several years of hard work.
"Amitabha!" Monk Jishen bowed deeply.
The nine old monks, ten middle-aged monks and twenty young monks behind him followed him to tithe, their faces were solemn and their faces were solemn, as if they were facing the Buddha with solemnity.
Chu Lihe even returned the courtesy.
"Listening to a Buddhist scripture from the master is better than half a lifetime of hard work." Monk Jishen sighed: "It is truly a supreme and wonderful method, admirable and admirable!"
He once again admired Chu Li's magical power. This kind of magical power is the real magical power. It is a hundred times better than the power of the divine eye and the foot. It is the supreme magical power that benefits all living beings and promotes Buddhism.
In such a Buddhist realm, everyone is truly a Buddha, able to open their true nature freely and explore the Tathagata's treasury.
Chu Li smiled: "Master Ji Shen thanks you for the award."
"I never praise others with empty words. Such magical powers are really miraculous!" Monk Jishen shook his head and said, "And this is the first time I have seen it and the first time I have heard of it."
Chu Li said: "This is the magical power that the young monk realized on his own. He obtained it by chance and by chance."
"Master Dingru, take good care of it." He took out a box from his wide sleeves and handed it to Chu Li: "This is a letter written by Lao Na. If we do our best, our Yunding City will have a top monk.
.”
Chu Li took it with both hands and said no more thanks.
At this time, everyone woke up one after another, admiring with joy and unable to restrain themselves.
Chu Li stood up, titheed, and drifted away.
Everyone was unwilling to leave for a long time, as if the atmosphere of the place where scriptures were preached was still floating around. Sitting here, their minds were still peaceful and happy, and they wished they could sit here forever and never move.
This attracted the attention of the people around him, and they all came over to inquire about the news. After learning Chu Li's name, they became more curious and wanted to personally experience the wonders of this magical monk.
While they were inquiring, they saw the enthusiastic faces of the believers after listening to the sutra. They became more and more curious, so they all requested Baoen Temple to invite Master Dingru to give a lecture again.
So three days later, Chu Li opened the forum again and lectured on the Diamond Sutra.
This time there were more believers, nearly 20,000, and Baoen Temple could no longer accommodate so many people, so they came to the foot of a mountain outside Yunding City. Chu Li sat on a rock and lectured to the people sitting at the foot of the mountain.
When everyone woke up, they saw densely packed birds and animals around them, as if they were also listening to the sutra.
However, wherever Chu Li's mental power passed through, even birds and beasts were not immune and were dragged into the territory of the scriptures.
