Chapter Fourteen I am a god

Qi took a moment to relax his already frozen body, and then he came to the totem pole and looked at it.

He has never seen such a strange totem. Normal totems are animals. Through the worshiped animals, you can roughly know the character of the tribal people and the good and evil of the gods.

But the totem in front of me is obviously not like this, it is actually a tree and a skeleton.

What does this mean?

Qi frowned, what kind of god is this? Is it an evil god or a good god?

I can't tell the difference at all.

But the more this happens, the more cautious he has to be.

Qi turned around and pulled his family members, knelt down on the opposite side of the bonfire, bowed three times and kowtowed.

"O God, I will undoubtedly disturb your slumber, but we are about to die. I hope you can give us poor refugees a temporary rest." Qi said softly, and after finishing speaking, he pulled his family to kowtow.

Xiaobai sat in the totem space and looked curiously at the primitive people outside.

These people were obviously not the tribesmen he knew, because the animal skins on their bodies were not cooked skins, just ordinary animal skins.

Moreover, they were sallow and thin, and it was obvious that they were not eating well.

His tribe now has no shortage of food, and every one of them has a rosy complexion, which is fundamentally different from the previous family.

So these primitive people came from other tribes?

"No, they are refugees." The system explained.

"Refugee? What do you mean?" Xiaobai asked while continuing to observe.

"Refugees are people who have been abandoned by the tribe. If they are abandoned by the tribe, they will no longer have the protection of the gods. Therefore, refugees are homeless people and have no faith." The system's voice was very calm, but it also made it clear.

Xiaobai suddenly realized, to put it bluntly, they are a group of poor people.

This is not the scientific society of the previous life, which advocated atheism. There are really gods in other worlds, because Xiaobai is one of them.

Without the ethnic group and without the blessing of the gods, it is basically equal to death, and it is impossible to survive in this world.

Because of faith, gods were born. Because of the protection of gods, giant beasts and insects could not easily approach the tribe, and the tribesmen thrived happily.

From this point of view, these people are really lucky to be here.

This is fate! (`)

Just as the tribe was worried about not having enough manpower, refugees immediately came to the Totem Clearing. It was simply a gift from God.

There are seven people in Qi's family, including Qi's mother, woman, and four children.

Except for his mother, the other people are all high-quality people! Xiaobai is not going to let them go.

As long as 7 of them can be absorbed into the tribe, there will be many benefits.

First of all, the tribe has increased its population, and secondly, there are a few more people who can contribute faith, and they can survive, perfect!

When Xiaobai thought of this, he could let the system perform a believer link.

He told Wan to bring food and animal skin clothing to the open space, and it would be best to call a few more tribesmen.

Why are we called Burakumin? It's just in case.

Who knows what the temperament of these primitive people in front of me is like. If Wan is hurt, there will be no place to cry, so it is better to call a few more people for insurance.

Wan was a little surprised when she received the news from Xiaobai, but without hesitation, she immediately told the old chief the matter.

The old chief found five tribesmen, plus himself, took food and animal skin clothing and set off with Wan, rushing to the totem clearing.

When Xiaobai saw the green light spots on the totem map begin to move, he knew that Wan had already set off.

He planned to use the time before Wan came to test these refugees to see who they really were.

"Who are you?" Xiaobai spent some faith points and immediately let his voice echo in the totem clearing.

"You call this testing?" The system covered its face. Do you dare to be more straightforward?

The sudden sound startled the Qi family. Qi stood up and looked around in surprise.

The totem open space is just that big and there is no obstruction. Qi can be sure that there is no one around.

So, where does the sound come from?

"Answer me, who are you? Why did you come to my resting place?" Xiaobai asked again. Although he knew that these people were refugees, he still had to ask.

Of course this is just to show off!

If you don’t scare these guys, who knows what these guys will do in a while!

Make them fearful so that they can be safe.

Resting place?

Qi suddenly realized that what he said could only be the totem in front of him, the god who was worshiped by others!

He quickly knelt down in front of the bonfire and kowtowed respectfully.

"God, we are refugees with nowhere to go." Qi Bi replied respectfully.

"Why did you become a refugee?" Xiaobai asked doubtfully.

"Because of me! It's because of me that Qi Ta became a refugee." The old mother suddenly said excitedly.

Qi?

Xiaobai looked at the respectful adult primitive man and finally knew his name.

"So, you made a mistake?" Tribes usually don't kick adults out easily. Qi was in his prime, so why did he become a refugee.

"No! My mother made no mistake. Because she could no longer contribute to the tribe, the chief planned to throw her out to die, so we left the tribe!" Qi raised his head and shouted with red eyes.

I see.

Xiaobai understood that this was exactly what happened in primitive society.

Due to the shortage of food and supplies, primitive tribes often cannot support too many people, so in order to ensure the existence of the tribe, they must abandon some insignificant people.

What do you mean by insignificant people? They are those who are old and frail, waiting for food!

In other words, old people and babies!

These two types of people cannot contribute to the tribe and waste food and materials, so they will be abandoned.

Qi's mother happened to be such a person, so Qi probably became a refugee because of this.

People like Qi seem to be rare in primitive societies.

Things like sympathy are often redundant for primitive tribes. They have no time to sympathize and are more struggling to survive.

Under such circumstances, people like Qi appear extremely valuable, but also extremely rare.

If Qi is telling the truth, then Xiaobai really plans to recruit him as a Burakumin.

Because of Qi’s kindness!

"I understand, then, where do you plan to go?" The right of choice still has to be given to them, after all, forceful melons are not sweet.

If Qi chooses to leave, Xiaobai will never stop him. He will only ask Wan to give him food and animal skin clothing, and let him fend for himself.

If Qi chooses to stay, Xiaobai will persuade the old chief to absorb him.

"I don't know." Qi smiled bitterly.

He knew the dangers of becoming a refugee, but what could he do?

It is not up to him to decide whether to become a refugee or not.

"Are you willing to be my believer?" Xiaobai asked after a moment of silence.

"Can my family become your believers?" Qi raised his head and asked with hope.

"Okay." Xiaobai answered simply.

Qi did not speak, but instead led the whole family to kowtow desperately, with tears falling down his cheeks and falling to the ground.

Finally, I finally have a destination again!

No need to continue wandering!

Qi couldn't hold back the tears in his eyes. He had been having such a hard time this month.

Now, he can finally relax.
