Chapter 20 Lie of the Lizard

Lizard tribe, a tribe with thousands of people worshiping the Lizard God.

Lie was once a Lizardhide warrior, a clerical warrior of the Saurus Tribe.

He once had glory and was respected by others, but God played a joke on him.

When he went hunting, the Lizard tribe was attacked by a giant lizard. The Lizard God died in the battle, the tribe was destroyed, and the tribesmen fled in all directions.

When he came back from hunting, he thought he would see the women and children who would welcome him back, but instead he saw ruins.

How ridiculous that a tribe that believed in lizards was destroyed by giant lizards.

From then on, Lie had no tribe or belonging, and became a refugee.

Fortunately, he is a clerical warrior, and with his professional characteristics, he can avoid danger and survive with difficulty.

Until one day, he was found by several people and taken to a tribe with only a few hundred people.

To his surprise, this tribe was very wealthy. Everyone could eat enough meat and wear clothes made of animal skins.

They even had extra food to feed the refugees.

Out of curiosity, Lie hid his identity as a cleric warrior and joined the tribe. He wanted to know why this small tribe was so wealthy.

Although he cannot use the special skills of a clerical warrior, he still joins the hunting team with his strong body.

However, God played a joke on him again. During a hunting trip, their hunting team encountered a terrifying giant beast.

Chased by the giant beast, they ran desperately.

To be honest, Lie never thought that they would survive. Facing a giant beast of that level, not to mention a small tribe of several hundred people, even the former Lizard tribe might not be able to stop it.

But what happened next made him almost crazy.

They rushed into the abode of the gods, and the gods appeared.

It was a god he had never seen before. It looked very strange. A tree and a skeleton?

The gods and the giant beasts had a great battle, but the terrifying giant beast was no match for this weird god. It had no power to fight back and was beaten until it howled and ran away.

Lie felt as if something was broken in his heart.

After returning to the tribe from the God's Residence, he didn't sleep well for a day. The battle was always repeated in his mind, torturing him.

"No, we can't go on like this! I'm going to talk to God face to face!"

Lie felt that he would drive himself to death if he continued like this, so he asked people in the tribe who was the priest.

The result... turned out not to be...

I really saw a ghost!

A tribe with gods doesn't have its own priest?

However, although there was no priest, he found someone who was similar to the priest, and that was Wan.

Lie begged Wan shamelessly, and finally Wan agreed to his request and went to the abode of the gods to pray for blessings and sacrifices.

Wan took Lie with him, and Lie brought the sacrifice. The two secretly left the tribe and rushed to the residence of God, which is the totem clearing.

There are regulations in the tribe, and the sacrifices are usually led by the old chief, and there are almost no personal sacrifices.

But Wan couldn't stand Lie's shameless attitude, so she had to sneak there with her grandfather on her back.

I believe that the kind God will forgive her.

Arriving at the totem clearing, Wan warned Lie again, telling him not to anger the gods, and then Lie himself went to offer sacrifices.

The fierce sacrifice opened Wan's horizons.

It is completely different from the tribe's sacrificial method, with complicated etiquette.

Of course Wan has never seen it before, because Lie Yong’s etiquette comes from Lizabu.

According to the sacrificial etiquette of the Lizard tribe, Lie did not dare to relax a little. He completed it in a disciplined manner, and finally walked up to the bonfire with a large piece of fresh meat and threw the fresh meat into the fire.

He knelt on the ground, resting his forehead on the wood of the campfire platform, motionless, praying silently in his heart, quietly waiting for God's response.

The god of Lizard is violent, dark, and difficult to get along with, and will kill people if they disagree with him.

Because Lie was a clerical warrior, he had seen the Lizard God many times and was filled with fear deep in his heart.

He didn't know what kind of personality the god of this tribe was like, so he didn't dare to be rude, let alone make any changes, so he could only wait quietly.

"Huh?" Xiaobai in the totem space suddenly raised his head, and he heard a voice, although it was not real.

"System, someone came into the space?" Xiaobai looked around and asked doubtfully.

"It's not that someone is coming in, but that someone is praying to you." the system explained.

"Pray?" Xiaobai blinked, very curious.

He stood up and looked outside through the totem space.

Through the bonfire, he saw a man kneeling on the ground.

As he watched, the voice became clearer. It was indeed this person speaking to him.

"Interesting, he actually wants to see me!" Xiaobai said cheerfully.

"Host, you have to be careful, that is a clerical warrior." The system suddenly reminded.

"What?! Priest warriors?" Xiaobai was shocked. Before he could get the clergy warriors, clergy warriors from other tribes came running over. Is this planning to start a war?

I waited and waited, but no god appeared.

"It seems that my god will not see you anymore. Let's go back." Wan stepped forward and said to Lie regretfully.

"No, please wait, wait some more." Lie stretched out his hand to stop Wan, still kneeling on the ground and not moving.

"Even so, God won't see you!" Wan was a little unhappy, why is this person like this?

"Please stay away from me and let me pray again." Lie insisted.

Wan couldn't persuade Lie, and her strength was not as strong as Lie's, so she had no choice but to step aside.

"God! Please show up, please see me, an abandoned person!" Lie suddenly shouted loudly when he saw Wan retreat.

Along with his voice, his body also changed.

A layer of fine dark green scales covered his whole body, his nails turned black and grew rapidly, like ten sharp knives, and his scarlet tongue quickly expanded and contracted in his mouth.

"Ah!" Wan was stunned, covered her little mouth, and let out a scream.

Monster! Lie is actually not a human!

Although Lie's appearance frightened Wan, she was not worried about being hurt. After all, this was the abode of God.

Lie's appearance is the fighting form of the Lizard Skin Warrior.

When clerical warriors show their fighting form, they will exude the aura of the gods they believe in.

Lie believed that the totem spirit in front of him would definitely feel the aura of the alien god on his body.

He did not show a fighting form at the beginning because the aura of the gods was a disrespectful approach and might lead to the anger of the gods.

But now he no longer cares about so much, he wants to see God!

If I missed this time, I have no idea when I can see it next time.

He must seize this opportunity and see God!
