Chapter 69 Good things

In the Baoquan Tower at the south gate of the capital, women could be heard chatting and laughing.

Although Baoquan Tower is not as luxurious as several famous shops in the city, it is better than outside the city gate. It has a large place, good buildings, and a quiet garden. It is a good place to cool off in summer.

With a flick of the fishing rod, the girls around Chen Shiba Niang suddenly laughed happily.

"Another one, another one." They clapped their hands and laughed.

Watching Chen Shiba Niang put a fish into a small porcelain basin, there were already two or three large and small fish swimming in it.

Chen Danniang stamped her feet.

"Stop arguing." She said unhappily, "You have scared away Sister Cheng's fish."

The girls all covered their mouths and giggled, looking at Cheng Jiaoniang who was sitting upright here.

She was the one who suggested fishing. Half an hour later, she was sitting as straight as a pine tree, without even lifting the fishing rod.

"Sister Cheng, why don't we change places and the fish here will be full?" Chen Danniang suggested in a low voice.

"No need." Cheng Jiaoniang said.

Chen Danniang turned from one side to the other, looking at the empty porcelain basin, and then at Chen Danniang's side, where the girls were chatting and laughing around.

"But Shiba Niang has caught a lot more fish." She couldn't help but say again.

"I didn't want to go fishing originally," Cheng Jiaoniang said.

Chen Danniang frowned in confusion.

"Sister, didn't you say you wanted to go fishing?" she asked.

Banqin, who was sitting on a stone playing with flower ropes, stopped for a moment.

"When the lady talks about fishing, it's not for the fish, it's for the fishing." She smiled.

The maid reached out and took the rope and pulled out a flower.

"Have you ever played before?" she asked.

Banqin couldn't help but laugh.

Not only did I play it, it even scared a young man in my family to the point where he thought he had encountered a ghost and almost died.

As they spoke, there was another burst of cheers from Chen Shiba Niang's side. Chen Danniang stamped her feet unconvinced and turned around to see several sisters and brothers sitting in a pavilion drinking tea.

"Brother Sixteen." She thought of something and shouted.

A young man with a handsome face wearing a green cloth shirt stopped talking and looked over. He first saw Chen Danniang, and then Cheng Jiaoniang, who was sitting with her back to the side.

"Brother Sixteen, come and help us." Chen Danniang shouted waving her little hand.

The young man hesitated a little, and the sisters and brothers next to him all laughed.

"Sixteen, go quickly. Madam Cheng is here, and Madam Nineteen wants to help. It can be seen that we are in big trouble." They said.

The young man then raised his feet and came over.

"What's wrong?" he asked, stopping a few steps away.

Chen Danniang ran over and pulled him towards the pool.

"Brother Shiliu, you are a good fisher. Please help us." She said, "The fish are weird today. They never take the bait."

The young man had no choice but to be pulled forward and stood beside Cheng Jiaoniang.

When the woman noticed the person coming, she raised her head and looked over.

The sunlight is dappled under the shade of the trees, and the big eyes shine like jumping sunlight.

The young man quickly looked away.

"Well, how can this help?" he said, "Nothing else, just be patient."

Cheng Jiaoniang raised her hand and closed the pole.

Chen Danniang was overjoyed. Before her cheers ended, she saw the empty fishhook and immediately cheered again.

"I have patience, but I have trouble getting the fish to take the bait." Cheng Jiaoniang said, handing the fishing rod to the young man.

The young man blushed slightly and reached out to take it.

"Actually, there's no secret. It's just to make a nest and set the hook..." He said, bending down, pinching the bait and throwing it out, then swinging the rod and setting the hook.

Chen Danniang smiled happily.

Cheng Jiaoniang also watched carefully.

People are looking at the fishing rod and not themselves, so why panic?

The young man noticed the fine sweat on his nose.

Bodhisattva bless, Bodhisattva bless.

"Wow."

Chen Danniang's cheers came, and Chen Shiba Niang looked over with a smile and saw a big fish making splashes on the pole that the young man had lifted.

Cheng Jiaoniang also smiled.

"It's really amazing," she said.

The young man breathed a sigh of relief and felt a little embarrassed.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." He said.

Chen Danniang waited excitedly as the girls put the fish into the porcelain basin.

"We are great, we are great." She clapped her hands and shouted, waving her hands proudly to Chen Shiba Niang, "One of our fish is worth five of yours."

"You three are definitely better than me." Chen Shiba Niang said with a smile.

"Of course not, this young master is so powerful on his own." Cheng Jiaoniang said, looking at the young man in front of her again.

She only went to Chen's house a few times, and they were always at the old Mr. Chen's place. She didn't recognize Chen Shiba Niang's sisters and brothers, so naturally she didn't know how to call them.

"This is the sixteenth young master of the fourth master's family." said the girl Linghui at the side.

Upon hearing this, the Sixteenth Young Master hurriedly bowed his head and saluted.

Cheng Jiaoniang returned the courtesy.

These etiquettes are not unfamiliar to the children of the Chen family. They are taught by their parents' words and deeds on a daily basis, plus special teachings from their husband after enlightenment, and various etiquette studies are continued throughout their schooling career.

This is also why everyone has their own etiquette. They have their own etiquette in dealing with people, words and deeds. They are not deliberate but understand it. Not everyone in the world can do it.

But this woman is said to have been stupid since she was a child, but her etiquette in dealing with others is thoughtful. Every word and deed she makes is no doubt that the men and women she comes into contact with on a daily basis are average, and even more tolerant.

"The story of the Qiting Temple and the Qiting Monument is very good," she said.

Since she recovered from forgetfulness, her memory has been very good and she can never forget anything.

On that day, accompanied by the children of the Chen family and stopping at the temple, there was this young man.

This young lady, who seemed to be unapproachable and unpredictable from thousands of miles away, actually remembered him. The young man was overjoyed and his face lit up.

"I don't dare, I don't dare, it's just a little trick, a little trick." He murmured again.

"Young Master knows so many little tricks, that's really impressive." The maid couldn't help but chimed in and laughed.

Seeing you talking to each other and not mentioning the fish anymore, Chen Shiba Niang over there couldn't help but smile, her eyes turned to her brother and Cheng Jiao Niang, and her heart couldn't help but jump.

At this time, she was not the only one whose heart skipped a beat. The two sisters-in-law of the Chen family walking on the other side happened to see this scene.

Mr. Chen Si’s wife narrowed her eyes slightly.

To cool off in the summer, the two sisters sat down in a pavilion, leaving only the girl next to them, while the others went to play. It was very refreshing to sit down by the pool and enjoy the cool breeze.

The girls and boys fishing by the pond dispersed, and faint laughter could be heard from the other side of the garden.

"Sister-in-law, I asked you before, has the wife of the Cheng family not said goodbye yet?" Mrs. Chen Si asked suddenly, waving her fan.

Mrs. Chen Shao glanced at her.

Such a woman had been stupidly ill for the past few years, so how could she talk about getting married? Who would be willing to talk about getting married to her?

She understood what Mrs. Chen Si meant very well.

If Cheng Jiaoniang asked her to thank her and cherish her, if a woman could agree on a good marriage, she would be stable in her life. She would also think of this woman when planning her children's marriage.

I wonder how this woman’s parents planned this woman’s lifelong events?

It would be nice if you could find someone who knows the basics.

It's just that this lady has some...

"Aren't you kidding?" she asked with a smile.

The children's laughter came closer, interrupting their conversation.

"Let's talk after we go back." Mrs. Chen Si said, looking at the young girls who came together, "Sit down and rest, let's eat now."

In the afternoon, after saying goodbye to everyone in the Chen family, Cheng Jiaoniang entered the house. There was a knock on the wall next door, and then the young man leaned out and smiled at Cheng Jiaoniang in the yard.

The maid and Banqin were used to it, and they went about their own business.

"Are you very busy recently?" Prince Jin'an said, "You have been absent several times. If you don't come back today, I will have no choice but to leave."

"Yes, I've been a little busy lately." Cheng Jiaoniang said, looking at him, "Do you have anything to do with me?"

Prince Jin'an smiled.

"No, I just came out and didn't know anyone else, and I didn't have anywhere to go. I just know you and wanted to come and see you." He said, thinking of something and raising his eyebrows, "Oh, are you busy?

Blind date? Which family did you mention? Let me check it out for you."

Cheng Jiaoniang shook her head.

"No," she said, "I'm busy opening stores, and now I have two more stores."

"Open a shop?" Prince Jin'an was even more curious and leaned forward, "Can you still do business?"

"No." Cheng Jiaoniang said, "But I will find someone who can do business."

Prince Jin'an laughed loudly and nodded repeatedly.

"I'm busy too. These days, I've memorized two more volumes of books." He said with a bit of pride.

"That's really amazing." Cheng Jiaoniang nodded and said.

The prince of Jin'an County smiled even more.

"Since we all have happy events, why don't we celebrate it?" he said.

celebrate?

How to celebrate?

The maid put down the clothes in her hands and saw it.

Jin Geer, a half-servant maid, was busy in the yard and kept chattering.

The young man was no longer on the wall.

"Have you ever made a Kongming Lantern before?"

A young man's voice came from the other side of the wall.

Cheng Jiaoniang's hand holding the bamboo grate stopped for a moment.

"I can't remember, but I must have done it," she said.

"Because you can do it, right?" the voice on the other side of the wall asked.

"Yes." Cheng Jiaoniang replied, her hands moving smoothly.

"I haven't done it," said the boy on the other side of the wall, "but I remember my mother did it for me when I was a child, but I was too young and can't remember it anymore."

"Then we can't even remember it," Cheng Jiaoniang said.

There was laughter from the other side of the wall.

"Yes, we really have the same problem," the young man said.

The maid curled her lips. She was really baffled. How could anyone put out Kongming lanterns in broad daylight? It seemed that this disciple was really sick.

The afternoon sun was scorching, and the streets were crowded with people. The people squatting under the shade of the trees at the bridgehead suddenly let out a sigh.

"Look, someone is setting off a Kongming lantern over there."

With a shout, more people looked over and saw two Kongming lanterns swaying side by side in a house not far away.

Because it was still bright, it looked a little weird.

"Which family's children are naughty?"

Everyone quickly looked away. Kongming lanterns are not a rare thing.

Cheng Jiaoniang stood in the yard, looking up at the Kongming Lantern that was rising higher and higher and gradually drifting away.

"Who are you praying for?"

The boy's voice came from the other side of the wall.

Cheng Jiaoniang looked into the sky.

"I don't know." she said.

There is laughter over there.

"What a coincidence." The young man said, "I didn't know either."

There was a period of silence on this side and that side of the wall, and the Kongming Lantern in the sky gradually faded away, and soon became invisible in the bright sky during the day.

The gate of the academy also opened at this time, and the students rushed out, like birds emerging from a cage that had been imprisoned for a long time.

"Fourth Young Master, we can finally go out for a walk." The boy shouted happily, while looking back at the academy under the shade of greenery, with lingering fear, "Mr. Jiangzhou is too scary, I hope he won't do this again next time

After giving lessons, locking people up for ten and a half days would be life-threatening."

"How are you talking?" Cheng Silang glared and scolded, "I'm disrespectful to you sir."

The boy stuck out his tongue.

"How many people want to be locked up like this?" Cheng Silang said, "If I hadn't gone to the streets to buy some supplies, I wouldn't have left the academy and continued studying."

The last sentence frightened the boy. He immediately admitted his mistake and didn't dare to say anything more. He was afraid that if he really turned around and went back, he would really choke to death.

"Shiro!"

A voice came from the side of the road, with a familiar accent. In the midst of the commotion, Cheng Shiro's master and servant subconsciously looked over, and were stunned for a moment.

There was a carriage parked under the shade of a tree on the roadside, and a young man jumped out, waving a folding fan.

"Didn't you say that the capital is prosperous? Why did you come to such a desolate and remote place? Make it easy for me to find you."

The young master frowned and complained.

Cheng Silang looked at him in disbelief and came back to his senses after hearing these words.

"You, you, Shi Qi, why are you here?" he shouted.
