Chapter Eighteen

When the palace servants were ordered to leave the palace, Cheng Jiaoniang had already eaten and started writing as usual, but she was sitting in the living room because there was no study room for her here.

The maid meets the servants of the palace outside and is familiar with the household affairs of the palace.

After all the words were said, the maid couldn't help but fan herself with her hand, and Banqin next to her immediately fanned her.

"Sister Banqin worked hard," she said.

The maid chuckled.

"Sister Banqin, isn't this harder than being a shopkeeper outside?" Banqin said again.

"It's not hard work." The maid smiled and said, "Ask them clearly who does what, and let them do what else. That's it. We just talk."

While he was talking, a servant girl came over.

"Sister Banqin," she said.

The maid and Banqin both subconsciously responded.

This made the servant girl stunned for a moment, and Banqin also stuck out her tongue and smiled.

"The study that Madam asked for has been tidied up. Sister, let's see how it goes." the maid asked hurriedly.

"You still have to move your legs." Banqin patted the maid's shoulder with her fan and said with a smile.

The maid also smiled and raised her feet to take a look, but Cheng Jiaoniang called her inside.

"Madam, what's the matter?" the maid came into the room and asked.

Cheng Jiaoniang stopped the pen in her hand and looked at her.

"What's your name?" she asked.

The maid was startled and her face changed.

"Madam, what are you going to do?" she asked, "Don't drive me away."

The voice of the maid who was chatting and laughing in front of the servants of the palace was already trembling.

Cheng Jiaoniang smiled.

"I didn't know how long you would be with me," she said.

The maid looked at her with tears in her eyes.

Yes, she replaced the original girl beside the lady, and that girl was replaced by Banqin.

"So I don't deliberately remember you." Cheng Jiaoniang continued, looking at her and smiling slightly.

She smiled, but the maid's tears fell.

This is obviously nothing, but why do I feel like crying when I hear it?

If you don’t remember the loss, you won’t be sad, right?

"Now it seems that you have nowhere else to go." Cheng Jiaoniang continued.

The maid laughed again, tears still falling.

Yes, probably no one would dare to ask the lady for a girl now. She will stay with the lady forever.

"So, what's your name?" Cheng Jiaoniang asked.

The maid wiped away her tears, sat upright, smiled at Cheng Jiaoniang, and leaned forward to salute.

"I'm so sincere, I've seen my lady before," she said.

"Su Xin." Cheng Jiaoniang read it over and over, then nodded, "Go and do your work."

Suxin salutes and responds yes.

"Su Xin." Banqin, who was standing outside the door, shouted.

Su Xin looked at her with questioning eyes.

"Su Xin." Banqin called again with a smile.

Su Xin understood, smiled angrily at her, raised her head and looked at the servant girl waiting in the yard.

"Let's go." She said energetically.

Compared to the happy atmosphere in the new house, the atmosphere in Prince Jin'an's courtyard was tense.

"Is there any other way?" Mr. Gu stopped and asked.

Doctor Li raised his hand to wipe his sweat.

"I was thinking about that," he said.

Mr. Gu then walked around again, while the chamberlain knelt beside the couch and held a hot towel and kept covering Prince Jin'an's shoulders and chest.

Prince Jin'an was asleep, his upper body naked, and the bruises on his shoulders and chest were clearly visible.

"It was pinched by hand." The waiter couldn't help but choked and said, "How could you be so cruel?"

"You're still asking?" Mr. Gu raised his eyebrows and said, "Her hands can break someone's neck! Are you cruel?"

The waiter bowed his head.

"My poor Highness, why are you doing this..." he murmured.

"Your Highness is to blame?" Mr. Gu heard this and became even more annoyed, "It wasn't your idea! As soon as this person came, he regarded her as a supporter. His Highness had not been good in the past, so he didn't rely on her either?..."

Just as he was talking, Dr. Li from outside came in.

"Why not, let's ask Madam..." he said.

"...Li Sishen!"

Mr. Gu's roar echoed in the room.

The Queen Mother's chamberlain came in at this time and interrupted the noise. He first came in to see Prince Jin'an.

"Oh my God, why is Your Highness like this?" The chamberlain stretched out his hand to wipe away his tears, then looked back at the people in the room with a bit of severity, "Didn't you say it's better? What's going on?"

People knelt on the ground.

"It's the slaves who are useless." They leaned over and said.

The waiter looked at Cheng Jiaoniang.

Cheng Jiaoniang stood quietly, seemingly not hearing what he said.

"There is nothing we can do about it. Your Highness is not in good health." The chamberlain changed his words and saluted Cheng Jiaoniang, "That's why the empress conferred the title of Madam and Princess in advance."

Cheng Jiaoniang then knelt down and saluted.

"Thank you, Queen Mother." She kowtowed and then reached out to take the gold book, seal and other items handed over by the chamberlain.

"Then the princess and the old slave should go into the palace to express their gratitude," the chamberlain said.

Cheng Jiaoniang responded yes.

"Please wait a moment, father-in-law," she said.

Seeing the princess changing into a full dress and getting into a car to leave with her servants, everyone in the prince's palace turned around.

"Why can't you be canonized in advance?" Mr. Gu said with a frown.

"It's just for the sake of celebration, so it's appropriate to go earlier," said an aide.

Mr. Gu shook his head.

"If it was really for the sake of happiness, then I wouldn't have waited so long on the wedding day." He said, frowning as he watched the carriage go away, "Is there anyone in the palace to take care of you?"

A chamberlain came over and nodded.

"There are still some." He whispered, "Although it is difficult to be close to the Queen Mother, it is still possible to send news and messages."

Mr. Gu exhaled.

"She's not very powerful. It's best to be able to protect herself." He said with a snort. He turned back and looked at Doctor Li in the room, "And you, Doctor Li, you'd better not wait to rely on me."

Who, hurry up and find a way to make His Highness get better!"

Doctor Li responded helplessly.

"Let's go, I'll change the medicine." He said, greeting the child.

The child and two chamberlains responded yes.

……………………………………………………

In the palace, Cheng Jiaoniang saluted the Queen Mother to thank her.

The Queen Mother did not speak, and the palace lady beside her took a scroll and read out a list of women's rules in a precise manner.

Cheng Jiaoniang once again bowed and thanked the Queen Mother for her teaching.

"They say you have good medical skills." The Queen Mother slowly spoke, emphasizing the words "du" and "good", sounding full of ridicule.

Cheng Jiaoniang lowered her head to listen to her words.

"...The Prince of Jin'an County has begged Your Majesty and agreed to this marriage. You must not let him down. You must serve him well and let him take good care of himself..."

Cheng Jiaoniang responded yes.

"... Weilang has been in poor health since he was a child. He was young when he entered the palace and was spoiled and difficult to raise. From time to time, he feels uncomfortable here and there. The Ai family spent a lot of effort to raise him..."

The Queen Mother said, remembering the past as she spoke.

It seemed as if a child was rushing in front of me, and then grew up step by step, and finally became a young man with a beautiful tree facing the wind, smiling brightly at himself.

"Your Majesty, I just love to play here..."

"Your Majesty, the food here is the most delicious..."

The Queen Mother's tears immediately flowed down.

"Your Majesty!" The waiter on the side knelt down and shouted.

"Weilang is the most beloved person in the Ai family. You must treat him well." The Queen Mother cried.

Cheng Jiaoniang glanced at her and leaned over to salute.

"Yes, this is my duty as a concubine," she said.

"My dear, don't cry, this is a great event." The servant persuaded with a smile, and handed the towel to her, "The imperial doctor has said, you can't cry. If something goes wrong with you, Your Highness

But I miss you very much."

If something bad happens to you, His Highness the County Prince will have to worry about things that he shouldn't worry about.

The Queen Mother understood this reminder, took the towel to wipe her tears, and waved her hand to Cheng Jiao Niang.

"This is a great joy. You go and see His Majesty to make him happy," she said.

Cheng Jiaoniang responded and stood up to leave.

When I went to see His Majesty, I naturally went to see the Queen. When she saw Cheng Jiaoniang walking in, the Queen couldn't hide her surprise.

"The Queen Mother asked you to come?" she asked.

The queen looked at the chamberlain who did not follow her.

"She is now guarding you and me as much as she is guarding against thieves, and she actually asked you to come here?" She said, "The Queen Mother doesn't know that she can't get involved in my house."

Cheng Jiaoniang said oh.

"That's probably because I feel like there's no need to be on guard," she said.

No need to be on guard?

The queen frowned, and then she suddenly stood up as she thought of something.

"No!" she blurted out.

………………………………………………………………..

"alright."

Doctor Li looked at the medicine pot that had calmed down the boiling water and said while standing up.

This time I have used new medicine and a new method of boiling with civil and military fire. It should be effective, at least to replenish some energy and wake me up.

The child picked up the medicine pot and poured the medicine into a bowl.

A waiter who was already waiting quickly reached out and took it.

"Let's go." Dr. Li said.

After turning around the small pharmacy and passing through the short corridor, we arrived at the house of Prince Jin'an.

"Where is Eunuch Jing?" Doctor Li asked as he stepped through the door.

There were only two chamberlains and two maids in the house, and there was no Eunuch Jing who always stayed here.

"Mr. Gu just called me," the maid said.

Doctor Li nodded, and the maids hurriedly helped Prince Jin'an up. One of the chamberlains picked up the crane-mouthed pot, and the little chamberlain holding the medicine came forward and slowly fed the medicine to Prince Jin'an.

"Okay, you guys watch carefully here and call me immediately if you wake up." Dr. Li said, "I will prepare some more medicine."

The chambermaid responded yes.

Eunuch Jing walked into the door and looked at the two maids and chambermaids sitting in front of the couch, kneeling on their knees and carefully placing ice basins.

"Where is Dr. Li? Haven't you prepared the medicine yet?" he asked with a frown.

"His Highness has already been fed." The maid hurriedly said, "The imperial doctor is preparing medicine again."

Eunuch Jing then relaxed his brows and nodded, looking at the hanging curtain.

"Doctor Li said he might wake up." A waiter said hurriedly.

Eunuch Jin couldn't help but stepped over and stretched out his hand to lift the curtain.

"Your Highness?" He called in a low voice as he looked over. His face suddenly changed at this sight, and he knelt down with a thud.

"Your Highness? Your Highness!"

He stretched out his hand and rushed over, grabbing the body of Prince Jin'an. His tentacles were cold and stiff.

No!

Eunuch Jinggong suddenly let go of his hand, and he fell backwards.

"Your Highness!"

Sharp shouts rang out inside the room.

Dr. Li was coming in with medicine in his hands, and his hands shook in fright at the shout.

A little butler rolled out from the room.

"Your Highness is dead! Your Highness is dead!" he shouted in a heart-breaking voice.

dead…

With a snap, the medicine bowl in Doctor Li's hand fell to the ground and shattered.
