Chapter 478 I am the Tao!

Fahai understood what Jigong meant.

Jigong told him that this debate is just a competition between you and Feng Zhou, and it does not care about the dispute between Buddhism and Taoism.

You are now involved in this layer of karma for nothing. No matter you win or lose, it will not help your practice. On the contrary, it will only encourage your desire for fame and wealth.

As long as you let go of your ego and transcend cause and effect, you can escape from reincarnation in an instant and achieve Arhat status.

At that time, Fa Hai can become a saint in his physical body and become one of the Five Hundred Arhats.

And Jigong can use his words to drink up the power of the sea of Dharma. When he returns to Lingshan, he will sit in the Bodhisattva seat and be revered as the Bodhisattva Subduing the Dragon.

Of course, Jigong has gained a deep understanding of Buddhism and practiced profoundly. He no longer has the image of self or Bodhisattva in his heart.

But the sea of dharma in front of us is limited by our own ego, and it is difficult to transcend it.

"Amitabha." Fahai clasped his hands together and bowed to Jigong: "It is the nature of Buddhism to destroy demons and demons. It is said that if I don't go to hell, who will go to hell. The poor monk's original heart is immortal and his ego is restless. He can only end the cause and effect.

, only then can we see through impermanence.”

He refused Jigong's enlightenment.

It means that he has not seen through my appearance and cannot transcend me.

Only by surrendering Bai Suzhen and turning him into a Buddhist disciple can he transcend life and death and see through impermanence.

Otherwise, even if Jigong, the Arhat who subdued the dragon, gave him a heads-up, Fahai would still maintain his original intention.

Logically speaking, Fahai's behavior is obviously stubborn and will make it difficult to become a Buddha.

But Jigong nodded, laughed, clasped his hands towards Fa Hai, and then floated away.

Because Fa Hai was generating worldly bodhicitta just now.

The first thing a practitioner should do is to arouse worldly bodhicitta, save boundless sentient beings for cultivation, and use the aroused bodhicitta to tame his own mind anytime and anywhere.

After you have made the intention, you must dedicate. Dedicating means using the merits you have cultivated to seek the goal of your wish. It means turning the merits, wisdom, good deeds, and good knowledge you have cultivated, not wanting to keep them to yourself, but turning them around.

Go back and share it with all living beings in the Dharma Realm, so as to broaden your mind and make your merits have a clear direction and not be lost.

The more profound the Bodhicitta is, the more difficult it is to dedicate, and the more merit is required. If the goal of Bodhicitta is achieved, even if it is partially achieved, the practice will be more advanced.

Generating bodhicitta is an important starting point for Buddhist practice, and dedication is a very important practice skill in the process of Buddhist practice.

In addition to making dedications, practitioners must also practice the six perfections of Bodhisattva, which are generosity, precepts, patience, diligence, meditation, and prajna, so that they can reach the other shore step by step.

From a broad perspective, this is the method of Buddhist practice. Of course, the details are quite complicated, so I won’t go into details.

From this point of view, compared with practicing Taoism, Buddhist practice is full of barriers. The more you practice, the more you become unlovable, but it is not as refreshing as practicing Taoism.

But in fact, there is no dogmatism in Buddhist practice. You can become a Buddha by practicing rigidly like Monk Tang, and you can become a Buddha by drinking wine, eating meat, and scolding Buddha and ancestors like Jigong did.

As long as he can subdue the mental ape, control the mental horse, and create great merits for all sentient beings in the world, even if he only subdues the little white snake, Fahai will still be able to achieve Arhat status.

After Fa Hai said this, Jigong naturally understood his grand wish and naturally drifted away.

Feng Zhou looked at Jigong from a distance, who was humming a song and waving a broken fan as he walked away. His face was solemn, and he didn't know what he was thinking in his heart.

The time came soon, and the Minister of Rites of the Song Dynasty, surrounded by people from both sides, slowly walked onto the stage with a solemn expression.

Just as he was about to speak, a sharp and thin voice suddenly came from a distance: "The Emperor has arrived!"

This shout suppressed the voice that the Minister of Rites was about to speak. He and the officials around him quickly got off the debate platform, bowed and registered to greet the emperor.

As the sound rang out, a slightly chaotic queue sounded. Teams of Imperial Guards, wearing beautiful armor, lined up and approached the sutra debate platform.

As a Lin'an citizen, he was no stranger to military affairs. Although he was slightly panicked, he quickly calmed down.

"The Emperor has arrived!"

Following the orders, the people knelt on the ground and shouted, "Long live the mountain."

The Minister of Rites ran quickly to greet him. After a while, the emperor entered the scene surrounded by the ministers in front of the palace.

Feng Zhou glanced at them from a high place and felt that this team was more than good-looking but not murderous. They were just like donkey dung and eggs.

It seems that Wang Chongyang and Xin Qiji's entry into the Palace Division may not be of any use except to hone their qualifications.

After saying hello to the Minister of Rites, Zhao Gou sat down again and looked at the monks and Taoists on the high platform. His eyes fell on Feng Zhou and stayed for a while before saying: "After the debate on the meaning of Buddhism, Taoism and Classics, we have finished

Six hundred years. It is a major event for the country. This debate on Buddhism and Taoism is just for me to take a look and not to judge. You can continue."

As soon as these words came out, everyone was silent.

Who doesn't know that you, an official of the Great Song Dynasty, have a very good relationship with Fengzhou, a Taoist family? This time, on the surface, they are not helping each other, but anyone with a discerning eye can see at a glance that the official family is a Taoist.

If we really can't help each other, you shouldn't come.

Shady, big shady!

For a moment, all the monks on the high platform looked solemn.

But they didn't pay much attention.

After all, Buddhism has a large number of people, so it is impossible to lose this debate no matter what. At most, it will be a draw in the end without any pain, but Buddhism can be spread all over the world.

Oh, by the way, this time it’s a duel between Feng Zhou and Fa Hai.

But it doesn’t matter. When that time comes, why don’t we let the living people speak?

"Amitabha!" The monks chanted the Buddha's name.

"Infinite Heavenly Lord!" Several Taoist priests also chanted in low voices.

At this time, the emperor was sitting on the throne, and the Minister of Rites announced that the debate meeting had officially begun. Feng Zhou had a lot of thoughts in his mind, but he didn't care.

He encouraged the emperor to hold a debate conference, but it was never against Buddhism.

But it was aimed at Fahai.

As long as the matter is settled on the secular dispute between Buddhism and Taoism, it will prevent the gods and Buddhas from all over the world from helping and carrying out dimensionality reduction attacks.

When Monk Tang traveled to the west, those gods frequently took action.

Of course, through this conference, Feng Zhou will become a legend all over the world, absorb a huge amount of power of faith, and achieve supreme supernatural powers. Therefore, this debate conference is Feng Zhou’s stage, and he, Feng Zhenren, will be the only protagonist.

, he should be the one who gets the greatest benefit, so if Fa Hai does not retreat, it will only benefit him, and there will be no harm to him.

At this time, the Minister of Rites spoke a lot and announced the start of the debate.

Fa Hai recited a Buddhist chant in a low voice and stood up.

He is the head of Jinshan Temple. He has been in charge for fifty years. He has annexed countless lands, bought countless businesses, and accumulated endless wealth. He has studied countless Buddhist classics. My sister has never debated with fellow Buddhists.

Lost.

Even if Arhat Subdues the Dragon gives him a blow, his Fahai can fight back. So you are a young Taoist priest, how can a poor monk be afraid of you?

The poor monk must use this conference to kick you, the stumbling block, aside, and then while waiting for him, he must subdue Bai Suzhen, and save this demon properly, so that the cause and effect of more than a thousand years can be calmed down.

"May I ask Master Feng, what is Tao?" Fa Hai asked.

Feng Zhou smiled lightly: "I am the Tao!"

Fahai was startled, and couldn't help but feel a little at a loss.

Why doesn't this little Taoist follow the routine?

You know, when ordinary Taoists debate, they will talk a lot about how Tao generates one, one creates two, two generates three, and three generates all things.

Fa Hai has one hundred and eight ways to create loopholes and counterattack.

But Feng Zhou opened his mouth and said, "I am the Tao", which directly resolved his one hundred and eight counterattack strategies.

"It seems that this little Taoist priest is not simple!" Fahai sighed slightly in his heart, but with an indifferent smile on his face: "Master Feng Taoist, if you are the Taoist, who is the Tao before you?"

"Zen Master Fahai asked the wrong question." Feng Zhou chuckled: "I am the Tao. Before me, I am still the Tao. After me, I am still the Tao."

"Huh?" Fa Hai opened his mouth and was slightly startled.
