One feature of these uneven relief murals is that the surface is filled with light gray smoke. The smoke is hazy and has some fairy spirit. It seems to bring the battlefield scene above to life, and all the characters emerge.
Come out and act out what really happened in history~~~
There are many soldiers wearing armor in these pictures. I don’t know why, but I always feel that they are different from ordinary people. They are either riding horses and holding spears, or standing on the ground with halberds in their hands, but they have one very obvious characteristic.
, that is, almost everyone is holding a bunch of heads in their hands.
Those soldiers all wore heavy metal helmets, and their faces could not be seen, but they could still feel that they were very proud, as if these heads were honorable decorations to them, and they felt no pity or sin at all!
On each mural, there is a man wearing heavy armor. His armor is different from others, with high bulges on his shoulders and a blade-like arc on his helmet, which looks heavy and scary.
He was holding a huge long sword in his hand, riding on a war horse, standing proudly among the soldiers, with a mask on his face, and a series of heads tied to his horse.
The enemies in front were very afraid of him. When they saw him, they looked like they saw a ghost. They all took off their armor and fled in panic. But Chen Zhi could see clearly. The giant sword was carved very clearly, just like Asuo.
The handles on my back are exactly the same now...
Chen Zhi looked at these stone screen reliefs side by side, as if looking at those war scenes forgotten by history. They turned out to be so majestic and cruel, completely different from what was whitewashed in history books.
But on almost every stone screen, there are a few lines of text written in Old Qin style, and the content is very clear~~~
It was a poem written by Ying Ji, the king of the Qin Kingdom at that time, for Bai Qi. The content was very exaggerated and full of praise. It praised Bai Qi's military talents as unparalleled in the world, and said that Bai Qi's military skills were unparalleled.
It's unpredictable, even if you gather the best of hundreds of experts, you can't compare it to one thing.
The words used are flattering to the extreme, even to the point of disgusting, making people feel numb~~~
In front of a special stone screen, Chen Zhi suddenly stopped, because this stone screen was a little special. There were no characters or war scenes on it, only an ancient map.
But there are a lot of words on it, more than a few thousand words densely engraved, all of which were dictated by Qin Xiang Wang Ying Ji. Among them, he called himself Bai Qi's brother Wang, saying that he was an ignorant person and that many wars depended on him.
My younger brother Bai Qi.
In these texts, in addition to describing Bai Qi's bravery and invincibility in the battle, most of them are explanations for the killing of 400,000 Zhao people during the Battle of Changping, saying that the army was in urgent need of food at the time and this was a helpless move~~

Then, he mentioned the city that disappeared overnight in history, Yancheng!
Yancheng was the second largest capital of the Chu State, with a prosperous economy and a dense population, but it suddenly disappeared overnight. The whole story of this incident has been recorded in the history of Chinese civilization and will never be forgotten...
…
In the thirty-sixth year of King Nan of the Zhou Dynasty, Bai Qi led tens of thousands of troops eastward along the Han River, captured important towns along the coast, plundered the abundant grain and grass in the Han River Basin to supply military supplies, and unexpectedly broke into the Chu territory.
In order to boost morale, Bai Qi ordered the Qin army to dismantle the bridges, burn the ships, and cut off their own way back after crossing the river, thus expressing their confidence in fighting to the death.
Under this momentum, the Qin army marched straight in with overwhelming momentum, quickly attacked and occupied Deng, Chu's important place in the Han River Basin, and reached Biduyan in Chu.
Yancheng is very close to Ying, the capital of the Chu State. It is an important military town that defends the capital of Ying. It is an important city that the Chu State will never abandon. The Chu people have already assembled heavy troops in Yancheng in an attempt to prevent the Qin army from going south to attack Ying.
So when the Qin army was in Yancheng, it encountered the strongest resistance since it entered the Chu territory.
So Bai Qi had a sudden idea and took advantage of the favorable conditions of the Yi River flowing from the long valley of the Western Chu Mountain to the southeast. He built a dike a hundred miles west of Yan City to store water, and built a long canal directly to Yan City.
The flood engulfed Yan City, and more than 500,000 people in the city were drowned, but the Qin army did not waste a single soldier.
King Qin Xiang tried his best to explain this battle in his writings, claiming that the Qin State could not bear to put hundreds of thousands of Chu people in floods, so he sent people to beat drums in the mountains many times, saying that the Qin army was going to release water to massacre the city, so that
The people left quickly, but no one in Chu believed it at that time, and no one was willing to leave Yancheng. In the end, they and Yancheng were buried in the flood overnight.
King Qin Xiang regretted this incident very much, and said that Bai Qi had no choice but to do so. After Yancheng was flooded, Bai Qi was depressed and did not want to eat or drink for several days.
A large-scale massacre was whitewashed into an achievement!
"You humans have a saying that I think makes it very clear!",
Baike also stood in front of the map at this time, smiled and said to Chen Zhi:
"You human beings say that if you don't talk about the matter of becoming a marquis, one general will make thousands of bones wither. I think this is the most honest sentence!
Soldiers on the battlefield are meant to kill people. No matter how nice the story is to cover up, aren't they still killing people in the end?
But these soldiers killed people and were called massacres by later generations. What about the king? What should the king be called?
You humans always say that the king is benevolent and the king is merciful to his people, but sometimes you are deceived by traitors, as if there really is a benevolent monarch in this world.
Actually, let me tell you, how can a monarch be benevolent? It’s really ridiculous...
Don’t forget, in that era, military merit was calculated based on the number of heads killed, and those who failed to achieve merit would have their arms cut off. The person who made this rule was the king himself!
Haha~~~"
"strangeness……",
Chen Zhi's eyes had been staring at the ancient map, and he didn't seem to listen carefully to Bai Ke's words. Finally, he measured the distance between the two mountain ranges with his fingers.
"How could water being released in such a location go unnoticed~~~, unless the people in Yancheng were all deaf at that time.
It says that the Qin army beat drums in the mountains before releasing the water to warn the people of Yancheng that this was simply impossible!"
"It's impossible..., why should we warn them?",
Bai Ke looked at the map and smiled, then looked at Chen Zhi with his blood-red eyes,
"Let me tell you a secret. There was actually no need to flood the city at that time. We could have taken a detour and then returned to attack Yan City. There was no need to drown all the people in the city.
But just like how he killed 400,000 Zhao people during the Battle of Changping, Bai Qi still did it.
