Chapter 83: Education (3)

Fat Wei then gave many examples of the unkind and unjust things that relied on Buddhism, many of which sounded outrageous and even horrifying.

The monkey kept listening intently, his eyes flashing, and he seemed to be thinking in his mind.

"Amitabha!" Danxuan suddenly interrupted Pang Wei's words. He held the Buddhist beads and said in a confident voice,

"The poor monk also heard what the donor just said. To be precise, the poor monk may know more than the donor.

The truth seen may be more cruel than what the donor saw.

But the donor himself said just now,

That's wrong!

Since you know it is wrong, why should you believe it?"

"Why believe it?

It's because I believe in Buddhism that I believe in it." When Fat Wei mentioned this, he actually got a little angry.

"I have heard our elders say before that when they went to work in Tibet before liberation, the local lamas were amazing.

Those lamas treat people like beasts and dare to do anything. They also keep saying that this is the wish of the Buddha. Anyone who doesn't listen will fall into the eighteenth level of hell.

Including those Buddha mothers and so on, are you willing to be those little girls?

She was not suppressed by the name of the Buddha. She thought it was the Buddha who asked her to do it, so she just obeyed!"

"Do we have to obey the Buddha's wishes?" Danxuan said, twirling the beads.

"No, you...", Fat Wei didn't know what to say and got stuck.

"You are not a master, this is not what a Buddhist should say!

As a Buddhist disciple, shouldn’t you listen to what the Buddha says?”

"What did the Buddha say? Haha, why did the Buddha say that?",

Dan Xuan smiled and replied,

"Buddhists never like idols. Buddhism is righteous and does not like to be puppeted.

But human beings always like to worship idols and always do contradictory things.

As long as it is the wish of the idol, no matter whether it is right or wrong, you must obey it. Even if you don't want to in your heart, you must obey it!

That would be strange. In the end, what do humans respect most is their idols or their own cowardice?",

Danxuan twisted the Buddhist beads with one hand and slowly closed his eyes. Under the reflection of the firelight, his face actually looked a little sacred.

"When people do good or evil, in the final analysis, they should respect their own wishes, and should not be afraid of anything?

If you are afraid of hell and don't do evil, that's not really good!

Similarly, knowing that it is wrong, but fearing the so-called Buddha and doing evil is not stupidity, but cowardice! It is complete cowardice.

So in the final analysis, it’s not the Buddha who is wrong, but the people who are wrong!”

"Master, do you mean to escape?" Chen Zhi asked from the side,

"Are you saying that many people use the name of religion to drive people to make mistakes? In fact, it is not the mistake of religion, but that these driven people are using religion to escape reality?"

"Donor Huizhi!"? Danxuan moved the beads and slowly closed his eyes.

"People in the world always want simple morality and simple good retribution. They don't want to think for themselves or disobey evil, so they easily follow the trend.

Some people who lie can inspire people by wearing Buddhist robes and holding Buddhist beads.

This is not only the fault of those who lie, but also the fault of cowardly people who follow the crowd foolishly!

Amitabha!"

"What about revenge!",

Suddenly, a sharp voice came from the side, and everyone looked in the direction of the sound in surprise.

It turned out that the monkey who had been silent all the way suddenly spoke.

"I am not cowardly or evasive.

But someone deceived us, drove us to help him, and then treacherously killed us.

Should we take revenge?

Is killing someone out of revenge a sin?

I don’t want to forgive, if Buddha forces me to forgive, I will kill Buddha!”

"Amitabha!",

Danxuan seemed to have thought that the monkey would ask such a question, and still twirled the beads and closed his eyes.

"The poor monk has told you many times along the way that forgiveness is spontaneous. No one will force you, not even the Buddha!

I hope you forgive me, is my wish!

But if you don’t forgive from your heart, it’s not true forgiveness!”

"I don't want to forgive...",

After the monkey finished speaking, his eyes flickered again and he suddenly looked at Chen Zhi. The hatred in his eyes was indescribable.

"I don't forgive, I just want revenge!

I want to kill! Kill you all!"

"Damn, this damn monkey still deserves a beating!",

Fat Wei was startled by the monkey's sharp eyes.

Stand up, snatch the cup from his hand, point to the big stone next to him,

"As soon as I treat you better, you want to go to heaven again

.

Go! Go and lie down over there! Your life is still in our hands, avenge your mother!

Damn monkey, your mind is full of negative energy, and you speak very viciously, as if someone owed you something in a previous life..."

After being scolded by Fat Wei for a few times, the monkey said nothing more. He also resisted and just walked to the stone angrily, curled up into a small ball and leaned there.

He was obviously too tired. He dragged his tired body and fell asleep quickly.

After being said a few words by the monkey, Chen Zhi suddenly lost his mood and waved his hand, indicating that everyone should go to bed quickly! Get ready to go on the road tomorrow!

So Fat Wei also yawned and got into the sleeping bag.

The night in the desert is very cold, so lighting a bonfire can warm the surrounding earth.

But the rock the monkey was leaning on was very cold away from the campfire.

After Danxuan watched everyone fall asleep, he secretly took out a blanket and covered the monkey, then tucked the corners of the cloth around it, wrapped it up, and then went back to sleep...

The journey afterwards was uneventful, with the scorching sun still hanging in the sky, but the road was obviously easier to walk.

Perhaps it was because they were approaching Gaochang Country. There were more and more shrubs on the roadside for them to light bonfires, and the cold and silent night became no longer so uncomfortable.

Danxuan still took great care of the monkey as before. He even asked Chen Zhi not to tie the rope to the monkey anymore. He was responsible for taking care of it and would be responsible for any safety issues.

He gave the monkey his own water to drink and his own food to eat, and he let it sleep in his own sleeping bag at night.

As time passed, the monkey seemed to have dropped its guard against Danxuan, and only talked to Danxuan along the way and asked him some questions.

Danxuan was also very patient and kept answering questions.

Chen Zhi occasionally heard some, and what Danxuan said were basically Buddhist principles.

The questions asked by the monkey were basically about revenge and forgiveness.

After four days of trekking like this, Chen Zhi's electronic map suddenly made a beeping sound, showing the location less than one kilometer ahead.

Chen Zhi knew that they had finally reached their destination. After climbing over the sand dunes, they should be what they had been looking for - the ancient country of Gaochang...
