Chapter 2136 The first battle

Yingchuan was the site of Bocai's uprising, so it was naturally very important to him and was equivalent to his base.

The Eastern Han Dynasty imperial court dispatched Zuo Zhonglang General Huangfu Song and Right Zhonglang General Zhu Jun to lead 40,000 infantry and cavalry to Yingchuan. Neither Zhang Jiao, the leader of the Yellow Turban Army, nor Bo Cai, the controller of Yingchuan, would allow them to be suppressed.

The Yellow Turban troops led by Bo Cai quickly rushed back to Yingchuan County and garrisoned the most important transportation artery before the Eastern Han Dynasty imperial army arrived.

"Jiang Qi!" After setting up camp, Bo Cai immediately raised his tent and summoned his generals. After everyone arrived, he looked around and looked at Jia Zhengjin.

"The end is here!" Jia Zhengjin stood up with fists clasped.

"You are the vanguard and lead an army of 3,000 to find out the strength of the Han army!" Bo Cai ordered.

"Yes!" Jia Zhengjin actually didn't like this kind of trouble, but he had to act like whatever role he played. After receiving the order, he immediately went to the military camp.

When I saw the 3,000 Yellow Turban soldiers handed to me, I was quite speechless.

The 3,000 people were at full capacity, with yellow scarves tied on their heads, and their morale was high. However, there were only a few young and strong people, most of them were boys of fourteen or fifteen years old, as skinny as monkeys, and there were some gray-haired old men holding weapons.

They were all trembling.

But they are all fanatical Yellow Turban believers, at least they are brave in fighting.

The stronger Yellow Turban soldiers are all in the main tent. They are considered to be Bocai's personal soldiers, and of course they cannot be lent to him.

All of these 3,000 people are infantry, and about 1,000 of them can barely be called pikemen, and at least have simple weapons such as spears. The rest have hoes and farm tools, and some use sharpened sticks or bamboos instead.

Shouldn't the vanguard officer lead the cavalry? Such a team is not very mobile, right?

Never mind!

Taking three thousand yellow scarves with him, Jia Zhengjin headed towards the marching direction of the Eastern Han army.

After walking and stopping all the way, when we arrived near Yangguan, we suddenly found smoke and dust in front of us, and immediately ordered the entire army to form an array.

The Yellow Turban soldiers did not form a formation, they just raised their weapons in a haphazard manner in preparation for battle.

A group of cavalry appeared in front, about five hundred people, wearing the standard uniform of Han Dynasty soldiers.

Jia Zhengjin was envious in his heart, this is the standard equipment of the Pioneer Army!

When the two armies met, a general rushed out from the Han army. He was riding a bay-red horse and had a steel gun in his hand. He stepped forward single-handedly and said: "Zhu Ting is here in Yangcheng! How dare you, the yellow turban thief general?"

war?"

What the hell? Are you going to challenge me one on one when we meet? Jia Zhengjin was a little speechless, but he still rode forward and raised his spear: "Pioneer Officer Jiang Qi is here, take your life!"

"Drive!" Zhu Ting clamped his legs on the horse's belly, raised his steel gun and ran towards it.

Jia Zhengjin also rushed out of the military formation and quickly fought.

The two horses crossed each other, Zhu Ting shouted loudly, and pointed the steel spear in his hand to stab.

Jia Zhengjin ducked sideways and crossed paths with him.

The two sides ran for a while, each reined in the reins, turned the horse's head, and charged towards the other side again.

This time Jia Zhengjin did not hesitate to use continuous stabbing, attacking continuously before Zhu Ting could raise his gun.

"Puff, puff, puff!" The tip of the spear hit Zhu Ting's three vital points accurately, causing the opponent to flip over and fall off his horse, immediately falling to death.

"Ho! Ho! Ho..." The morale of the Yellow Turban Army was greatly boosted, and they shouted in unison.

When the five hundred horsemen of the Han army saw that their general had been killed, they immediately panicked.

Jia Zhengjin stepped forward to pick up Zhu Ting's body, jumped on his maroon horse, grabbed his point steel gun, pointed the gun at the Han cavalry and ordered loudly: "Kill!!"

"Kill!!" The Yellow Turban soldiers surged past like crazy demons.

The opponent was leaderless and could no longer resist, so they quickly turned around and fled.

Jia Zhengjin led his troops to cover up the attack, killed more than a hundred cavalry, and snatched their horses. The remaining ones ran too fast, and the Yellow Turban Army finally ran away. There was no way but to watch them leave.

This encounter was a complete victory. There was almost no resistance from the other side. The Yellow Turban Army only suffered about twenty casualties.

After taking away the horses, Jia Zhengjin had hundreds of more cavalry. Although they were not trained, at least they looked much more powerful than before.

I got a [Rapid Fire] skill and a [Big Sword Token] from Zhu Ting.

Of those more than a hundred cavalry, only one [Cavalry Token] exploded.

[Rapid Fire] After learning, the archery speed will increase.

This is an archery skill.

[Blade Token] can transform soldiers into broadsword guards, giving them the guard skill [Crescent Slash].

The rest are just junk loot, mostly low-grade materials.

After winning the first battle, Jia Zhengjin decided to take advantage of the victory and lead the Yellow Turban Army in pursuit along the way.

He rushed to the border of Yangguan, looked at the surrounding terrain, and found a hillside suitable for reconnaissance. He immediately led the Yellow Turban Army to the top of the slope.

Sure enough, from the top of the slope, you can see clearly in the distance, the camps of 40,000 soldiers and horses of the Eastern Han Dynasty are connected together, and there are Sheng flags everywhere.

The defeated cavalry returned to the camp, apparently to report to the Han generals.

Jia Zhengjin firmly remembered the Han army's military formation layout and immediately led the Yellow Turban Army to reverse course.

Returning to the Yellow Turban camp, he strode to Bocai with Zhu Ting's head and knelt down on one knee: "Commander Qu, the last general has discovered the formation of the Han army's camp. He met the Han army general Zhu Ting on the way and killed him.

!And killed more than a hundred Han cavalry!"

The soldier took the head and presented it to him. Bo Cai opened it and took a look with joy on his face: "Jiang Xianfeng is indeed brave! Quickly draw the layout of the Han army camp for me!"

"Here!" Jia Zhengjin took the brush and drew the shape of the Han Dynasty army formation from memory on the kraft paper, and marked the Sheng flag he saw, "Commander Qu, the army formation is divided into two places..."

When Jia Zhengjin drew the complete military formation he saw, Bocai closed his eyes and thought, then nodded: "The Han army is divided into two groups, fighting each other. The Han generals who were killed this time should be Zhu Jun's men.

.....Jiang Xianfeng, you are indispensable! The bounty is one thousand, and the silk is one hundred pieces!"

"Thank you so much!"

"Chiang Kai-shek is tired from the journey and can return to his camp to rest. The other generals should discuss with me how to defeat the enemy!"

"Here!"

When Bo Cai and other Yellow Turban generals were discussing the plan to surprise the Han army, Jia Zhengjin returned to the camp.

After the reward was delivered, he felt particularly disappointed.

The thousand gold that Bo Cai mentioned was not a thousand catties of gold, or a thousand pieces of gold, but just a thousand copper coins.

It's not that he cares about gold or anything, it's simply because the value of gold and copper is so different that he feels a little disparate.

The silk is actually a pile of cloth that looks pretty fancy.

"Come here!" After counting, he shouted directly outside.

"What are your orders, general?" A yellow scarf soldier entered the tent and bowed respectfully.

"Give these all to the soldiers!"

"Here!"

There were only over 2,970 Yellow Turbans out of the 3,000 under his command. I was very happy when I heard that the Pioneer Officers received the rewards without paying a penny and all was given to them.

The reason why they followed the Yellow Turban Uprising was because the imperial court was corrupt and they could not live a good life.

The reward was equally distributed to every soldier. Although there was not much left, it was given for free. Each and every one of them was grateful to the pioneer officer "Jiang Qi".
