Chapter 3 Mysterious Fragments

 Misty Forest, Pamir Academy.

Since the time is in the Hearthfire Month, Pamir Academy happens to be in the annual recruitment period. Many academy leaders who have accepted the task are waiting for the arrival of new students in their respective areas.

Without any warning, under the somewhat surprised eyes of everyone, a strange small airship suddenly broke into the academy's secret lock and slowly landed at the airport terminal.

The icy blue crystal bird emblem is imprinted on the side of the airship. Under the sunlight, the pattern of the eternal crown surrounding the emblem shines brightly and catches the eye.

With a faint fluctuation of magic power, the hatch slid open silently, and the metal gangway covered with red carpet descended gently to the ground.

Greeted by two academy guide mages, Anvis slowly stepped off the family's alchemy airship. The exquisite earth dragon leather boots made a rustling sound on the solid black stone ground of the dock.

Behind him, the silver-white alchemical airship gradually floated up, and then disappeared among the light golden clouds illuminated by the rising sun.

"Sir Anvis, this is your new college identity card. Your previous residence college still reserves it for you, and you can receive it at any time."

After Anvis stood firm, one of the guiding mages stepped forward, took out an identity card and handed it to Anvis.

"And, in addition to your previous credits, there are also an additional five thousand credits, which can be regarded as the college's compensation for the previous attack on you."

"Okay, please excuse me, Your Excellency, the guide."

Anvis nodded calmly, and without saying anything else, he just took the ID badge and left for his residence.

This was his personal compensation. When the enemy attacked before, the trap he set in his courtyard was activated, triggering the mythical alarm, which frightened the enemy away.

As for the matter of 'Fiona' being taken away by the enemy, the compensation issue will be discussed separately between the Pamir Academy and the family, and Anvis has nothing to do with it.

Soon, his former residence appeared in his sight.

A year and a half later, the traces of elemental blasting in the courtyard have been covered up by weeds, and the emerald green climbs up the outer wall of the small building, with lavender flowers in full bloom.

After spending half a day using magic to repair his residence, Anvis took out a stack of letters from the magic mailbox, then took off the "Do Not Enter" sign on the courtyard fence door and returned to his residence.

In half a day, I believe the news of his return should have reached the ears of many caring people.

As Avis expected, in the following days, many people came to visit one after another with their own thoughts.

The fastest coming were the descendants of the other three major families, as well as the ninth prince Lan Nuo and others.

They have the best intelligence. For major events such as Anvis' return, they have been notified of it as early as when Anvis boarded the airship to the academy.

Later, those who visited him were Harvey, Hillier, the female knight Erica and other friends of his.

Albins himself was unable to leave for the time being because he was presiding over an important magic experiment, but he also controlled a construct clone to meet Anvis and exchanged identity marks again.

At the same time, while he was away from Pamir, Claire, who had left the college, sent him several letters.

She shared her travels in it, and attached some magical images of ruins and antiquities, as well as some small things found in the ruins.

For example, there are weird eyeball sculptures, silver pendants engraved with twisted stars, runes carved from black stone, light green fossil pieces, etc.

Looking at these magical images and souvenirs, Avis could picture her narrowly escaping from the collapsed ruins everywhere.

However, when he picked up the last letter from Claire, the old secret book hanging on his waist suddenly flickered.

This immediately attracted Anvis' attention. He opened the letter and poured out a piece of blue fragment about the size of a fingernail from the envelope.

The material of this fragment looks like some kind of crystal, but it shines with a bright metallic luster and has several parallel notches on its surface. Due to its small size, its original shape cannot be distinguished.

Anvis picked up the fragment and put it in his hand. It felt very light, not even as heavy as ice of the same volume.

He noticed that when he held up the fragment, the Old Mysteries were indeed flickering slightly, but there was no further change.

A little concerned about this change, Avis looked at the content and time of the letter.

The letter was sent by Claire four months ago. In the letter, the half-elf girl told about a hidden group of ancient ruins she found in the Lost Desert, as well as some weird traces of prehistoric civilization in it.

She found the fragment on an altar in the ruins. Since she could not identify its specific material, she sent it to Avis to see if she could discern its purpose.

After repeatedly testing the fragment, Avis finally discovered that even through these conventional identification magics, he could not determine what it was.

After thinking for a moment, Anvis contacted the head of the family and asked him to investigate Claire's whereabouts as soon as possible.

Then, he took the fragment into the underground laboratory and prepared to use a special magic spectrum analyzer to determine the specific elemental composition of the fragment.

.….….

In Avis's research, half a month flew by.

Avis has not been going well during this period. The progress of instrument analysis has been unexpectedly slow. So far, the detection progress is only about half of the way.

The family's intelligence agency also failed to find Claire, and only discovered that she entered the Lost Desert alone, and then disappeared.

Under such circumstances, Avis came to the advanced mystery class classroom for the first time in a long time, ready to change his mood.

"Today, I will tell you about the legendary seventh-level mysterious spell 'Limited Wishing Technique'!"

In the center of the wide spellcasting field, there is a huge magic circle whose main lines are dark red, as if drawn with the blood of some kind of creature, and is emitting a faint magical light.

Several mermaid candles with dancing blue flames are scattered at the six corners of the core of the ritual circle, making the indoor atmosphere very mysterious.

Standing at the core of the magic circle, in front of a huge black crystal ball that was half the height of a person, the silver-haired girl tutor Nancy pushed up her silver-rimmed glasses and looked at the many students on one side of the ritual magic circle.

"Most wish magic is actually like a blind eye. All it does is to 'realize' the wish through ordinary means and use magic to make up for the unreasonable aspects of the process."

The lenses reflected the dancing blue light, and Nancy's eyes slowly swept across everyone's faces.

"Perhaps you will wish to obtain certain treasures, such as dragon scales, which may cause a giant dragon to fly over your place of residence. Or simply there is an error in the space transmission of a certain dragon and it will be teleported directly to your home.

.

Then, under the influence of wish magic, it dropped a scale. But here, the effect of wish magic ended.

The most important thing is that this does not mean that the dragon itself cannot feel the influence of wish magic, so you will have to face the wrath of a dragon."
