Chapter 477 Space Rescue!

It has been 10 days since I came to Yinchuan, and the daily shooting progress is very rapid.

Astronaut Lin Hua, played by Liu Ye, is a very strong man both physically and mentally.

This is the most important point. If you grasp this characteristic well, with Liu Ye's appearance and acting skills, there will be no big problems in acting.

No matter how strong a person is, he has a weak side. When eating food alone at the base at night, he will also have a lonely, helpless, and even desperate side.

But for the most part, he remains optimistic.

The current situation is already like this. If he is negative, he will collapse within a few days of staying on Mars.

On the first night when I logged into the space agency's system to make notes, which was equivalent to a "suicide note," I still acted very calm, optimistic and funny.

It is not difficult for Liu Ye to be optimistic and funny, and he can even make funny jokes easily.

"Click."

Halfway through the morning shooting, Tang An called to stop.

Problems, big and small, were inevitable during the filming process. There was another problem with the lighting today. Tang An, Ye Jintian, Zhang Li, and Zhou Ren got together to discuss and tried various plans before Tang An finally made the decision.

"Using 5 arrimax18k and 12khmipar lights plus roso1/2softfrost soft light cloth."

Whether it is sunlight on the surface of Mars or indoor light in a human base, the sunlight shining on the ceiling of the base must go through countless experiments to achieve the desired effect.

The Human Center completely uses indoor lighting for the scenery, and basically does not use any other lighting equipment, so it can easily distinguish the interior and exterior scenes.

The indoor scenes tend to be monochromatic, clean, and modern, while the outdoor scenes are full of fantasy.

The Martian sunlight that shines on the translucent dome of the Human Center uses neutral colors. This contrast between the interior and exterior scenes prevents the audience from getting bored with the earthy red color of the Martian surface.

"Okay, continue shooting."

After dealing with a problem, Tang An sat back in front of the monitor.

But then came new problems.

When photographer Zhang Li was taking a close-up shot, he raised his hand to stop. He walked over and said.

"Director Tang, Liu Ye's helmet will still reflect light. Why don't we remove the cover on the helmet and add it later."

Tang An shook his head. In order to prevent reflected light, they only used a single directional light when shooting people, but the hood on the helmet still showed a little shadow of the camera.

This can only be done in post-production, but whether to make the cover with CG or erase the camera shadow reflected on the cover depends on how convenient post-production is.

He had handed over the problem to Tiangong Yicai. Two days later, there should be a solution there, so Tang An made a call.

"Hey, Lao Xiao, how's it going?"

"Dr. Tang, it's almost solved. If it's all studio shooting, just erase the reflections in post-production. If it's location shooting, just remove the mask and do CG in post-production."

"Okay, then we'll shoot like this."

Tang An hung up the phone and said to Zhang Li, "Erase it later and remove the cover for the exterior scenes."

Continue shooting.

After a busy morning, I went into the "greenhouse" in the afternoon to film the potato planting scene.

The fastest variety of potatoes has a maturity cycle of 60 days. Tang An and the others only had a little over a month to shoot here. It was impossible to plant them from scratch and then shoot them on a specific day.

However, plowing the ground, sowing seeds, fertilizing, and watering were all shot in real life.

The sowing scene was filmed before, and now the potatoes in it have entered the sprouting stage.

"Scene thirty-seven, one scene, one time!"

"start!"

"I am now the greatest botanist on the planet. According to a foreign saying a long time ago, if you plant crops everywhere, that is your colony."

"So, I colonized Mars. I was the first. Armstrong was so weak."

Liu Ye introduced these potatoes with a bit of pride and amusement. Since getting in touch with the Earth Space Administration, the character's condition has become more and more cheerful.

At 3pm, today we will shoot the scene where the aerospace team successfully picks up Liu Ye from Mars. It will also be the last scene for Li Binbin, Jiang Wu, Yang Mi, and Wang Kai.

They all had other things to do, so I just finished filming and let them go.

We moved to another studio, and all the equipment, rail cars, and wires were ready.

Although this scene is not long, it is not very complicated. It seems that Li Binbin reaches a distance of more than 100 meters from Liu Ye through the traction rope, and then Liu Ye uses the exhaust pressure to make him rise and finally joins Li Binbin and is pulled together. The rope pulls aboard the spaceship.

The actual operation was extremely cumbersome. We asked the space agency to provide reference for various data, and demonstrated it on the computer many times to obtain feasible data.

Including the angles and distances between various props, as well as the angles and distances from the camera.

Even the scene where Liu Ye flew around after decompressing the small aircraft could not be shot in real life. For that personal perspective in the aircraft, an internal model of the small aircraft had to be built and a complete CG interior was made for this shot.

Everything is ready and work begins.

"Are the departments ready?"

“Photography is OK!”

"The props are ok!"

"ok!"

The space rescue is about to begin, and even though we are filming, it is unavoidable to make people excited.

After confirming that it was correct, Tang An shouted loudly.

"The actors are in place!"

"Scene 71, one shot, one shot!"

"start!"

In order to make Liu Ye's performance physical, the struggle against centrifugal force made the scene more realistic.

The hardest part for the actors was probably getting them to imagine what was going on around this huge green screen set.

Liu Ye stayed on a truss with a rotating gimbal in the middle, while the others swayed on it with ropes.

At the other end, Li Binbin also fixed the traction rope on the spacecraft and lowered it to the middle position.

Liu Ye stayed on a truss with a rotating universal joint, and a railcar controller moved forward underneath the entire truss.

The camera was placed above Liu Ye through the bracket, and then the animation axis was made later.

Li Binbin looked anxiously at Liu Ye, who was rolling towards him. While Liu Ye was moving forward, he was affected by the lack of gravity and allowed the truss to roll irregularly, and he had to make various expressions and movements.

Getting closer!

The two sides have joined together!

But still passed by!

But Liu Ye grabbed the traction rope and kept spinning it around in a mess.

Since there is no gravity in outer space, the traction rope will not fall and float in the air.

But it was obviously impossible during filming, so it needed to be added in later through CG production.

"Nice to meet you!"

The two held hands together, and Liu Ye shouted with a hint of excitement.

"But you don't know how to appreciate music."

Now, in this tense moment, we meet again after a long absence, and even make jokes.

"Okay, pass!"

Space rescue successfully completed!
