Volume Two, Chapter 27, Tranquility

Chromie took a look inside and said, "It's so clean, it looks really good."

The two of them walked in and found a seat in the corner to sit down.

Aina's sister came over with a smile, "I haven't seen you coming here for a long time. I want to have something to eat this time."

Qiantaki smiled and replied, "I was on a mission earlier. Give me some delicious food. Here are four bottles of dark beer."

Chromie looked at Chitaki in great surprise and said, "It's rare that you actually want to drink."

"I haven't been sleeping well lately." Chitaki replied.

"This is normal. When I was young, I would always suffer from insomnia for several months after completing a mission. Later I got used to it. People always have to adapt to this process. If you really can't adjust, you can go

See Salia (doctor), don’t think she is cold, she is very professional and skilled." Chromie said.

"Yes." Chitaki nodded.

"You want the dark beer." Aina's sister brought it and put it on the table.

"Thank you." Chitaki thanked him.

Aina's sister smiled, took the plate and left.

Chromie opened the lid of the dark beer and handed a bottle to Chitaki. They each poured a glass and drank it in one gulp. Chromie couldn't help but make a sound of comfort.

"Cool!"

Chitaki hesitated and said, "Is that mecha training room always open?"

Cromie replied, "It's usually turned on during the day and turned off at night. You shouldn't be worried about the score. Don't worry too much. It's just a simulation training machine after all."

"No, I want to train well. Can I borrow the mecha training room?" Chitaki asked.

"This is no problem, you can use it if you want." Chromie replied without caring.

"Thanks."

The two chatted while eating. By the time Chitaki got home, it was already evening.

Chitaki lay on the bed, the evaporating alcohol made him feel sleepy, and soon he fell asleep again.

Chitaki opened his eyes and saw that the world around him turned bright red. He looked down at the ground. He didn't know when his feet stepped in red blood. He raised his hands and looked at his own hands, which were dripping with blood.

He suddenly raised his head in surprise, and a strange face appeared in front of him. There were old men, young men, middle-aged men, women, children, and girls.

Faces were very close to him, and each one murmured indistinctly.

Chitaki couldn't help but take a step back, and suddenly he felt as if he had bumped into something.

He turned around and saw a little girl squatting on the ground, slowly raising her head, with a pale face, her eyes staring at Chitaki, scarlet blood flowing from her eyes.

Chitaki sat up suddenly, panting heavily, and his whole body was covered in sweat. He glanced at the dim metal ball lying quietly on the table, and his rapidly beating heart slowly slowed down.

Very early the next day, Chitaki was at the door of the mecha training room, waiting for the door to open.

A guard came over at this time and was stunned when he saw Chitaki standing at the door of the training room, "Sir Chitaki."

Chitaki nodded tiredly in response.

The training room opened, Chitaki opened a training machine and lay down in it.

Scores are being scored one after another.

Chitaki didn't leave the training room until late at night.

In the following days, Chitaki repeated the same schedule every day, helping Jeken purchase materials, or training hard in the mecha training room. Although his scores increased, the extent was not high.

Late that night, Chitaki got off the training machine and just walked out of the training room when he saw Chromie standing at the door smoking a cigarette and exhaling the lingering smoke.

"Your condition is not good. Your face looks ugly. Did something happen?"

Chitaki shook his head and replied, "It's nothing, I just haven't been able to sleep well lately."

"It's best if you can overcome this psychological problem on your own. If it doesn't work, you should see a doctor. Don't hold on. How are you training?" Chromie stood at the door and asked.

Chitaki shook his head and said, "Not ideal."

Chromie thought for a while and replied, "Well, if you really feel that you need to train, I will arrange it for you so that you can train different skills with different people."

Chitaki thought for a few seconds and said, "Okay, thank you."

Chromie reached out and patted Chitaki on the shoulder, "Listen to me, go back and have a good rest at night, and give yourself a day off tomorrow. Only by combining work and rest can you make rapid progress."

Chitaki nodded and said, "I understand, I'll go back first."

Chitaki dragged his tired body away, and Chromie stood behind him and watched. At this time, Pique and others appeared and said, "Boss, what are you doing?"

Chromie reprimanded angrily, "I told Chitaki not to work too hard, as his body might not be able to bear it. I said you bunch of bastards, why don't you work as hard as he does?"

Pique replied with a dry smile, "I suddenly remembered that we still have something to do, so I'll leave first."

A group of people fled in a hurry.

Chitaki returned to the room, lay down on the bed, and closed her eyes.

He suddenly saw a pair of bleeding eyes staring at him, and this time Chitaki began to hear sounds vaguely.

"Come and stay with us."

Qiantaki was startled, and then the little girl's pale face was almost touching his face. People with distorted faces were standing around him at some unknown time.

They all raised their heads to look at Chitaki and slowly stretched out their hands towards him.

In the silent metal room, Chitaki's sleeping face lying on the bed kept showing a look of pain and struggle. The metal ball placed on the table began to glow red, and the whole metal ball seemed to be boiling, with red blood bubbles emerging one after another.

In an unknown world, countless dense red light spots fill the world. In the center area, a girl in white clothes is sleeping there with her legs wrapped around her, with a transparent film covering her body.

The red light spots all around made a special hoarse voice, "Wake up!"

"Wake up!"

"Awake from your slumber."

"The heroes of my clan wake up!"

The red light spots kept fluttering towards the transparent white film like moths to a flame, sinking into it.

The clothes of the girl in white began to be dyed red little by little.

In the metal room, the metal ball on the table boiled even more fiercely. The red blood bubbles continued to roll. The entire metal ball began to float, emitting a strange red light. Lying on the bed, Chitaki's expression became more and more painful, as if he was suffocating.

,

The bright moonlight shines through the window, and the peculiar plant placed on the windowsill suddenly grows buds at a speed visible to the naked eye, and then the buds bloom.

The special blue free light spots spread, and the whole room was filled with these blue free light spots, like starlight. The metal ball that was constantly rolling blood bubbles suddenly stopped boiling, slowly fell, and slowly stopped on the table.

The blood bubbles on the entire metal ball began to slowly fade away, gradually returning to their original appearance. However, they faded until finally, the color of the metal ball was vaguely dark red.

Lying on the bed, Chitaki's painful expression slowly began to relax, and finally he regained his composure and fell into a deep sleep.
