Volume Two, Chapter 109, Responsibilities

The person wearing a white horse coat next to him opened the metal box he carried with him, took out a red injection, and began to inject Falai Jones.

"Injecting 2ml of T-450 psychostimulant injection."

Christine kept asking for various injections.

Farley Jones' expression began to show some pain.

"Sir, will our injection dose be too high? After all, he is quite old." A subordinate next to him asked.

"Farai Jones is not as fragile as you think. He is old, but this dose will not make any difference. At most, it will cut his remaining life span in half." Christine said calmly.

Just as Christine said, Farley Jones managed to survive, and soon she slowly opened her eyes.

He looked at the person who appeared in front of him in confusion, and after a long time, he slowly spoke.

"Christine?"

"Terrence asked me to ask you, I just need to ask you to answer." Christine said,

"You ask." Farley Jones replied with difficulty.

"When you were exploring the base, did you see a slate or something similar to a slate?" Kristen asked.

"No," Farley Jones replied.

"What does the Lanqi family want to do to control you?" Christine continued to ask.

"They took control of us, gained control of the base, and tricked the Hippocrates into descending. They wanted to take control of the Hippocrates. In addition, they were taking an item." Farley Jones replied tiredly.

"What is it, where is it?"

"It's a crown. I don't know where it is. It should be in Kari's hands." Farley Jones replied with difficulty.

"Is there anything else you want to say?" Christine asked.

"No." Farley Jones replied tiredly.

"Okay, you have a good rest." After saying that, Christine led the people and walked out.

The little boy who had been waiting at the door saw them leaving and hurried in. He saw a smile on the face of Farley Jones who was awake.

Walking in the corridor of the hospital, Kristine said.

"Which room is Kari in?"

"He is in the VIP room at the end of the corridor, but it is a bit difficult to see him." Christine's subordinate said.

Christine didn't say anything, but kept walking forward.

Not long after, they arrived at the door of Kari's ward and were stopped by a group of guards wearing individual armors.

"Who are you?" The leader turned out to be a major officer wearing a white second-generation individual armor.

"We are here to visit Kari." Kristen said.

"Kari is recuperating. You guys will come to visit later." The captain who took the lead refused directly.

"We have something that requires Kari's cooperation. We hope you will cooperate with our work." Christine said calmly.

"You are from STP, right?" the leader said with narrowed eyes.

"Yes, I have something to ask Kari now." Christine did not deny it.

"No." The leader refused without hesitation.

"Can you take responsibility for what you said?" Christine said calmly.

"Of course I can take responsibility. Let me tell you, if you want to see our deputy commander, you must either bring out the authorization letter from the parliament or ask Mr. Edmund to inform us. Otherwise, no one will be able to come in. Our Mr. Kari will be injured like this.

It's not a good thing you STP people did, let me tell you, I was being polite by not beating you up." The leader sneered.

"What's your name?" Kristen said with a frown.

"Demi Gaye, you can complain as you wish." Demi Gaye said nonchalantly.

"I am Lieutenant General Christine, and I am ordering you to get out of the way." Christine said solemnly.

Demigaye stood at attention and saluted Christine, "Sir, I'm sorry."

"You are so brave." Christine's accompanying subordinate said angrily.

Demigaye simply stopped talking and didn't move out of the way. He was not afraid of Christian's harsh approach. They were all fully armed and wearing individual armors, and Christian's entourage at most had guns.

"As expected of Edmund." Christine said.

"Thank you for the compliment, sir." Damigaye said.

Kristine left with the people, and the team members behind Demigaye spoke one after another.

"Captain, is something going on?"

"What are you afraid of? I'll stop doing it at worst. These bastards, if we hadn't arrived in time, Lord Kari would have died at the hands of those crazy dogs from STP. Damn it, Lord Kari didn't die at the hands of alien monsters. He almost died.

If you die in the hands of your own people, don't give me any excuses about monster control or anything like that, I don't believe it." Demigaye said arrogantly.

"What the captain said makes sense. These guys came here with no good intentions." The team members agreed one after another.

In the central control center of the base, Terenceus raised his head and said.

"Put Chromie and two under house arrest."

"This?" The adjutant next to him was a little at a loss.

"Let Almantha do it." Terentius ordered.

"yes."

Chromie and Chitaki fled with their lives. If Chitaki hadn't had a good memory and escaped back the same way, he might have been caught in a trap without paying attention.

The two of them fled to the defensive line of area G and stopped. Chitaki glanced back. It was quiet behind them, and there were no new explosions. It seemed that they had not chased them out.

"It should be safe for now." Chitaki breathed out.

"I'll connect to Lan Li." Chromie said.

"Okay." Chitaki replied.

Chromie started to try to connect to Lan Li, but a red box suddenly popped up, indicating that long-distance communication was blocked.

"Hmm? Signal jammer?"

"What's wrong?" Chitaki asked after hearing Chromie's voice talking to himself on the communication channel.

"If we can't connect, let's leave this area." Chromie said.

As soon as the two men stepped out in the mecha, the STP personnel guarding the place suddenly surrounded Chromie and the two.

"Something doesn't seem right." Chitaki said.

"What do you want to do?" Chromie asked.

"What don't you want to do? We suspect that you are infected by an unknown virus. Now you have to cooperate with us to check your health." Almanza came up with a group of people.

"Almantha, you want to put us under house arrest. Do you know what you are hiding now?" Chromie said with a dark face.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Almanza said.

"Is it you?" Chitaki said with a frown. Could this guy be the team member he saved during the last battle with Chijuko?

"It's me. I'm very grateful for your rescue last time. Don't worry, it's just a routine inspection. As long as you cooperate," Almansa replied.

"What if we don't cooperate?" Chromie said, narrowing his eyes.
