Chapter 18 Seeing Inheritance

The decoration in the temple is very simple, with a green lantern, an ancient Buddha and a futon. Other than that, there is nothing else at first glance.

At least in Wang Ziwen's view, this is not at all like the atmosphere that a dojo where the Great Emperor's inheritance should have.

Brother Fahai...could it be a mistake?

On the other side, Ye Fan also had the same idea.

The so-called Dayeiyin Temple is derived from the saying that "the Buddha's voice preaches, and the sound is like thunder." It is the legendary place where Tathagata Buddha and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas taught and preached.

"Journey to the West" describes that the Great Leiyin Temple should be on the Lingshan Mountain of Paradise in the West, with the sky above Hanzhong and its roots connected to the Xumi Vein. The peaks are arranged skillfully and the strange rocks are staggered. Under the cliffs are Yao Cao Qi flowers and winding paths.

Next to it is Zhi Zhi Xiang Hui.

But in front of me, this small ruined temple that was so simple that it had almost nothing, did not look like it could accommodate so many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

Just when he couldn't help but go forward to ask, he found that in front of him, this senior Pei had walked up to the dilapidated Buddha statue and was observing something carefully.

What Fahai was looking at was the only Buddha statue in the small temple.

The Buddha statue was carved from a piece of marble as high as a person, and the whole body was in the shape of white jade. Although the face had been blurred by the passage of time, the exquisite skills of the sculptor in the past could still be seen from the polishing of the subtle parts of the body.

The stone Buddha has a serene face, sitting in the lotus position, with his left hand placed across his left foot, which is the seal of concentration, expressing the meaning of meditation; he extends his right hand to cover his right knee, with his fingers touching the ground, which is called the seal of touching the ground.

This is the seal formed by the Buddha when he attained enlightenment, so even if the statue in front of him is not the original form of the ancient Emperor Amitabha, it is at least the image of the powerful Buddha who attained enlightenment.

Fa Hai was a little more certain about the speculation that there might be Buddhist inheritance here.

The ground-touching seal is also called the subduing demon seal, which means subduing all demons. It is obviously a hint that there are big demons subdued by the Buddha underground, so don't act rashly.

Now it seems that the disaster Ye Fan and others suffered at Leiyin Temple in the original work may not have been doomed by cause and effect.

Just imagine, the Buddha has suppressed the divine crocodile here for thousands of years. Why did the seal not break early or late, but it was destroyed after Ye Fan and his party entered the Great Leiyin Temple?

It was not because Ye Fan and his team searched for Buddhist treasures and destroyed the original seal, which gave Crocodile Ancestor the possibility to escape.

Ye Fan and others took away the Buddhist treasure as a result, causing the Crocodile Ancestor to break free from the seal, but the Buddha was merciful, and the taken away Buddha treasure in turn protected the group of people from the killing of the divine crocodile...

Such a cycle of cause and effect brings unsatisfactory retribution.

After figuring out the key, Fahai felt that he had a much clearer understanding of the principles of cause and effect.

Even if we cannot find the inheritance of Amitabha in the future, this point alone will make this trip worthwhile.

Of course, it would be great to be able to add joy to the joy.

Forming the meditation mudra with both hands, Fahai closed his eyes silently to eliminate the reveries in his mind. When he opened them again, his eyes were like floating glass, and the appearance of all the worldly objects he saw had been eliminated, leaving only the essence.

It is the famous magical power of Buddhism: clairvoyance.

Through the eyes of the sky, many people and things in the small temple reveal their original appearance. A half-broken demon pestle in the corner still has some divine light, the wandering divine patterns on the ancient bronze lamp, and the perfectly round holy body in Ye Fan's body.

The essence, and... the dazzling rich golden light beneath the seemingly ordinary futon!

Um?!

With his mind slightly moved, Fahai stepped forward and opened the futon.

However, there is still an empty stone slab underneath, nothing unusual about it.

Fahai, who did not believe in evil, once again used his clairvoyance. When he looked at this place, he saw a golden light surrounded by five-color rays of light, which made his eyes hurt.

No, there must be something wrong with this brick!

He tried reaching out and knocking on it, but there was no clear and hollow sound coming from the ground. Out of caution, Fa Hai did not dare to destroy the stone slab casually.

So what exactly is it that I didn’t observe carefully?

Fahai fell into deep thought.

Green lanterns, ancient Buddhas, futons...

The remaining inconspicuous things should have nothing to do with it. With the spirit of the ancient emperors, since it is inherited, they will definitely not engage in some unfair means.

Then the key point must be among these three.

If he were the original monk of Daleiyin Temple, what would he do on weekdays?

The ancient Buddha with a green lantern, sitting and chanting sutras...wait!

As if remembering something, Fahai put the futon back to its original place and sat on it without any hesitation.

When I looked at the Buddha statue with my heavenly eye, there were indeed some changes on it.

But on the exposed chest of the Buddha statue, three lines of words appeared faintly:

Given this fate

Recite all the sutras

Come into my door

Chanting? What sutra to recite?

Fahai didn't wait long for his happiness before another basin of cold water was poured on him.

The Zen sect uses the Diamond Sutra as its main sutra, the Pure Land sect uses the Infinite Life Sutra as its main sutra, and the Tiantai sect uses the Lotus Sutra as its main sutra...

Almost all sects with different doctrines have their own scriptures in mind.

The Buddha asked himself to recite the meaning of the sutras. Is it possible that he should recite all the sutras in the previous volume?

Although he has a photographic memory, Fa Hai does not think that Jiulong La Coffin will wait patiently for him until then.

Likewise, he did not think that Buddha would ask him such a vague question.

Then there was only one possibility. After a slight hesitation, Fahai recited in a low voice:

"Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, walking in the deep Prajnaparamita for a long time, saw that the five aggregates are all empty, and survived all the hardships. Relic, color is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color, color is emptiness, emptiness is color, and the same is true for feelings, thoughts, and consciousness... "

It is not the other profound mysteries, but it is the most popular and fundamental "Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra".

Buddhism requires personal experience, and the most important thing is enlightenment.

This sutra is a Mahayana sutra, spoken by the Tathagata for those who aroused the Mahayana mind. Although its text is succinct, its meaning is very rich.

The total is 260 words, but it contains six hundred volumes of the mysteries of Prajna, which means that all the essentials of the sacred teachings are included.

In a short period of time, Fahai could only think of this sutra as the answer that the Buddha most likely wanted to hear.

Sure enough, as Fa Hai muttered words, the Buddha's light suddenly shone brightly in the audience.

Ye Fan, who was closest to him, was pushed away by the gentle Buddha's light and bumped into a damaged bell, revealing a cool and damaged wooden sign hidden under it.

But in the blink of an eye, in full view of everyone, Fa Hai disappeared into this burst of Buddha's light.

Wang Ziwen, who had already picked up the ancient bronze lamp and couldn't wait to play with it, was stunned. The boss is indeed a boss. This inheritance... he actually found it!

No matter how people outside view it, the Dharma Sea at this time is in an ethereal sea of light, surrounded by Zen sounds and Buddhas, like flowers falling from the sky, giving people a sudden sense of ease and peace.

In front of him, less than three feet away from the Sea of Dharma, a Buddha with handsome features looked at him with a smile, pointing one finger to the sky and the other to the ground, slowly standing up from the lotus.
