Since it is an A-class car, it appears larger than the Beetle.

However, the drawings did not look intuitive, so Huang Haojie asked them to start building a one-to-one model.

In addition, after Huang Haojie discussed with three designers, he preliminarily determined some configurations of The Paper-Elegance.

As an electric vehicle positioned as a mobility scooter or for urban use, obviously the battery life does not need to be long.

The Thor 1st generation battery, combined with the Pengpai 1 motor, is equivalent to a kilogram of battery life for one kilometer when fully charged.

Therefore, the Pengpai Elegance is only equipped with a 280kg Thor 1st generation battery, with an actual range of about 280 kilometers.

As for the data that low-speed cruising can be close to 400 kilometers, Huang Haojie disdained to adopt it.

Like Tesla, their range target this year has reached 500 kilometers. The problem is that this number must be discounted by 30%, which means that they can actually reach a maximum of about 350 kilometers.

It's simply a crooked approach. Don't mark it out without genuine materials. The same is true for domestically produced cars.

They all claim to have a range of 400,500 kilometers, but the problem is that once the battery is actually driven, the battery life shrinks. This is especially true for car owners in the north. In winter, this is called a lie. The performance of lithium batteries plummets, making consumers miserable.

Therefore, Huang Junjie requires surging power and must use actual battery life, so as not to mislead consumers.

He came to the Raytheon Battery laboratory and saw a dozen researchers or engineers testing the battery pack.

These are battery packs in groups of ten kilograms. They are mainly in experimental mode. The charging speed of the 280 kilogram Thor battery is the most suitable.

"How was the test?" Huang Junjie asked directly.

Disadvantages: Charging is a bit slow.

Low-price combination: 10 kg single unit, 28 integrated units, full charging in 80 minutes at household voltage (220 volts), and about 27 minutes at a special charging station (500 volts).

Advantages: The cost per kilogram increases by about 0.3 yuan, and battery management is simple.

Disadvantages: Slow charging speed.

Huang Junjie frowned after reading it, obviously not satisfied with these combinations.

Asked again: "Is there a combination of one kilogram per piece?"

The engineer with thick glasses quickly pulled out one of the test reports and handed it to Huang Haojie:

"Mr. Huang, this is the combination of one piece per kilogram."

Fast combination: a single battery of 1 kg, 280 pieces integrated, full charging in 8 minutes at household voltage (220 volts), and 2.7 minutes at a special charging station (500 volts).

Advantages: Charging speed is faster.

Disadvantages: The cost per kilogram has increased by about 4.5 yuan, and battery management is relatively difficult.

This is what Huang Junjie wants. After all, The Paper-Elegance is positioned as a mobility scooter or for use in urban areas.

With the increasingly complete charging station network of the Thor series, what is pursued is fast charging and convenience, otherwise how can the charging station make money.

Therefore, the battery charging speed must be fast, and fast charging of 2.7 minutes is obviously very suitable.

After all, few people will charge the car until it is almost ready. Most people will choose to charge the car after the remaining 10 to 30 minutes.

Therefore, the charging time for car owners is generally about two minutes, which is less than the time required to smoke a cigarette, and no one will feel impatient.

If it takes five minutes or something, it will obviously easily make the car owner lose patience.

Huang Junjie calculated it and found that using a 1kg combination, the cost of a 280kg battery is about 8,800 Chinese yuan.

Including R&D, assembly materials, etc., the total manufacturing cost of a domestically produced gasoline vehicle is about 50% of the selling price.

If you exclude the engine, gearbox and other gasoline power system components, the car shell alone is almost the same. The cost is 30 of the selling price.

Therefore, for an electric car worth 100,000 yuan, the cost of the body is 21,000 yuan.

In total, the shell of a battery electric car costs 21,000 yuan, the battery costs 44,000 yuan, and the motor electronic control costs 20,000 yuan.

A 100,000 yuan electric car costs 85,000 yuan to build, which is almost twice the cost of a 100,000 yuan gasoline car.

Xinminhui Group released a "Report on the New Energy Vehicle Industry", which includes data on the cost allocation ratio of electric vehicles. It comes from 30 to 45 for the battery, 20 to 25 for the motor electronic control, and 20 for other parts.

It can be seen that if there were no policy subsidies for domestically produced electric vehicles, they would have been off the market long ago.

Of course, using the surging power of Thor batteries, the cost of the battery cannot be so expensive. The battery is 8,800 Chinese yuan, and with some ancillary equipment, it is about 10,000 Chinese yuan.

The price of Pengpai motor plus electronic control equipment is about 20,000 yuan.

The chassis and body cost about 21,000 yuan.

Then there are other equipment (air conditioning speakers, etc.), which cost about 10,000 yuan.

In other words, the cost of The Paper-Elegance is about 60,000 yuan.

After some calculations, Huang Haojie felt that some costs should be added to the body, chassis, and other equipment to make the quality better.

Of course, he doesn't intend to sell Pengpai-Elegance too cheaply, and the price is estimated to be around 120,000 to 150,000 yuan.

According to the latest "2016-2020 New Energy Vehicle Subsidy Standards" issued by Dongtang, pure electric vehicles with a driving range of greater than or equal to 250 kilometers can receive a subsidy of 44,000 yuan.

In this way, Huang Haojie can set the price of The Paper - Elegance higher, so that consumers can buy it for 110,000 to 120,000 yuan.
