Descending from Jiangling, the boat sailed on the river with smooth wind and water, passing through Wuchang and Huangzhou and entering Jiujiang. Zhao Ran stopped in Wuchang and Huangzhou for one night respectively, climbed the Yellow Crane Tower, and viewed the Red Cliff, which really made him cherish his memory.
Ancestor Fan.
When passing through Wuchang, Zhao Ran tried to check in at Qingyuan Palace. This time it was even worse than when he was in Jiangling. He was directly told that Yunshui Hall was full and asked Zhao Ran to find another place.
So Zhao Ran took out a small notebook and wrote down the names of Qingyuan Palace and the prison.
After arriving in Jiujiang, we entered the territory of Jiangxi, which is also the most substantial center of the Great Ming Dynasty, because there is Mount Lushan here, and there is a Taoist temple on Mount Lu called Jianji Temple.
Lushan Mountain is located in the south of the Yangtze River and faces the vast Poyang Lake in the east. It is not only among the thirty-six caves, but also among the seventy-two blessed places. During the reign of King Wu of Zhou Dynasty, Mr. Fang Fu followed Laojun into the mountain to refine elixirs. After attaining enlightenment, he ascended to heaven.
An empty hut was left behind, so it was named Lushan.
Before the great dispute between Buddhism and Taoism, this mountain was owned by two families. There were countless Taoist temples and Buddhist temples on the mountain. After the Taoist sect captured the Central Plains, they sat in Lushan to discuss the world. After that, they set up the Jianji Temple in the mountain.
The Jianji Guan is divided into two types: upper and lower. The upper is the general view of the world of spiritual practice, and the lower is the general view of the jungles in the ten directions. It was the Jianji Guan that recruited Zhao Ran to Mount Lu this time.
At the southern foot of Lushan Mountain, under the Golden Rooster Peak, this place is more lively than under the Zhangren Peak of Qingcheng Mountain. There are alleys and streets, numerous shops, and houses of unknown importance. Looking over, it feels like you are in a very prosperous big city.
Zhao Ran walked forward casually, passing through countless streets, and gradually reached the Golden Rooster Peak. Suddenly, his eyes opened up. On a white marble platform with an area of nearly ten acres, there was the majestic Sanqing Hall.
Dozens of lay fire workers maintained the order of the pilgrims offering incense. The long queue made countless turns on the high platform. Looking over, it was filled with dense and crowded people.
Behind the Sanqing Hall is another square with an area of three acres, with Tianshi Hall and Chongyang Hall on the east and west sides. The crowds here are equally dense.
Further back, there is another layer of palaces, enshrining an unknown number of sects of true immortals.
This is the front view of Jianji Temple. There are no walls or railings, and it is a completely open structure. Pilgrims do not have to pay to offer incense. There is an offering platform outside each hall, and incense and candles can be taken by yourself.
Zhao Ran kept looking inward, passing through the various palaces, and finally saw the red wall. Within the red wall was Jian Ji Guan, who commanded the jungles in all directions.
Zhao Ran stepped forward and handed over the documents and ultimatum, and the fire master in the living room took them and sent them inside.
Looking next to it, I saw that it was a large and spacious room just like Xuanyuan Temple. There were many people sitting in the room, all of whom had handed in greeting cards and were waiting to be summoned.
About an hour after burning the incense, the layman Huo Gong came out to greet Zhao Ran: "Abbot Zhao, please come with me."
The Huo Gong layman was leading the way, and Zhao Ran followed behind and asked: "This senior brother has invited me, but I wonder where we are going?"
The fireworker layman said: "I don't dare to take it seriously. I will lead Abbot Zhao to Yunshui Hall to stay. Later, the Taoist priest from Fangtang will come to see the Abbot."
After turning seven or eight turns, we entered through a moon gate. This was a small courtyard with a green bamboo forest, which seemed very quiet. There was no one else in the courtyard, only Zhao Ran himself, and Zhao Ran was quite satisfied with this.
After staying in a wing room, the fireman brought a pot of hot water, made tea for Zhao Ran, and said: "I have been told by the superiors, please rest here and wait for the time being, and don't wander around." Then.
Then he withdrew.
Zhao Ran had just been sitting in the room for a while, and before he had a drink of water, he heard footsteps. Two people came in from the outside and stood in the room, looking at Zhao Ran.
Zhao Ran stood up quickly, clasped his fists and bowed his head: "I've seen you two, don't know what to call them?"
The two people looked at Zhao Ran for a moment, then stretched out their hands to indicate: "Sit down."
When the two of them looked at Zhao Ran, Zhao Ran also looked at the two of them, and saw that they were both in their forties, with ordinary faces, nothing out of the ordinary. One had a red face, and the other had a dark complexion.
After the three of them sat across from each other, the red-faced Taoist asked: "Are you Zhao Zhiran? The abbot of Wujiyuan in Guyang County, Sichuan?"
Zhao Ran bowed slightly: "It's Pindao. You two are..."
The red-faced Taoist interrupted Zhao Ran: "Why are we here now? It's already six days too late!"
Zhao Ran explained: "I went to Lizhou and was not in Guyang County when I received the official document. I was delayed for some days. Please forgive me..."
The red-faced Taoist continued to interrupt him: "Where did you receive the official document? Why did you arrive late? That's your business. If you didn't arrive on time, do you know how much was delayed? Do you know how much trouble it added to the investigation of the case?
?”
Zhao Ran was immediately choked and speechless. After holding it in for a long time, he nodded: "Understood..."
The red-faced Taoist interrupted Zhao Ran again: "Just understand! You have hindered the investigation of the case, and you will be responsible for this crime... Now I ask you, do you know why Zong Guan recruited you to Lushan?"
After being interrupted many times in a row, no matter how good his temper was, Zhao Ran took a deep breath and said, "Who are you two?"
The red-faced Taoist waved his hand and said coldly: "It's not your turn to ask questions here. You will answer whatever we ask. Do you understand?"
"Who are you two?"
"Didn't you understand what I just said?"
"Who are you two? If you still don't clarify your identities and origins, I'm sorry, I have no choice but to see you off."
"What's your attitude?" The red-faced Taoist stood up and said angrily.
Zhao Ran raised his chin and said, "Get out!"
The red-faced Taoist was furious, pointed at Zhao Ran, and shouted: "Who are you? Do you know where you are? I warn you, don't try to fight against the General Guan to investigate the case, you will not end well!"
Zhao Ran said slowly: "This is the house where I live. If you don't go out, don't blame me for being rude to you!"
The red-faced Taoist sneered: "Zhao Zhiran, I know you are a monk and can also teach. If you have the ability, just try it and see if I am afraid or not?"
"Spells? No need!" Zhao Ran picked up the tea cup on the table... then took a sip, moistened his throat, suddenly stood up and walked to the door, shouting to the outside of the courtyard: "Who are you, there are gangsters"
Breaking into Yunshui Hall without permission! Come here quickly! There are two gangsters here..."
When he shouted, his true energy surged out, and it could be clearly heard in several surrounding courtyards. Immediately, footsteps could be heard, rushing towards here.
The two Taoists were furious, and the red-faced Taoist angrily scolded Zhao Ran: "Thanks to you for being a practicing monk, you actually used such despicable tricks..."
The black-faced Taoist couldn't help but speak this time, and shouted from the side: "Zhao Zhiran, put away your rogue face, this is Jian Jiguan, not your Wujiyuan in Guyang County! Shut up quickly and save some dignity for yourself.
!You don’t know how you became the abbot!”
Zhao Ran ignored him and continued to shout: "Come quickly! There are thieves robbing my room..."
Amidst the commotion, many people poured in outside the courtyard, most of them carrying sticks in their hands.
