Guangzhen is a monk from Taici Temple. He is only subordinate to the four leaders in the temple. He is also a direct disciple of the abbot Xuanci. Therefore, even the leader does not know his whereabouts. We only know that he has been away from home frequently in recent years and fell down one year.
He was away from the temple for more than half a year, so he said: "If I see him coming back to the temple, let him come to see me."
The monk who knew the guest said "yes" and left.
The first person came to the Zen room in the backyard and went straight to the abbot's courtyard, but did not see the abbot Master Xuansheng. He heard from the monks in the abbot's courtyard that Master Xuansheng was at Yinming Hall, so he turned to Yinming Hall.
When we arrived at the back mountain stream, a simple white low wall surrounded a lonely Buddhist hall. This is where abbot Xuanci practices daily.
Although the first one is at the pinnacle of the Arhat realm, has passed the examination and insight wisdom, and is only one step away from the Bodhisattva realm, he still dares not to take even half a step into this hall of fame.
He stepped forward and carefully knocked on the door of the low wall. Someone in the Buddhist hall said: "My nephew is here? Come in." The person who spoke was none other than the abbot Master Xuansheng.
After receiving the abbot's approval, the first one opened the door. After entering, he gently closed the door, turned around, and stepped into the Buddhist hall.
In the Buddhist hall, which is so simple that it can be called a shabby room, there is only one statue of Asanga Bodhisattva. Under the statue of Bodhisattva, two old monks are sitting opposite each other and chatting.
The tall man on the left with a majestic face is the abbot of Taici Temple, Master Xuan Sheng, who has entered the Bodhisattva state. Since Master Xuan Sheng entered the Bodhisattva state thirty years ago, he has been able to continuously defeat the wisdom of abandonment of conduct and the wisdom of following, and ten years later,
Five years ago, I was able to break through caste wisdom and enter the highest realm of insight wisdom. I am already a top figure among the Bodhisattva realm monks in Xixia Buddhism. I am only half a step away from opening up the realm of consciousness and achieving the status of Buddha.
The old monk on the right is much smaller than Xuansheng. Sitting on a futon, he is only half the size of Xuansheng. He has white hair and white beard, making him look extremely old. This old monk is one of the five pillars of Xixia Buddhism.
Master Xuanci, who attained the status of Buddha, and was granted the title of Protector and Protector of the State by the Lord of the Kingdom.

Xuanci looked at the leader with a smile and gestured for him to take a seat, so the leader took a futon, sat next to the two of them, and said: "I just received a letter from the Golden Needle Hall of Tianlongyuan, saying that the Taoist sect is causing nuisance in the Jinchuan and Jinchuan areas of Tubo.

Abbot Xuan Sheng nodded and said: "I already know about this matter. I will take care of Guangzhen's affairs. You can check the other people in the temple. If there are any in the south, let them come back."
After the chief made his report, he went out. After he left, abbot Xuan Sheng looked at Abbot Xuan Ci and said, "Senior brother, the Taoist sect has already noticed something."
Xuanci nodded and said nothing.
Xuansheng said again: "Senior brother, please think about it again?"
Xuanci did not answer his words, but suddenly talked about the cultivation of Buddhism: "We practice Buddhism and open up the six consciousnesses, which are eye consciousness, ear consciousness, nose consciousness, tongue consciousness, body consciousness, and consciousness. The world calls you
Bodhisattva, respect me as the Buddha. In fact, you and I both know that I am just wandering outside the gate of the West. How can I dare to claim this in vain?"
Xuansheng nodded: "Senior brother is right, please remember this. This realm has no name, and the name has no reality. Senior brother often teaches us that this is the ladder of cultivation, which helps us to climb. If we rely on this ladder to practice, we will abandon our roots.
, always only on this ladder."
Xuanci nodded and continued: "The six consciousnesses are not the origin, but the external appearance. Therefore, what we really practice is the sixteen insight wisdom, so as to change the delusion in the original mind, get rid of the confusion of name and form, and seek the other side.
Over the years, I often look back, from the first knowledge of name and color recognition to the fourteenth caste wisdom, they are all in the human world. You are now caste wisdom, which is the pinnacle of the world of body consciousness. People in the world call you Bodhisattva, but in fact you are still the same.
In the human world, you must not be arrogant. You must know that your body is not in this world, but your heart is still in this world, and you have not been freed from the shackles. You must know how to love others, know how to do good, know that everything is suffering, understand that all things are like smoke, and you will not become a saint because of your body.
He despises the world based on his caste and is superior to the world."
Xuan Sheng said hurriedly: "Junior brother dare not."
Xuanci said: "Junior brother, work hard. I have great promises for you, senior brother. I hope you will open the realm of consciousness as soon as possible, cut off confusion, and be born in the heart."
After hearing what the abbot said, Xuansheng was shocked: "Brother..."
Xuanci raised his hand to stop him and continued: "After the realm of consciousness is opened, there is the Buddha's position as people say. This realm requires the realization of Tao wisdom, fruition wisdom, and reflection wisdom. The first two, body and mind, have already been born, not in the human world. The last one is
Wisdom, return to the world, reflect on the past path and the results..."
Faced with the teachings taught by the senior abbot, Xuansheng did not dare to neglect and remembered them with all his heart.
"...the wisdom of the path arises from the mind of the path, and the mind of the path is aided by the wisdom of caste. This wisdom is the right view in the Eightfold Path, that is, the right view in the Four Noble Truths. Its wisdom is like thunder and lightning, stronger and brighter, suddenly rising up
, passes away suddenly. When the Tao mind is first born, it is called the path of entry into the stream. It is reborn three times on the higher path and fruit. When it becomes holy, it no longer falls into the four evil realms. This wisdom is happiness, which is transcendental happiness.
The four worldly wisdoms are divided into the sotapanna path - this is called the stream-entry consciousness, the stagami path - this is called the one-come consciousness, the anagami path - this is called the non-return consciousness, and the arahant path - this is the
Arahant consciousness..."
Dao wisdom is the fourteenth wisdom among the sixteen insight wisdoms, and it is also the first hurdle that needs to be faced after entering the Buddha realm. Xuansheng is now at the peak of the Bodhisattva realm. Maybe when an opportunity comes, he will enter the Buddha realm. Therefore, Xuan Sheng
Ci's exposition of Tao Zhi was the most detailed, and Xuan Sheng himself listened very attentively.
After talking about Tao wisdom, Xuanci went on to talk about Fruition wisdom. After talking about Fruition wisdom, he went on to talk about the last wisdom among the sixteen insight wisdoms, the wisdom of reflection. By the time they were all finished, a day and a night had passed.
The two sat facing each other in silence for a long time before Xuanci asked, "Do you remember them all?"
Xuan Sheng said: "I have written it all down, but I still can't understand it."
Xuanci smiled: "It doesn't matter, that's because you didn't walk over. When you walked over, you would see it."
Xuansheng kowtowed and thanked him profusely: "Thank you for your hard work, senior brother." After getting up, he looked at the abbot, senior brother, and was speechless for a long time.
Xuanci said: "You need to know that I can't see through this. Twenty years ago I began to examine the world, and the past events are still vivid in my mind. One by one, one by one, everything that can be let go has been given away, and I can't let it go.
Those who are gone need to be resolved. People who are bound to reincarnation are trapped by the ten obstacles: wrong views, doubts about teachings, abstinence and views, desire and greed, anger, sexual greed, colorless greed, conceit, and restlessness. These nine
I have seen through the obstacles. The last obstacle is ignorance. I have also seen through it, but it must be ended."
After a pause, Xuanci sighed and said, "Guang Xin's death must be ended, either by him or by myself."
