Chapter 2 It was a smooth first transaction

After a flash of blue light, Ryan appeared on the street of a small town carrying a schoolbag. There were no people on the street, and there were no zombies as expected.

Ryan looked at the town curiously. There were various debris placed on the road as roadblocks. In the center of the town at the end of the road, you could clearly see a house with a yard. There seemed to be people moving inside.

After checking the system, Ryan quickly knew that the house was the destination. In this case, Ryan took a deep breath, took out the engineer shovel from his bag, held it in his hand, and walked towards the house with his legs.

There were a lot of roadblocks on the road, but they were obviously aimed at the zombies who were going straight. As an 11-year-old child, Ryan easily passed through the gaps in the roadblocks and kept advancing towards the house in the center of the town.

There were many zombies with their heads separated near the roadblocks and even on the roadblocks. It seemed that a battle had broken out here before. Fortunately, there were not many scattered zombies and they did not block the road. It only took Ryan a little time.

Just bypassed them.

Just when Ryan was about ten meters away from his destination, he found that the gap between the two roadblocks at the last obstacle in front was blocked by a fallen zombie, while the rest of the road seemed to take a long detour.

Ryan was just about to step forward and move the zombie away when he suddenly discovered that although the zombie only had its upper half, its head was still there.

In the game, zombies can only count if they are knocked off their heads. Thinking of this, Ryan broke out in cold sweat. Fortunately, he was cautious and did not step forward immediately. This half of the zombie would probably not be able to move without the lower half, so he stayed here and waited. If he rushed up rashly,

Move it, maybe your brain will become a zombie's breakfast.

Since he felt something was wrong, Ryan naturally had to be prepared. Fortunately, he had everything he needed in his schoolbag. He poured out the windproof lighter oil and applied it on the bandage, then found a long wooden stick with forks in the front and wrapped it around the bandage.

Then he lit it. Finally, he poked the torch directly on the zombie's head.

Sure enough, the zombie was seriously injured and was waiting for help. The moment the torch was poked at him, the zombie began to scratch with both arms, trying to attack the person who injured him with the torch.

However, after Ryan inserted a long forked wooden stick into his head, he inserted the other end diagonally into the ground to form a solid triangle. It was obvious that this half-zombie without legs had no ability to escape the flames and hurt Ryan.

As time went by, the flame gradually became smaller and smaller, and the swing of the zombie's arms became smaller and smaller. Finally, the flame disappeared and the zombie stopped moving.

Ryan poked the zombie's head with a stick, and the head suddenly fell off, and then the whole body turned into black ashes. Ryan was startled by this situation, and then he remembered that zombies that are burned in the game will turn into ashes.

.

This should be regarded as the first monster killed, Ryan thought, but unfortunately the system is not a monster-killing and upgrading type, and the zombies left nothing but a pile of ashes.

After passing this roadblock, Ryan finally stood in front of the door of his destination. He raised his hand and pressed the doorbell. He heard a jingling sound coming from the house, as if a person had stumbled and knocked down a lot of things.

The door opened, and a middle-aged man with an iron pot on his head stood at the door holding a baseball bat.

"Did the zombie ring the doorbell? Where is it? Come out quickly."

"Sir, I am a human being, and you need to lower your head and look down."

The man lowered his head and looked at Ryan. Ryan also noticed that the man's eyes were different in size, and he seemed to be mentally disturbed. This should be the plant cultivation scientist in the game, Crazy Dave.

"Come in quickly, kid, the zombies have been hiding in the dark and are ready to eat our brains." Dave reached out and pulled Ryan into the door, and then closed the door.

"I should have thought it was human. After all, if a zombie knocks on the door, my precious plants won't be unresponsive."

"By the way." After Dave led Ryan to the living room and sat down, he began to ask: "The situation outside is probably not suitable for a child to travel alone. Why did you show up at my door?"

Ryan was a little uncomfortable with this straightforward style. After thinking about it, he decided to tell the truth: "I am a store owner. I heard that you have magical plants here, so I want to trade with you."

"Although the reason doesn't sound reasonable at all, Dave's plants told Dave that you are telling the truth." Dave, who was sitting on the sofa, replied while loosening the soil for a sunflower in a flower pot.

"However, my things are incredibly expensive. How can you buy them from me?"

Ryan reached into his bag and pulled out tacos and hot sauce.

"I think these foods of mine may be what you need, because I think it will be difficult for people to see some industrially processed foods in this bad situation. And I may go to many places and meet many people in the future, maybe I can find some

There has never been a plant in this world where we can help each other in the future."

Dave quickly grabbed the tacos and hot sauce. "Oh my god, tacos and hot sauce. I haven't seen them in a long time, since the damn zombies surrounded the town. Unfortunately, these don't exactly meet my requirements, but

It’s better than pea puree every day.”

"Okay, kid." Dave put down the items and looked at Ryan. "I admit that your goods made me a little tempted, but you can only exchange these for three basic plants. This is what I saw after you have been here for such a long time.

The first outsider and the future cooperation you propose are preferential. Otherwise, I will only give you a plant."

"Thank you, Uncle Dave." Ryan looked at the list of plants given by Dave and said, "I've thought about it, please give me sunflowers, pea shooters and sunshine mushrooms."

After listening to Ryan's request, Dave took out three bags and a key and handed them to Ryan, saying: "Ah, you are a smart man. You know that no matter how big the garden is, it must start with the most basic plants. This one

The key belongs to the neighbor's house. He didn't listen to my advice and his brain was eaten by zombies. You can come over there next time and you won't have to travel so far."

As soon as Ryan took these things, the voice of the system came from his mind.

Ding dong

Store owner, you have completed your first transaction task

Obtain a micro-planting base (neighbor's yard), which can provide up to ten plants of each type per week

Free connection to the world of Plants vs. Zombies. The shuttle point in this world has been fixed. Dave’s neighbor’s house

Can return now

Ryan said hello to Dave, walked from the back door of Dave's yard to the next yard, and then chose to return.

Dave saw Ryan disappearing after a blue light flashed through the crack of the door, and muttered: "Sure enough, Dave now has a unique customer. Maybe the hope of ending the war with zombies lies with him."

Okay. Okay, it's time for Dave to prepare lunch. We have fresh tacos today, which are great."
