Chapter 315 Is there such a thing?

Digging a swimming pool in the yard was an idea Richard had had for a long time, but he was always busy with things and always delayed it.

This time he decided to just do it. When he got home, he immediately contacted relevant people to start the construction. It was not a particularly complicated project in the first place, and the swimming pool was completed in a week.

Jessica was the first one who couldn't wait to test the water. This girl even prepared her swimsuit early, so she couldn't wait to change into battle and jump in to experience it for herself. It's hard to tell that this strange girl is surprisingly good at water.

It looks like a smart fish swimming in the water.

After swimming two laps, Jessica returned to the shore. As if to show off, she lay on the edge of the water and basked in the sun.

Richard glanced sideways. Although Jessica dressed up as a tomboy all day long and her hair was always messy, her figure was really good. She was thin where she should be and curvy where she should be. She was curvy and fair.

It's quite pleasing to the eye.

As if realizing that someone was watching, Jessica lazily changed her pose, as if she was deliberately showing off her superiority. Fortunately, Gwen was not at home at the moment, otherwise she would have been so angry that she would become autistic...

Richard's face was expressionless: "I remember you said that the Spider-Man manuscript could be handed over to me before tonight? Has it been finished?"

"No." Jessica admitted flatly, "But isn't there a new swimming pool? I'll have a swim first and then go back to write to be more inspired and have smoother thinking!"

Oh, you dare to talk back now. Richard smiled: "I see that you don't seem to be nervous lately. You are living quite leisurely every day. Do you have no motivation anymore?"

"Yes, yes." Jessica nodded, "I don't have any bonuses to deduct, so why should I be nervous?"

Richard: "..."

Could this be the legendary dead pig that is not afraid of being scalded by boiling water until it reaches the deadline?

The bonus was deducted too much, and Jessica seemed to be immune to this trick...

Thinking about it this way, Jessica seemed a bit pitiful, so Richard decided to let her go and not hold her responsible for slacking off for the time being...until night.

"Where was Gwen again today? Avengers Tower?"

Richard found that Gwen seemed to be getting busier and busier recently, running out every day except for school.

Jessica was a little unhappy. A beauty with a face and figure like me in a swimsuit was right in front of me, but what you were thinking about was the airport?

To be honest, it’s actually quite promising that Gwen has taken adequate nutritional supplements recently, but due to her young age and lack of talent, in Jessica’s eyes, she’s still an airport...

Jessica lay on the edge of the swimming pool and narrowed her eyes at the boss: "Boss, although it is cruel, I still have to mention... Gwen will no longer be a minor soon..."

Richard's face darkened: "What are you thinking about again? I look like the kind of person who is interested in little girls' swimsuits...Hmm, wait a minute, you mean she's almost an adult?"

Jessica smiled: "Boss, you don't care at all. Gwen's eighteenth birthday will be in one month and she will no longer be a minor."

Her tone suddenly rose, as if she had regained her confidence. In her opinion, the main reason why her status in this family was inferior to Gwen was that she was underage, and now they were about to return to the same starting line!

Saying this, time flies really fast. So much time has passed in a flash, and even Gwen has almost grown up...

"Gwen is busy with graduation season." Jessica then answered the previous question, "She is about to graduate from high school and has been very busy these days."

Richard remembered. I remembered that I had seen similar graduation scenes in old American movies before. It seemed that the parents of the students had to be present that day?

But here comes the question, where does Gwen come from as a parent? You can’t arrest Director Stacey to attend for her, right? When the time comes, Director Stacy will look at the little Gwen at home and the big Gwen in front of her.

The old director may feel dizzy...

After hearing this question, Jessica just shrugged: "Who knows? Maybe she has her own arrangements?"

After saying that, she turned around and plunged back into the water, swimming away nimbly with a line of water behind her.

She has her own arrangements...what other arrangements could she have?

Richard suddenly had a strong premonition.

Sure enough, that night, Gwen appeared in front of Richard with some embarrassment.

"Let me replace...your father?" Richard raised his eyebrows.

Gwen waved her hands repeatedly: "No, no, it's my brother."

"But you realize that we are all of different races, right?" Richard spread his hands. We are of different races. How can we replace him? Is the school teacher not a StarCraft player?

"It doesn't matter. I've already explained it to the teacher. I said I have about a quarter of Oriental blood..."

"Then your teacher believed it?"

"I believe it."

Richard wanted to complain, but then he thought about how a young girl with no identity, no status, and no money smuggled in from another world and transferred to this school casually. The school's reliability was not that high in the first place.

.

"If it bothers you, forget it." Gwen added, "I can think of other ways..."

Richard smiled. Looking at her pitiful look, how could he refuse?

Anyway, it wasn't a big deal in the first place. Richard had just been relaxing recently. He had never seen the graduation ceremony of an old American high school student, so there was nothing wrong with going there.

So he readily nodded in agreement.

After all, it was more or less a formal occasion, so Richard put on a decent formal suit and put on a pair of flat glasses to make the overall image look more refreshing.

Gwen is worthy of being Gwen. In any parallel time and space, she will be a proper first-class academic. Gwen's classmates here have not embarrassed themselves in countless parallel time and space. They have excellent grades and good morals and academics. They are unanimously elected by the teachers.

The graduate representative of this year took the stage to give a speech.

Gwen's image is quite photogenic today, with her bachelor's hat tilted on her golden little head, and the bright sunshine slanting down, making the picture exceptionally harmonious.

Richard stood among the parents in the audience and listened, and soon he heard some parents talking quietly.

"This child is really outstanding. She has excellent grades, good eloquence, and is quite cute. It would be great if our children were half as good as her..."

"She seems to be in the same class as my child. She seems to be named...Gwen? Our children say she is a strange girl, with an withdrawn personality and a bit out of tune with other students."

"Ah? Is that so?"

"Our child said the same thing. She said that Gwen is a bit of a nerd. She never participates in group activities after class and is mysterious and doesn't know what she is doing all day long. If you ask me, such a child may have a personality problem...

"

As long as one parent raises objections, countless parents will agree. After a while, the parents have reached an agreement based on this few words - the little girl named Gwen on the stage is a strange teenager with an withdrawn personality and psychological problems.

In fact, no one seems to have any concrete evidence when it comes to it. It is just a rumor based on what you say and what I say. Anyway, you don’t get paid for gossiping.

And this is also a very common psychology - finding out the flaws of outstanding people can help many people gain psychological balance. The proposition "that outstanding girl has a mental disorder" can make the psychological gap among parents slightly smaller.

In this way, they can tell themselves that the excellence of their children is a matter of course.

But the conversation was overheard by Richard, who is currently playing the role of parent.

Oh, you actually said bad things about our Gwen behind our back? This is unbearable. So Richard also smiled and joined in the conversation: "No, I heard many teachers and students said it, and Gwen was happy

Helping others, treating others with enthusiasm, respecting teachers, being smart, and having a good attitude towards learning... He is a rare and outstanding student!"
