Chapter 90 Death

Tyr found the wizard Doranor in an abandoned wooden house, which confirmed Reggie and Batchelor's ideas. He really wanted to kill the wizard.

He successfully got rid of Batchelor, as well as Roland and Will Rogers, but he didn't expect that there was another person beside Doranor, the God of Death, Modeza.

For Modesa, dealing with Tyr is easier than dealing with a rabbit.

When Reggie arrived, the wooden house was already surrounded. Modesa grabbed Tire's hair with one hand and put a short knife against Tire's throat with the other hand, looking at everyone calmly.

Unexpectedly, Modesa did not leave with Diachto, but stayed here, and was still with Doranor.

After the previous battle, Reggie knew very well the strength of Modessa. If he wanted to kill someone, Tyre would have already been dead. If he wanted to escape, no one here could stop him.

However, it was not that easy for him to escape with Doranor. The poor wizard was seriously injured and lay on the hay in the wooden house, dying.

Seeing Reggie coming, Modesa, who had been silent, finally spoke.

"You can do whatever you want. All I ask is that you let him have a mouthful of hot soup, just one mouthful."

There was a pile of firewood in the wooden house, and an old earthen pot was placed on the firewood. A rabbit was cooked in the earthen pot. In the past day, this was the only food Modesa found.

"Your name is Modessa, right," Reggie walked into the wooden house carefully, looked at the wizard, and said, "His condition doesn't seem to be very good."

"You can kill him, or you can kill me." There was almost no emotion in Modesa's voice. "I repeat, I beg you to let him take a sip of hot soup."

"I think he needs more than just hot soup." Reggie took a step forward. Modessa's dagger trembled slightly, and a bloodstain appeared on Tyr's neck. Although it was not fatal, it made Tyr cry.

Tears were shed and a cry was made.

"Don't be impulsive, my friend, I mean, besides hot soup, he needs to eat something else," Reggie took out a large piece of bread, took a bite and said, "See clearly, it's not poisonous."

He threw the bread into the earthen jar, then took out a piece of bacon, took a bite, and threw it into the earthen jar.

"You see, I don't mean any harm," Reggie raised his hands and said, "I'm standing here. You can kill me at any time, but before that, please let go of my guards."

Modessa looked at the bread and bacon in the earthen pot, and then at Reggie.

He pushed Tyer to Reggie's side, then picked up a wooden stick and began to stir the soup in the earthen pot.

Two pounds of bread, one pound of bacon, and a rabbit turned a pot of soup into a pot of porridge. Modesa came to Dolanor carrying the earthen pot and holding a rusty spoon.

, carefully fed the porridge into Doranor's mouth.

He didn't care about Reggie's existence, nor the dozens of arrows and more than a dozen grenades surrounding him.

The wizard was very hungry and ate every bite in a hurry. Only when most of the porridge was eaten did Doranor wave his hand towards Modessa to show that he was full.

Modesa poured the last bit of porridge into her mouth, stood up, and said calmly to Reggie: "Let's do it."

"Uh...are you serious?" Reggie was still a little nervous. He knew that Modeza could kill him at any time.

Modesa remained silent and stretched out his hands.

This was a slave's way of showing submission. When Erwin saw this, he immediately asked the guards to bring the chains. The guards were about to step forward and tie Modesa up, but were stopped by Reggie.

Reggie turned back to Batchelor and said, "Call your waiter and take the wizard to the hospital first."

The waiters stepped forward and carried Dolanor onto the stretcher. Reggie explained on the side: "We will not hurt this old gentleman, we just want to..."

"You can do whatever you want with him," Modesa said dully. "When I was about to be beaten to death by my master, he gave me a can of hot soup. Now I owe him nothing."

This was an understatement, but in fact, what Modeza gave Doravel was not a can of soup, but a life.

Reggie looked at the thin man with respect and admiration in his eyes.

"What should I do with you?"

"I said, it's up to you to do whatever you want."

"Okay, I believe you are a man of your word," Reggie said, "come back to the castle with me first."

Along the way, Modesa didn't make any resistance, or even have any intention of escaping. He was still wearing the guard's armor, but there was only a layer of single clothes underneath the armor. Maybe it was because Diachto couldn't find clothes that fit him, or maybe it was because

Slaves are not worthy of wearing warm cotton clothes. Diakh could not help but shiver in the cold wind, but he never stopped.

Being able to face death so calmly made Erwin respect him even more.

Back at the castle, Reggie made Modessa sit in the living room and poured him a glass of ale. Modessa drank it in one gulp. Reggie asked someone to give him some bread and bacon, and Modessa also gave him some bread and bacon.

I ate it without hesitation.

Reggie asked, "What else do you want?"

Modesa shook his head and said: "I don't want anything. You can use any criminal method to torture me. I won't resist. Just do it."

"We will talk about torture later. Can you answer a few questions for me first?"

Modessa nodded.

"First question, why didn't you escape with Viscount Mitocton?"

"The defeated must be punished, be demoted, and have their land confiscated," Modesa said. "I am a slave. I have nothing. If I go back, I can only be executed."

"The same goes for Doranor?"

"I don't know. He is a wizard. Maybe he will be handed over to the God of Punishment and suffer more torture."

"How long have you been a slave?"

"I don't know," Modessa shook her head. "I have known that I was a slave since I could remember."

"If I give you freedom, will you stay in Broken Snow City?"

Modesa was still shaking his head: "I don't know what freedom is. I will go wherever you want me to go."

Reggie asked the last question: "If you stay in Shattering Snow City, will you work for me?"

"You...want to be my master?" Modesa really couldn't figure out Reggie's intention.

"Not a master, but a lord," Reggie explained, "I want you to become my subject, and it's best to accept my employment."

"What's the difference between lord and master?"

"The difference is that I will give you the power to choose, and you will have enough time to consider my suggestions."

Reggie asked Erwin to send Modessa to an abandoned house. The house was small and dilapidated, but it was quite well-stocked. Modessa touched the kettle on the table and then touched the bed.

took the blanket and said to Erwin: "Is this your prison?"

"You really have a sharp tongue. Have you ever seen such a comfortable cell?" Erwin smiled, "You are very lucky. The Lord likes you. This is the residence he gave you. You can think about it carefully here.

If you want to stay in Shattering Snow City, do you want to work for the lord?"

Erwin turned to leave, but Modessa called out: "Don't you need to lock me up? There aren't even guards here?"

Erwin was a little impatient: "My Lord said, you are not a slave."

"I am a slave of the Golden Eagle Kingdom, and I may even assassinate your lord."

"Really?" Erwin smiled, "I don't mind fighting you again. I won't lose this time."

The carriage trekked in the wind and snow for five full days, and Sophia, Sean and Gwen finally arrived at Snow Bear City.

This is the oldest and richest city in the Bayer Kingdom. All the buildings in Snow Bear City have strong characteristics of the Bayer people. They like to use pure white stone to build tall domed buildings, especially their palace.

Wrapped in silver, the magnificent Silver Bear Castle will give people a strong sense of shock and oppression.

Sophia was a little worried about what she should say when she saw the king.

In short, just give all the credit for Golden Light City to Sean, she really doesn't care about this.

The Prime Minister warmly received everyone. He asked Sophia to wait in the outer hall first, and said to Sean and Gwen: "Your Majesty first summons His Royal Highness the Prince and the Assistant Minister."

Sophia didn't say anything. It seemed that she was worrying too much.

As before, she was always the last one to be summoned. Maybe her father didn't want to see her at all. Even if he saw her, he would only say a few perfunctory greetings. As for things during the war, he would not ask Su

Fea, he only believed in his son and the auxiliary minister.

As noon approached, Sean walked out of the inner hall and said to Sophia: "Father wants to see you."

Sophia nodded, and just as she was about to walk to the inner hall, she heard Sean say again: "I told my father the truth, all the truth, and I didn't steal your credit. I also lost my position as crown prince for this."

Sophia looked at Sean in shock, and Sean looked at Sophia with a smile: "Go, my sister, my father has decided to choose you as the new crown prince. I firmly believe that you will become a great queen. I am willing to

I will serve you with my flesh and blood for the rest of my life."
