Chapter 16 A little clue

Luo Qiwei had just come back, and Qian Ziming walked in right after him. After taking a breath, he said, "Captain, we have found out. That yard was rented by a young man two years ago."

"Does the landlord know that person?"

Qian Ziming shook his head and said, "I don't know him, but Yang Hu brought that person here, so the landlord didn't leave any information about the renter."

"Yang Hu? Which Yang Hu is it?"

Luo Qiwei felt a light flash in his mind, and when he wanted to catch it, he found that there was no trace of it.

"It's Yang Hu, captain of the Detective Team of Qinhuai District Police Station. It was only because of his presence that the landlord dared to rent out the house like this."

Luo Qiwei frowned, an idea was about to pop up in his mind, but it was always just a little short of it...

Qian Ziming didn't dare to disturb him, so he had to sit by the window and watch the people coming and going in the alley.

In the evening, Liu Xingchang came back and said excitedly: "Captain, we have figured out the identity of that person. His name is Hu Pinghui, and he is a worker working at the dock."

"There were five people in the yard. Apart from him, the other four were a candied haws seller, a rickshaw driver, a roadside shoe shiner, and a newspaper seller."

"Why do people in these professions gather in one courtyard?"

"Then I don't know." Liu Xingchang shook his head and said, "But that guy Hu Pinghui is really alert. He was wandering around the city today, and I was almost discovered by him several times."

These words made Qian Ziming next to him a little surprised and asked: "Is there anyone else who can detect your following?"

Liu Xingchang also said with some uncertainty: "I don't know if he found me, but this person has a very strong tracking ability."

Luo Qiwei nodded, thinking of some of his speculations in the morning. If they were true, Fang Yi's tracking might have fallen into the eyes of these people.

After a while, Fang Yi came back and said breathlessly: "After get off work today, Fu Cheng seemed to have gone crazy and wandered around the city."

"No." Luo Qiwei suddenly said: "I'm afraid Fu Cheng has noticed Fang Yi's following. My suggestion is to give up tracking immediately and switch to fixed-point surveillance."

"Fang Yi, you are monitoring near Damao Mao Bank. Qian Ziming, you find another location in Tongzi Lane to monitor. Liu Xingchang, your mission remains unchanged. You are still paying attention to the movements of the few people in the yard."

"Since the other party is so alert and looks like a big fish, we must be careful not to let the big fish get away."

Fang Yi and Qian Ziming nodded, and Liu Xingchang asked a little strangely: "Why not just arrest them? It would save trouble."

Luo Qiwei did not answer, but Fang Yi and Qian Ziming looked at him as if they were caring for mentally retarded children...

The next day, as soon as Luo Qiwei arrived at the intelligence office, Gu Qiaofeng handed over a document and said: "Captain, this is a secret report, you can take a look."

Luo Qiwei took it, sat down in his seat, and opened the document. There was a sentence written inside: "Jiang Jie was suspected of betraying state secrets and was arrested by the Qinhuai District Police Station. He is preparing to be shot at two o'clock in the afternoon."

Luo Qiwei closed the document, looked at Gu Qiaofeng and asked: "What do you think about this case?"

Gu Qiaofeng thought for a moment and said, "After receiving this news, I immediately found out that the evidence that Jiang Jie is a spy does not seem to be very sufficient."

"In that case." Luo Qiwei pondered for a moment and said, "I will go to Section Chief Tang later and ask him to transfer this case to us."

Gu Qiaofeng asked a little strangely: "Turn around, can we have so much energy?"

A mysterious smile appeared on Luo Qiwei's face, and he said with a smile: "Just wait, maybe there will be an unexpected surprise."

Tang Zhengqi heard that Luo Qiwei was transferring a suspected spy from the police station to the intelligence office. Without saying a word, he made a phone call and said, "Okay, go and wait."

At around ten o'clock, Luo Qiwei saw a bruised Jiang Jie in the interrogation room. His injuries were so serious that he could not sit up at all.

"I didn't expect that, Captain Luo, you are from Lixingshe. No wonder Yang Bing sees you like a cat seeing a mouse."

"Tell me about it!" Luo Qiwei looked at the evidence and asked calmly: "Why do they say you are a spy?"

"I don't know." Jiang Jie shook his head and said, "Not long after you left yesterday, Yang Hu arrested me and insisted that I was a spy. Look at the injuries on my body, that's how they came about."

"So you admit it because you can't survive the punishment?"

"What are you admitting?" Jiang Jie saw his fingerprints on the confession and said sadly: "They took advantage of my unconsciousness to forge a confession, and that's what happened."

Luo Qiwei nodded. This kind of thing is very common in the police station. He didn't say anything. He just said lightly: "Just stay here. A doctor will treat your injuries later."

"But if I find out that you are a spy, your consequences will be ten times more severe than they are now. Think about it carefully."

After speaking, Luo Qiwei took the evidence and confessed, returned to the special operations team, called Gu Qiaofeng, and ordered: "Go and verify the content here and see if there is any contact with that Yang Hu?"

"Do you doubt Yang Hu?"

Luo Qiwei smiled and said: "The evidence above looks very real. If Jiang Jie didn't do it, then who do you think is more likely to do it?"

Gu Qiaofeng nodded thoughtfully, turned and left...

Leaning back on the chair, Luo Qiwei recalled the events of the past two days, always feeling like a mess and upsetting.

But he believed that as long as he found a thread and sorted out this mess, it would be an easy task.

This is when news came from the telecommunications department. Abnormal radio waves were found near the Dongzhou Chamber of Commerce, but the time was short and there was no time to determine the location.

Looking at the map, I circled Tongzi Lane, Damao Mao Company, and Dongzhou Chamber of Commerce, and found that these three places were strangely in a straight line.

Thinking of Fu Cheng's route to work, Luo Qiwei decided to go and see for himself to see if he could find any abnormalities...

After changing into casual clothes, they came to the vicinity of Damao Foreign Trade Co., Ltd., looking at the people coming and going, Luo Qiwei and Fang Yi looked at each other, called a rickshaw, and slowly followed the route taken by Fu Cheng, heading towards Tongzi Alley.

The coachman was a talkative person, and after walking a short distance, he started chatting.

What about the Forty-eight Scenes of Nanjing, and other strange stories? In short, most of the time, it was the coachman who talked about it, while Luo Qiwei listened and occasionally added a few words.

While passing through Chenguang Road, the driver suddenly said: "I picked up a guest a few days ago. After entering this street, he asked me to stop for a while and then start again."

These words made Luo Qiwei perk up instantly, but he still asked in a very calm tone: "It's normal for guests to ask for parking."

"Of course." The coachman said with a smile: "When parking, you always stare at the balcony on the left. That's a bit abnormal. Maybe you want to make a private agreement with a lady from somewhere?"

After finally listening to the coachman finish his guess, he asked: "Where did you pick up that guest?"

"It's near the foreign bank." The coachman replied matter-of-factly: "I usually take jobs there, and the people there are very generous."

"Then can you tell me about that guest?"

The coachman smiled and described the man's face. It was very similar to Fu Cheng's. It seemed that he was definitely Fu Cheng.

In Tongzi Lane, Luo Qiwei took out five yuan from his pocket, handed it to the driver and said: "You stay at home for the next half month and don't go out to drive, otherwise something bad will happen."

The driver wanted to say something, but when he saw the gun exposed from Luo Qiwei's waist, he immediately nodded and said: "From now on, I will be sick and will not get out of the car."

Luo Qiwei nodded with satisfaction...
