【73】Bodhisattva Valley

The terrain of Bodhisattva Valley is higher than that of the main city of Ashina. It is just southeast of Ashina and adjacent to Senbo Temple. Going a little further west is the bottom of the bottom of Ashina.

There is a river formed by the water from the source here, winding down through Xianfeng Temple. It falls from the cliff and becomes a waterfall. In addition, there are stone Buddha statues built in the valley at an unknown time, so it is called Bodhisattva Valley.

Han Baiyi's destination is here.

Speaking of which, Ashina Land is really not a place suitable for ordinary people to live.

Just a walk from the main city to Bodhisattva Valley takes at most five or six minutes in the game. Han Baiyi killed nearly twenty mobs with force.

There are resentful souls, "Snake Eyes", a hybrid descendant of Yujia Mei, and "Long Hands and Hundred Feet", a biochemical weapon developed by Xianfeng Temple.

This is the result of him flying all the way here without daring to stop even a step.

These bad guys are too aggressive.

Here I have to highlight these bad guys called Snake Eyes!

They are the descendants of ancient Yujia beauties who interbred with ordinary people and were mixed. There are only women and no men in the group (refer to the method of reproduction by bandits who snatched the village wives).

Because she is of mixed race, she does not inherit all the appearance of the Yujia beauty. She only has a pair of snake-like eyes with vertical pupils.

In addition, I don’t know what happened to those Snake Eyes. They were clearly in the 12th and 13th centuries, and they all had long-barreled rifles that looked like 98k in their hands.

Although the power is not very good, they are really damn accurate!

When he first met Snake Eyes, the real old Yinbi was hiding behind the bushes, and Han Baiyi, who had just mastered the flying skills of the three-dimensional maneuvering device, was racing all the way in the air.

The moment he passed by, the old Yinbi shot the flying claw without saying a word, breaking a corner of the flying claw, allowing Han Baiyi to experience the pleasure of bungee jumping from a falling object for the first time.

If it weren't for his quick eyesight and quick hands, Han Baiyi might have become the first protagonist in history to die from a fall.

As for the subsequent operations, it goes without saying. The exposed sniper = dead sniper. The snake-eyed girl was approached by Han Baiyi in a mother-like manner, and she was hit with a straight slash and a combo. Her face was filled with pain while she was panting violently.

.

This journey has been extremely difficult!

Akimbo.

But to be honest, Han Baiyi didn't have much idea about the goal of this mission.

Master Xianfeng, this is a character who is relatively familiar to me, but very strange to me.

In the original plot of the game, Master Xianfeng achieved many firsts in this world.

For example, he was the first to believe in Yinglong, the first to betray Baldhead, the first to be possessed by insects, the first to found Xianfeng Temple, the first to compose Xianfeng Boxing, etc.

Judging from the history of the game, this is a character who is crazy about pursuing immortality.

But he also has many contradictions.

According to the story in the game, the Immortal Sword that can cut off the undead, that is, the two knives of 'Opening the Door' and 'Weeping Tears', were initially kept by Master Xianfeng, which is why he is familiar with them.

If you follow the game flow, the protagonist ‘Wolf’’s Immortal Slash can only be obtained from the son of Bianruo in Xianfeng Temple. There is currently no way to obtain the black knife to open the door in the game.

The origin of the red knife's tears is unknown, but the black knife opening the door must have a deep connection with Buddhism.

This can be judged from the appearance of the knife.

The door is completely dark, and the blade is engraved with triple lotuses. After it is pulled out, the blade is engraved with Sanskrit.

The so-called flower blooms to reveal the Buddha nature, and the flower here refers to the lotus.

And if you really want to dig deeper, opening the door can summon the dead by offering sacrifices. In a certain way, it is also deeply connected with the Buddhist theory of reincarnation.

If this knife has nothing to do with Xianfeng Temple, then at least Han Baiyi himself doesn't believe it.

Relatively speaking, the appearance of Chi Daobei Tears is much more ordinary, but the color is redder.

The reason why the Immortal Peak Master is strange is because he has never had any connection with the players in the game plot.

When the player controls the wolf to find Master Xianfeng for the first time, he is already dead and sitting in the torii, leaving only a scroll beside him.

If Han Baiyi hadn't happened to encounter the Red Ghost Rebellion, he really wouldn't have been able to remember this character.

Because the things he left behind are throughout the game, and he himself seems to have no sense of existence.

It wasn't until Han Baiyi received news from Master Dao Ce and his apprentice that he suddenly felt that something was not right.

If you think about it carefully, there are a total of four endings in the entire Sekiro game, two of which are guided by this Immortal Peak Master. The Immortal Slash he brings is even more necessary to cut off the undead. He must be obtained.

Only the scriptures left behind can continue to push the game forward. The immortal research he spearheaded has made the entire Xianfeng Temple a biochemical research institute in the eyes of players.

All of this had to make Han Baiyi start to use his brain to think about what kind of monster this is?

In the original plot of the game, why did he die after living for more than 800 years? Why is he alive now?

Why was Senboji Temple, which was supposed to protect Ashina, now the vanguard of Ashina's massacre?

Comparing the differences between the Sekiro world and the game, Han Baiyi discovered that the reason why he led the Red Demon Rebellion was probably because he did not massacre Ashina's generals like in the original plot.

In order to force Ashina to take the initiative, he had no choice but to take this tactic and guide his masters and disciples, who were studying Red Oni and had deals with Ashina, to launch the Red Oni Rebellion.

Although the master and apprentice were not good people in the original plot, and they would induce Ashina soldiers and civilians to enter the laboratory during the research process, at least they were not as unscrupulous as they are now.

But why?

Master Immortal Peak, why are you so eager to eliminate Ashina?

These questions piled up in Han Baiyi's mind one by one. Every action a person takes has its own reasons.

But Han Baiyi couldn't understand, was there any inevitable conflict between Wei Ming and his eternal life?

Is there any connection between this and his death in the original plot?

Why is an old monk who lives a poor and lonely life with almost no enjoyment at all so obsessed with immortality?

He can't have a wife, right?

Gradually walking along the road in the forest of Bodhisattva Valley, Han Baiyi habitually came to the teleporting ghost Buddha in Bodhisattva Valley.

The four-handed ghost Buddha statue has its hands clasped together and its hands raised, holding a burning flame, surrounded by a circle of ghost fire.

Even if he just looked at it from a distance, Han Baiyi could feel a strong sense of inspiration.

Although he didn't know the principle behind the teleportation between ghosts and Buddhas, Han Baiyi could at least tell that the flame was burning with energy similar to spiritual power.

Probably some ancient black science (immortal) technology (technique).

But as soon as he glanced over, there was a monk who looked almost like a skeleton suddenly in the place where the Ghost Buddha was originally empty.

He is wearing a purple cassock and a Buddhist crown on his head.

Looking carefully, the skin on the monk's body has completely decayed, and is as black as ink. On the clasped palms, the same decayed bones can be faintly seen inside. The eye sockets are hollow, the eyeballs are unknown, and the lips are rotten, revealing the blackened teeth inside.

From his feet to his waist, there were slowly crawling centipede-like insects.

Han Baiyi's pupils narrowed.

Immortal Peak Master.

Wow! How could this person be so ugly!

That's what he thought in his heart, but Han Baiyi's first reaction was to straighten his back and jump out with flying claws.

But before he could make any move, the skeleton-like Immortal Peak Master bowed slightly to him, and the ghosts and Buddhas behind him suddenly lit up, and flames shot up into the sky.

Han Baiyi's eyes just flashed, and his figure had already changed.

Looking up again, I was already close to the pool.

In front of him was a gorilla that was five or six meters tall, with thick hair on its neck, and a giant 1.34-meter knife stuck in its neck. It was covered in white hair and was scratching its red buttocks with its hands.

The waterfall in front of him suddenly flowed down from the cliff, pouring on the giant ape in front of him, but it was just like a shower and failed to shake him in the slightest.

The giant ape seemed to smell something, its broad nose moved slightly, and it turned its head to look around.

‘Pfft’

The flying claws shot out plunged into the lion ape's anus.

The giant ape let out a cry of pain, turned around and glared angrily, just in time to meet the eyes of the little man behind him.

Han Baiyi looked confused.

"You damn old bald ass tricked me!!!"
