Chapter 117 Do a little favor

Gold Anchor Auction House.

"Are you sure again, is it him you saw before?"

In the corridor, Mark from The Hague Gang looked at the two apprentices in front of him and asked in a low voice.

In his hand he held the portrait given to him by Blumer, the deacon of The Hague.

It is clearly Colin's face above.

"Yes, sir." The two apprentices of the Hague Gang looked at the portrait carefully again and nodded again in confirmation.

"Yeah." Mark put away the portrait with a calm expression and walked towards Hart from the law enforcement team on the other side.

He came with Hart.

In other words, he is a specialist sent by the Hague Gang to accompany Hart to the Gold Anchor Auction House's monthly large-scale auction.

The purpose is simple——

The proper tribute is this month's tribute to Hart's law enforcement team.

After doing all this, he was about to leave.

But I never expected to see a familiar figure from behind when I left.

"Lord Hart." He walked closer, nodded to Hart, and said:

"Confirmed with the two gangsters sitting next to him.

According to what they said, the wizard's appearance is exactly the same as the new portrait that Deacon Bloomer gave me yesterday."

"It seems that I did read it correctly. That figure is indeed the target that our Hague Gang is looking for."

"Since it looks the same as the portrait Blumer gave you, it can't be wrong."

Hart smiled in agreement.

At the same time, he stepped sideways to get out of the way of a waiter wearing the standard black robe of the Gold Anchor Auction House who was passing by in the corridor.

Mark apparently went to Blumer to apply for the use of the retrospective crystal.

The new portrait determined in this way is correct as long as the target is not an official wizard.

Mark nodded.

Hart turned and walked towards the office and said:

"Go in and wait for a while. I just asked the Golden Anchor Auction House for assistance in the name of the law enforcement team. I think it won't be long before we can get him back."

As he walked into the office next to him, he turned back and said with a smile:

"After all, no one in Bananca Island dares to deny face to our law enforcement team.

So...don’t think it’s a big deal. It’s just a small thing.”

“The Hague Chamber of Commerce has made considerable contributions to the development of the island on weekdays, and has been actively cooperating with the work of the law enforcement team.

We should help with this little thing."

His tone was gentle, not at all arrogant because Mark was just an ordinary commissioner who came to pay tribute from the Hague gang and he was a member of the law enforcement team.

A friendly attitude doesn't cost any magic stones, but it can bring unexpected gains.

"Thank you, sir." Mark nodded and walked into the office.

The next second, a slight noise came from the corner of the corridor not far away.

He paused for a moment and looked subconsciously, but found nothing.

Shaking his head, he continued walking into the office.

The two previous gang members had already been sent away by him.

On the other side, Hart walked into the office and greeted the white-robed auctioneer in front of his desk with a smile.

"Aili, long time no see. Do you mind if we come in and sit for a while?"

"Of course, my friend." Eli stood up and approached with a smile.

He knew Hart. Although this person was indifferent in nature, he was good at face-saving, making it difficult for people to find fault with him, and he was suitable for casual friendships.

Mark followed Hart to the four-seater sofa in the reception area next to the office and sat down.

Ai Li also walked over, and behind him was a maid carrying black tea.

"Drink some tea." Ai Li sat down with a smile and motioned to the maid to put down the black tea.

Hart picked up the exquisite platinum teacup, sniffed it gently, and said with a smile:

"The Naishu tea you have here is indeed a top-grade product. It's just more fragrant than anywhere else."

Aili smiled slightly, picked up the teacup, and said:

"If you like it, I'll give you some as a gift when you leave."

"Then it's settled." Hart said cheerfully, and then added, "I happened to find a batch of beauty shells from the port yesterday, and I will ask someone to send some to you later."

Eli smiled and did not refuse.

It's human nature to come and go.

The two chatted for a few more words.

Hart suddenly changed the topic and took the initiative to provoke the ignored Mark next to him and asked:

"By the way, I remember you said that the target was good at disguise. Why did he reveal his true face in the auction house?"

Mark picked up the teacup, concealing his nervousness. He frowned and said:

"Perhaps you are not vigilant enough and think that the auction house will not meet us?"

"Maybe..." Hart looked at him, nodded in agreement, then turned to Eli on the opposite side and said:

"We were talking about a target recently wanted by The Hague Chamber of Commerce. He just participated in the auction just now."

"Oh, what a coincidence." Ai Li said.

"Mark, why don't you take out the portrait and show it to Eli, maybe he'll have an impression too."

"Okay." Mark responded dryly, took out the portrait from his arms and handed it to the white-robed auctioneer Eli.

Ai Li took it, unfolded the portrait, and frowned slightly.

After a moment, he relaxed his brows and said:

"...I remembered. It turned out to be this particularly handsome young wizard."

"He is indeed handsome. Didn't Mark say that he is good at disguise?" Hart speculated, "Maybe he has undergone some life transformation in this aspect."

"I think so." Ai Li nodded in agreement and added, "Speaking of which, I have met him once before."

"Oh?" Hart asked at the right time.

Mark stared at them in silence, and before he knew it, he couldn't get in a word again.

"Just some time ago, this wizard came to the auction house to entrust the auction of a magic potion - it seems to be the golden four-leaf clover that was auctioned today..." Ai Li continued.

Hart, who was leaning on the sofa beside him, raised his eyebrows slightly after hearing the words golden four-leaf clover.

"In this case, maybe the reason why he didn't disguise himself at the auction today is because he didn't disguise himself when he came to the auction before!

So in order to participate in the auction normally and to get the magic stones in the auction, I have to show my true face."

Mark suddenly interrupted, speaking a little faster.

"A reasonable inference." Aili was stunned for a moment, then quickly smiled at him and praised him.

Hart, on the other hand, was a little distracted and seemed to be thinking about something.

But he kept talking.

"Well, that should indeed be the case."

The three of them continued chatting, waiting for the target to be brought back.

But time continued to pass, the sun was setting in the west, and rich golden light poured in from the window.

Even the white-robed auctioneer said he had something to do and left.

The tea in the cup became bland and tasteless.

But they still haven't waited for the goal to arrive.

"The target is good at disguise, maybe he escaped?" Mark put down the cold teacup in his hand and frowned as he speculated.

"Maybe." Hart seemed to be losing face, his face was a little gloomy, and he didn't know what he was thinking about.

The two of them were silent.
