8. Not the same magic

With the help of hand seals, Gallo mobilized the power of faith in his body, and drew the power of faith into a spell like weaving a pattern, condensing two balls of light on his hands.

Finally, he whispered a prayer:

"Goddess bless me! Let me learn this magic skill smoothly!"

"When I make money, I will help you repair the church later."

After saying that, he used a little force with his hands, crushed the ball of light, and activated the magic.

Flowers made of light began to bloom around him.

A palace composed of clouds also appeared on the ceiling again.

The exact same scene as when the girl bishop performed the spell appeared again!

The only difference is that the ethereal hymn floating in the palace is not that kind of ethereal hymn.

Rather, it is a weird song with a faster and more joyful tempo, sung in a language that does not exist in this world.

"Chicken, you are so beautiful...thump thump, thump thump, chicken, you are so beautiful..."

As the song sounded, the shadow of Baron House slowly emerged among the blossoming flowers.

It is said to be a shadow, but it is clearly visible. Not only can you see his facial features clearly, but even every hair is lifelike.

He still maintained the posture of kneeling and repenting, and his face no longer had the panic before death, but the calm and natural look on his face.

Along with the singing, the shadow gradually faded and finally disappeared completely.

The flowers and palaces slowly disappeared, and the strange singing gradually became quieter.

Finally, the magic ended and the bedroom returned to peace again.

Gallo frowned slightly, took a long breath, and sighed with some regret:

"Sigh... In the end, I still couldn't perfectly reproduce the 50-gold magic..."

The process was too fast and seemed unprofessional at all; the repertoire was wrong and it felt like playing basketball.

And why did a baron suddenly appear in the end?

Even with the protection of the goddess, I can only reach this level. No wonder the old bishop always said that my talent is not good...

He summarized the flaws and shortcomings in his mind, and muttered in a low voice:

"It seems that after I go back, I can't be lazy anymore. I have to practice more diligently and sleep less than two hours a day!"

"Only four hours of sleep is enough!"

At the same time, far away in the bishop's bedroom of Shenguang Cathedral, the stunning young bishop from before was suddenly stunned.

She closed the book in her hand, stood up from the table, walked to the window, and looked up in the direction of the manor.

Although his face remained expressionless, his blue eyes shone with surprise and confusion.

"The aftertaste of my magic has disappeared?"

The magical spell she used in the manor was already at the fifth level.

This is already quite a remarkable achievement. Many clergymen can barely master fifth-level magic in their lifetime.

She mastered the fifth-level magic at the age of fifteen, and it only took half a year from learning to mastering it.

This miraculous speed proved her astonishing talent in divine arts, and she was respectfully called the "Miracle Saint" by the church.

This allowed her to ascend to the position of bishop at the age of eighteen, becoming the youngest bishop in the history of Shenguang Sect.

As for the fifth-level divine spell, even after it ends, the lingering aftertaste will last for a while and maintain some weak connection with her as the caster.

But this time, the aftertaste dissipated far faster than she expected.

"Is it because the magic technique was not completely successful and failed to show the shadow of the deceased?"

"Or have I encountered a higher-level divine spell and my divine spell has simply become ineffective?"

"Some...curious..."

The girl whispered to herself, and then suddenly realized that she had spoken more today than she had in the past week.

So tired...

She simply stopped thinking about it, sat back at the desk, and continued to look through the book in front of her that recorded magical arts.

I hope she can slightly improve this magical technique.

Even considering her talent, this was a very troublesome matter and had already consumed a considerable amount of her time and energy.

So when I really talk, I don’t want to think about other things.

As for Gallo, he also didn't think about anything else. Even when he received his reward, he wasn't as excited as before.

Undine couldn't help but feel a little strange...

Is this guy really thinking about how to become beautiful?

After the carriage returned to Miya Church and put Gallo down, he suddenly remembered something and asked:

"That Captain Martin is not going to really arrest all those servants, torture them, and force them to take the blame for this matter, right?"

Undine shook her head and replied:

"Although this person is stupid and incompetent, he shouldn't be that crazy."

"He was just anxious to give an explanation to the Baron's nephew."

"But he has already spent 50 gold to invite the bishop. This explanation should be enough."

Gallo thought for a while and felt that this statement made sense, so he did not delve into it further. He said goodbye to Undine and walked into the church.

It was as deserted as ever, and the old bishop was not there either. He didn't know where he had gone.

Gallo first looked at the offering box expectantly.

As expected, it was empty inside...

He then lit another oil lamp and went to the basement.

This place has been transformed into the church's library, with several huge bookshelves lined with various books, most of which are old and yellowing.

Gallo was quite curious before. Why did his church have so many books if he was so poor?

Books are not cheap.

The old bishop said that these were offered by believers and gradually accumulated.

Gallo believed it, because the old bishop never lied.

But there are new questions:

We are all so depressed, why don't we sell all the books?

The old bishop did not answer directly, but silently picked up a book recording divine magic and handed it to him.

Gallo flipped through it and instantly realized the reason.

These books are too old, too old, and their appearance is too miserable.

Can't sell it at all!

That's fine, he can just use it to find books to read when he has nothing to do.

Just read various historical biographies as stories; just practice magic.

This will make a poor life less boring.

Gallo took the oil lamp and searched patiently in the bookshelf. It took him a while to find the book recording the ritual dance.

Although he remembered the actions of the young bishop when she presided over the ceremony before.

But he thought about it carefully on the way back and felt that he still couldn't copy it completely. He had to have something of his own...

This is called micro-innovation. We must develop our own characteristics and maintain differentiation from Shenguang Sect, so that we can be more competitive!

With this idea in mind, Gallo returned to the church, looked through the books, and wrote down the various movements and postures in them.

Then he tried to jump.

Done in one go and feeling good!

I am indeed an artistic genius, and I can master it as soon as I learn it!

Gallo nodded with satisfaction.

Then it was time to wait for the old bishop to come back and let him appreciate his dancing!
