Chapter 1800: The heroic South Vietnamese Royal Guard

When the Tang Dynasty's military completely switched to breech-loading guns, Europeans and Tatars were also able to produce their own muskets on a large scale. This is why the Tang Dynasty liberalized the export of muskets.

Such a large number of muskets cannot be wasted. Large-scale exports are normal operations. Making money is secondary. Further suppressing the military and communist R&D and production capabilities of various countries is the focus.

Nowadays, it does not mean that European countries cannot produce muskets, but when they find that it is cheaper and better to make them themselves than to buy them, naturally they are too lazy to make them themselves.

Without orders, firearms workshops have no profits, and no funds to develop better firearms and upgrade production lines. Over time, their ordnance production capacity will even decline further, let alone improve.

The main purpose is to make money from exports and at the same time hit the military R&D and production capabilities of various countries. Anyway, these muskets cannot pose any practical threat to the Tang Dynasty military, so they will be sold as long as they are sold.

After all, the Tang Dynasty has already adopted a large-scale replacement of breech-loaded rifled rifles. After the Guards replaced the Li Fu rifles, although the various designs of the Li Fu rifles, especially the precision rifles, high-quality barrels and

The design of metal bullets and magazines led to excessive costs, and the army and navy were unable to follow up the equipment on a large scale. However, the Army and Navy of the Tang Dynasty soon switched to combined rifles.

The combined rifle is a breech-loaded striker rifle that still uses integrated paper-cased ammunition. Although its performance is inferior to the Li Fu rifle, it is still an epoch-making product.

Even though the combined rifle has only been finalized for three years and the current output is still limited, it cannot match the strong military production capacity of Datang. In the past two or three years, the annual output has reached nearly 200,000 units.

Even though there are still some troops and a large number of militia units that cannot yet be equipped with breech-loading rifles, the front-line combat troops with combat missions have now fully re-equipped them. Even the second-line troops and even the militia units in important areas have also been equipped with breech-loading rifles.

Use a Minie rifle instead.

Even so, the military and all regular army units will be able to complete the replacement of breech-loading rifles within the next three years, and all overseas militia units will be equipped with Mini rifles.

As for muskets, they will be officially withdrawn from the military's equipment list.

The Kingdom of South Vietnam can be regarded as taking advantage of the Europeans. The Tatars were equipped with flintlock guns on a large scale. At the same time, the Tang Empire entered the era of rear-loading guns. This allowed them to purchase a large number of second-hand Tang muskets and equip them with troops.

.

In terms of the two main types of equipment, artillery and muskets, the thousands of troops of the Kingdom of South Vietnam in Africa have entered the mainstream level of countries in the world, and can stand shoulder to shoulder with European countries and the Tatars.

Well, you can’t compare it with Datang, there’s no comparison!

Not only guns and cannons, but also various other equipment. The army of the Kingdom of South Vietnam is also moving towards modernization and regularization. The food reserves used by the army include various cans imported from the Tang Dynasty, and various equipment, shoes, and military uniforms are all imported from the Tang Dynasty.

Imported from Datang.

If you don't look at the specific combat effectiveness, but only look at the organization, weapons, and clothing, you will find that this is almost a replica of the Tang Dynasty Army more than ten years ago.

The only exception is that their officers are still old-fashioned officers, and their ability to command modern armies is quite limited.

But even this is enough for them to gain a foothold in Africa.

After arriving in the new territory, the Kingdom of South Vietnam organized several large-scale mopping up operations, dispatching more than 6,000 troops and sweeping away all the indigenous people in the surrounding area of about fifty kilometers.

These South Vietnamese were much more ruthless than the Tang people and even the Europeans. They did not regard the local indigenous people who were still in tribal form and were dark in color as human beings, and they killed them without mercy.

Coincidentally, not only the South Vietnamese were like this, but their next-door neighbor the Annam Kingdom, also known as the Annam Le Dynasty, was conducting intensive and brutal mopping up operations in their new territory.

After all, for them, they came to Africa to survive, and they have a naturally hostile relationship with the local indigenous people. There is only so much land, and if the indigenous people plant it, the Annamites cannot plant it.

This is a war for survival resources, and no one will show mercy.

It has to be said that these Nanyang natives were a worm in the Nanyang region, but at that time they were neighbors with the Tang Dynasty, and the Tang Dynasty was eyeing the Nanyang region.

However, after arriving on the African continent, they let themselves go, and the surrounding indigenous people were no match for them.

These migrating Southeast Asian countries, whether they are Siamese, Burmese, Annan, or South Vietnamese, have been waging wars with each other on the Southeast Asian Peninsula for more than ten years.

The war between them directly caused the population of the Nanyang Peninsula to plummet, leaving only nine out of ten households empty.

After so many years of war, the generals and soldiers who have not been wiped out cannot be said to be capable of fighting, but they have absolutely rich war experience.

For example, the Kingdom of South Vietnam has a royal guard. The number is not large, only more than a thousand people, but the combat effectiveness of these more than a thousand guards is not bad.

Why?

Because the soldiers inside are all veterans who have been tested for a long time in battles, and any one you pull out will be a veteran who has been fighting for five, six or even more than ten years.

This royal guard is also the ace force in the hands of the Mo royal family. It is personally commanded by the South Vietnamese King Mo Mao Cha, but most of the time it is still commander-in-chief and commanded by Crown Prince Mo Quan.

After arriving on the African continent along with Mo Quan and other South Vietnamese royal dignitaries, this force performed quite vigorously. When they first launched the mopping-up operation, they defeated a local indigenous army of tens of thousands and killed thousands of enemies.

The heroic performance of this royal guard even attracted the attention of some officers of the Tang garrison in Madizhou.

The local garrison in Datang even dispatched an observation team to observe the operations of this unit, and then came to the conclusion that the soldiers of this royal guard have a good fighting will, but the commander's ability is too poor, especially the commander of the South Vietnamese Crown Prince

Mo Quan, his tactical command skills are really poor.

Pull out any Tang Dynasty lieutenant and you will be able to beat him in terms of command ability.

If it were replaced by an officer from the Tang Dynasty, they would be able to sweep through all the nearby indigenous tribes just by relying on this royal guard.

However, when the commander is so scumbag, the royal guards can still perform so bravely, which indirectly proves the excellence of these soldiers.

Not only the Kingdom of South Vietnam, but also the neighboring Kingdom of Annan and Kingdom of Siam, and the Kingdom of Myanmar also have one or two elite troops with excellent combat capabilities. To deal with the local indigenous people, it is simply a matter of skill and skill.

.

This news soon became known to Europeans and West Asians, and then many European and West Asian businessmen came over and asked if they could hire their troops and help them recruit free labor.
